All Signs
Pluto is in Capricorn from 2008-2023. The energy of Pluto is to change and transform and take control. It wants to improve things by reducing them to the bare essentials and then rebuild them. Capricorn represents the government. This week there is a square between unpredictable Uranus and Pluto. (This is an ongoing dance from 2008 to 2015 but let's focus on right now. It last occurred between 1932-1934.) Many governments and institutions of authority are undergoing mutinies because certain forces want to strike a blow for freedom or fight against the status quo. Look at Washington DC. Hopefully, when the dust settles, there will be improvements. In the meantime, who wants to play Bureaucracy? It's easy. Everyone stands in a circle and the first person to do anything loses.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
You've been feeling rebellious against authority for some time. Perhaps you thought the feeling would just subside but it's not going away. As you redefine your relationship to the authority figures in your world, you will see that old patterns are being broken down. As this happens, others are forced to regard you differently. They see you in a new light. In turn, you feel freer of limitations either placed on you by others or yourself. Don't let this be a time of pointless rebellion. Instead, be courageous and start to let go of whatever is simply holding you back. This might be property, relationships, attitudes or prejudices. Your new theme song is, "Don't fence me in."
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Every one of us feels the revolutionary effects of Uranus squaring Pluto. However, your sign will experience this in a more subtle way. For you, it's an expression of growth and discovery. You have sensed this coming for a long time and you're right. Many of you will give up religions, belief systems and, possibly, careers for which you were academically trained, because you feel the fit no longer works. Whatever you're doing or whatever you believe doesn't ring true. This means you're getting ready for something new and, before you can move into what is new, you have to let go of the old. You can't have your cake and eat it, too.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
For the last five years, your hopes for the future have been changing. You used to identify with certain friends and groups. However, slowly over the past few years, this identification has weakened. Now you're not sure about some of these contacts. Partly, this is because you're attracted to new friends and new experiences. Don't hold on to people from your past because you think you have to, especially if this is holding you back. You are curious, you love to learn, you love experiences that are fresh and invigorating. Quite likely, you will seek new thrills and new freedoms with new groups who have new ideas. And that's the way it is.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
>From 2008 to 2015 represents a change in your life direction. (This will be evident in a few years.) Many of you are undergoing changes in your professional life, your career and your life direction in general. Perhaps in the past and again now, you want to stand up to parents, bosses, teachers and authority figures. Like Peter Finch in Network, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!" This might happen gently because you see new opportunities opening up, which allow you to move in a new direction. Or it might happen suddenly, like an eruption. Examine who you are and what you're doing in the world. Don't be afraid to let go. In my book, I call you The Barnacle. Capisce?
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
This dance between Uranus and Pluto from 2008 to 2015 brings you chances to expand and change your world through publishing, travel, religion, education and politics. It's important to be flexible and let go of rigid ways of thinking. The more flexible you are, the easier you can go with these changes. If you are rigid, harsh energy might force these changes upon you, i.e. forcing you to travel or change your beliefs. Don't let an accident or some external force bring about these changes. Be open to change within your own being. Essentially, you have to let go of certain aspects of thinking and believing. This means you have to adjust and have an open mind.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Because you're encountering values in others that you might want to embrace, you are changing. This means you are letting go of previous values. It's as if an old order in your life is passing away. These changes you are undergoing are not only about accepting values, they also affect joint finances, shared property and how you share your resources with others - a spouse or business partner, for example. Maybe it's time to quit being dependent on someone else? Maybe you feel impatient with sharing? Maybe you want to break away from obligations, especially debt obligations. You want to be stronger and more independent.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
You are not a sign that likes to go it alone and, since 2008, you've been redefining your idea of partnerships and close friendships. It's been difficult because some friendships and partnerships had to go by the wayside. Shaky relationships are ending. You might even experience some in-your-face conflict with someone. This means you have outgrown this relationship and you will therefore move on. With others, you will change, modify and create a better relationship. This will be especially powerful when it affects your home and family. Save what you can but let go of toxic relationships. ("Go! And never darken my towels again.")
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
The revolution that you have been undergoing since 2008 is a bit more obvious for your sign because it pertains to your work. For the last four or five years, you have been fighting for your independence, especially to escape from what you perceive as oppressive authority. Two things are happening simultaneously: You are becoming free from the demands of others and, at the same time, developing a new attitude toward your work. Make the change work for you. A radical rebellion might only be shooting yourself in the foot. You might also encounter more work with technology, especially computers. This is good, it's part of the process that will free you and bring you more opportunities in the future.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
This is an exciting time in your life. Lots of changes have been taking place. Many of you have been giving up people, places and possessions and will continue to do so. Part of this is because you've been seeking new recreations and amusements. You want life to be a holiday. Perhaps you want to live somewhere where you feel like you're on a holiday. And you want to discover new ways to express your creativity. You might do this by having an outrageous love affair. Or your life might change radically through children. Whatever you do, you will feel more comfortable taking risks, which is something you like to do. You will love exploring new media and techniques.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
There has been a revolutionary change in your life in the last four or five years at home or where you live. This might involve change of residence or a major renovation. Perhaps the change is (or was) with family members? If important relationships with family members break up, you may feel you have lost your roots. Don't worry. What you are losing is something that enslaved you. As you go forward in the future now you will be freer, and especially free from old patterns and habits that you no longer have to respect. If in future you choose to reestablish contact, it will be in a way that works for you.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Each sign has been undergoing different revolutionary changes that are ultimately a break for freedom in different areas of their lives. The changes that you have been undergoing affect your everyday world. It's been happening since 2008. Your daily contacts, your neighbours, and even your mental attitude have been constantly shifting. Sometimes the most casual conversation will suddenly have huge meaning or import. It's as if life is a daily discovery. (Which, of course, it always is if you're aware. But time flies when you're unconscious.) Don't look for security in familiar places. Your life is changing now and if you go with the flow your world will become a source of wonder and excitement.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
It's been up-and-down with earnings and finances since 2008. What is really going on is your values are changing. This could be conscious or unconscious. Right now you might experience a windfall or a sudden loss that could go either way. The main thing is that you had to (or have to) let go of a self-destructive way of earning your living. This is your wake-up call. If you're aware of it, the changes will be more graceful. If you're unaware of it, something external will make the changes happen and they will surprise you. Ultimately, you will make your living in a way that is more exciting - and perhaps related to Uranus, which rules aviation, the radio and astrology.
