Aquarius Forecast for 2011

Introduction to Annual Forecasts for 2011
Pluto is in Capricorn. It has been in Capricorn since November of 2008. Before that, the last time Pluto was in Capricorn was in the mid 1700s. Hey - that was when we had the Industrial Revolution, the American Revolution, and the French Revolution. Verrrrry interesting. In astrology, Pluto has rulership over countries, and Capricorn rules the government. That's why when Pluto returned to Capricorn in November of 2008, it was easy to predict President Obama would be elected because that was a revolutionary event! The first Afro-American President of the United States.
This year, in 2011, the next two outer planets will change signs. Neptune moves into Pisces (the very sign it rules) and Uranus moves into Aries.
Do we care?
Well, the last time Neptune was in Pisces was between 1848 - 1862. And the last time Uranus was in Aries was 1927-1935. (Tough times for many people!) However, the last time that both planets shared the signs they are moving into this year was from 1848 to 1851. Holy French fries! Those dates coincide with the great potato famine in Ireland. Does this mean we're heading into a famine? Sadly, in some places, I fear the answer is yes. Fortunately, in June this year, Jupiter the planet of wealth is moving into Taurus, the sign of tangible wealth and banks. This will bring some positive juice to financial institutions.
We are definitely entering a decade where fire hazards will be more harsh than usual. Uranus rules explosions and unpredictable events, and Aries is a feisty Fire Sign! Do yourself a favour and buy a fire extinguisher. (I did. It cost $30.) Install smoke detectors. Keep cooking areas and stoves clean. Make sure your microwave vents can "breathe." Be smart with heaters, and don't use ordinary extension cords for them. Check electrical cords and get rid of old frayed stuff. And never smoke in bed. In just one year, when Uranus was in Aries during 1845, 1000 buildings burned in a Pittsburgh fire; 1500 houses burned in Quebec fire; 1000 homes burned in New York city fire, 1600 were killed in a theatre fire in Canton, China.
Not only are fire hazards on the increase, but fiery revolutions are more likely to take place as well. Yes, the natives are getting restless. "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!"
We will start to see new patents for new inventions, especially related to drugs, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, gas, oil, and the film industry. The explosive quality of Uranus in Aries is very creative and exploratory!
The last time that both Neptune in Pisces and Uranus in Aries occurred, we had gold rushes. "Go West, young man, go West!" Indeed, with Jupiter, the planet of expansion and wealth moving into Taurus, the sign associated with tangible wealth and banks, we can expect the economy to look richer in some way after the summer. About time!
Look at You!
You're modern, cutting edge, and often scientific or high-tech because, basically, you're born 50 years ahead of your time. Because you care and you want to save the planet, you're always waving a petition in someone's face. You're a networker extraordinaire. You know how to assemble people of like minds to make a difference and strike a blow for freedom! You're original, eccentric, and one-of-a-kind. (You unique types are all alike.) (Ya think?) you have such highly charged energy, many of you can put out streetlights. (Oh yeah!)
Who Doesn't Have a Past?
If you think back you see now that you gave up a lot at the end of the '80s and the beginning of the '90s. Life was pretty squirrelly then. You were packing and unpacking because ultimately, by the early '90s, you were on an entirely new course of action. By around 1994-95, you were wondering what to do to earn a buck. You were also wondering what your basic values were i.e. "What really matters?" The year 1997 brought some goodies your way, remember that? However, soon you were on the move again at the end of the '90s and by the turn of the millennium you were determined to put down roots somewhere. Finally! Fourthly, this was a good time for real estate and to expand your family or improve your domestic scene. By 2002, partnerships were blessed and you had a sense of accomplishment, although your hard work was just beginning. By 2005, partnerships were stressed, which meant that many of you were getting along on less around 2008-2010. But you survived.
Reality Check for 2011
In every sense of the word, you have a feeling of expectancy this year. That big pregnant pause. You're waiting for something quite grand to happen but it's not here yet. This is a very optimistic year for you. You're full of positive thinking. You see opportunities and possibilities. Relations with relatives and siblings are rewarding. Later this year and into 2012 you'll experience more joy in your family. Many of you will expand your family through birth, adoption, or marriage. This is also a great time to invest in real estate or to put money into your own home so that you can enjoy it more. Basically, you will have that feeling that your life is really coming together this year. But don't be smug -- not yet. What you're really reaching for is not within your grasp for about two more years. Don't hesitate to buy gifts and goodies for family members or for your own home because this year and next year, home, children, family vacations and opportunities to be creative will be exciting! You might say that your chickens are coming home to roost, and it's true.
Career and Reputation in 2011
This year is a time of preparation. You know you're quite near something wonderful, but not quite there yet. You see what you want to achieve but it's still beyond your grasp. You might say this year is a prelude to what is to come in a few years. Therefore, get ready! Take courses or further training that can hone your skills so that you're in the best position to take advantage of this time of harvest that is waiting for you in 2013-14. It is your good fortune that just when you need to "prepare," Saturn, the Great Teacher will help you get further training and expand your skills and your experience. Your life will run more smoothly. Saturn will encourage the establishment of structure, either physically or organizationally. People who are older and more experienced will recognize your efforts. Some of you will travel for work or to learn something and expand your skills. Others might be involved with ventures with foreign countries or people from different cultures. There is a focus on publishing, the media, higher education, medicine, and the law this year. Do not assume you have it all. Do what you can to get in the best position possible to milk every opportunity two years from now!
Relationships Close (and Closer) in 2011
Relationships are quite good this year, primarily because you are happier. If someone is not happy, obviously, relationships cannot be happy either. But this year, you have a strong sense of optimism. You're looking forward to your future. You sense that good things are coming down the road for you. In addition, relations with siblings and relatives are more supportive than usual. On top of that, you will feel more in control of your world, which means that, in turn, your family life will be more positive and joyful. Naturally, all these situations combine to make you a better partner, and certainly more attractive in somebody else's eyes. In fact, many of you will make a serious commitment to someone this year because you want your home and your private life to be enriched and as happy as possible. You're ready for the whole enchilada. "Bring it on!"
Money in 2011 (the Folding Kind)
It's hard to say if your earnings will increase or decrease this year. One thing is certain: You are moving toward a time of harvest in your career. As you approach this period of culmination, many of you will get raises, promotions, or feel an increase in your own business. On the other hand, this year might be a holding pattern for you financially speaking. Hard to say. One thing is certain, you're happy this year. You're unusually optimistic, more so than in more than a decade. After the summer of 2011, you have an 18-month window where real estate will benefit you. This means you can expand or improve your own home, or invest in speculative real estate. Family businesses are also beautifully favoured -- the best since 1999-2000. Yay!
The Fast Track for Improvement in 2011
For some signs, the opportunities for improvement are subtle. But your opportunities for growth and improvement in 2011 are strong and plentiful! In fact, you're actually attracted to learning something this year. Many of you will explore religion, metaphysics, systems of higher consciousness or ways of becoming a more effective human being. You will do this through formal training or travel or both. The stars want to help you to lay the groundwork for your future success. Therefore, don't waste time this year! Whatever you do now will enhance the wonderful things that can happen to you in 2013-14. This is also a time of testing where you will find out which goals are doable, which goals you really want, and which goals you might let go of. After all, you can't have everything. Mercury Retrograde in 2011
You can use Mercury retrograde times or be abused by them. What's it gonna be?
(Of course, Mercury never really goes backwards. This is just "relative" to planet Earth.)
The bad news: The dates below are poor times to buy cars, trucks, bikes, computers, printers and phones. Expect delays, lost items and confused communications! Best to finish things, not begin them. Charge your cell phone. Pay your phone bill. Keep gas in the car and a working flashlight. Smile a lot. Buy fresh flowers and dark chocolate.
The good news: The dates below are good times to tackle repairs. Clean out closets, drawers, desks and cupboards. Finish projects. Do research into the past. Study anything. Contact people from your past. Re-apply for a job. Try to get something you wanted before that fell through. Try once again! Organize old photographs. Finish that "To Do" list. These things will go surprisingly smooth!
There are two sets of dates below: The actual time of Mercury retrograde is on the left. But Mercury slows down ahead of time, and then takes a long time to "catch up" to where it was when it first went retrograde. These longer-time periods are on the right. When buying pricey transportation or a computer, I recommend respecting the dates on the right.
