All Signs
On Feb 14, Saturn entered Aries where it will stay for two and a half years. (The last time this happened was from 1996 to the spring of 1999.) Saturn wants us to grow up and be responsible for our duties and obligations. Wherever Saturn moves through our chart represents where we must direct our closest attention. The truth is Saturn can help us get what we want in life because most of us are actually out of touch with what we really want. This is why it might create loss in things we think we "need." Because Saturn is meant to show us who we truly are, it is called the Great Teacher. I realize that "know thyself" is meant to be our finest quest in life -- but I think I'll settle for looking in my bathroom mirror without makeup.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Saturn's shift to your sign means you're setting off on a new 30-year journey. Congratulations! In the first seven years, you will reinvent yourself! This is why you might enter a new situation - so new that you might even change your daily wardrobe. In the last 14 years, your focus was more on your external world; but now, you will turn your attention inward because it's time to learn who you are on your own terms - not on other people's terms. This is an excellent time to explore counselling or psychotherapy. Take care of your teeth. Exercise to keep your joints flexible. Respect your body.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Many of you are going through cupboards, closets, garages and storage spaces getting rid of what you no longer need. Yes, you want to lighten up! In fact, in the next few years, not only will you get rid of possessions you no longer need, you will get rid of attitudes, beliefs, friendships, jobs and countries that you feel no longer serve your purpose. Friendships and activities that once defined you will begin to have less appeal. This is why the next several years will be a time of streamlining your life so that you're ready to step out in a new world when Saturn enters your sign in 2028.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
You are a social sign; however, in the next few years, you might outgrow certain friendships. Your social life might shrink because when it comes to relating to others, "quality over quantity" will be your motto. You might take on a leadership role with considerable responsibilities. You will ask yourself if your goals are realistic? You might redefine future plans. Whereas before you had vague ideas, now you will define specific steps to achieve your vision of your future. It's a good time to enter into professional networks and any relationship that helps to give you a clearer long-term direction.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Ta da! You are entering your time of harvest, which occurs every 30 years. This will be a time of great responsibilities when you feel proud of your achievements -- a graduation, getting married, having a baby, opening a business, receiving a big promotion, enjoying celebrity, winning awards or kudos - it could be anything. Whatever you do will be visible. You might deal with bosses, the government and institutions more than usual. Some of you will be more involved with a parent. Whatever happens will give you more personal authority, respect and a clearer sense of your life direction.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
In the next several years, Saturn is in your fellow Fire Sign giving you support in a practical, tangible way. Your life will run more smoothly. Take advantage of this and accomplish as much as possible! This is a time when you can make your world stronger and more secure against future difficulties. This is an excellent window of time to build up your physical strength. It's also time to get "performance ready" for three years down the road, when you will receive acknowledgement for your hard work. You will receive recognition for your achievements and impress others with your diligence. Something will happen that makes you feel proud!
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
In the next few years, you might find that different kinds of support - including the resources of others - will be reduced or even removed. For example, recently many of you have left a relationship or a partnership, which means you might receive less practical and emotional support because that partnership is over. Or a scholarship or a bursary might end. Whatever happens will tend to throw you back on your own 2 feet and make you take responsibility for your world. Fear not. This does not mean your life is going downhill. Au contraire! You will achieve your time of harvest in about five years! However, the next few years will be a time of major transformations in your life when intense encounters with others will help you to define yourself and how you deal with everyone. Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
In the last 14 years, you worked to develop yourself. In the next few years, you will grow and experience yourself more through one-to-one relationships. These close associations might test you. Coworkers might make greater demands on you. Partners and spouses will require patience, tolerance and understanding on your part. Relationships that are weak might end. If you enter a new partnership, it might be with someone who is older or more serious. You are about to learn how to say no, as well as how to commit. You will also learn how to handle conflict, which is something you can do but are reluctant to explore because it's easier to please someone.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
For the next two and half years, you'll bust your buns working hard get better organized. You will want to put everything in order so that you can make the maximum impact - about three years from now - when you make your debut back into the world! Very likely, you will feel your effectiveness as a human being is being tested. (And this is true!) Conserve your energy because it's easy to work too hard and suffer from burnout. Treat your body like a tool that needs to be well cared for. Take care of your teeth and your skeletal structure by stretching or exploring Yoga or Tai Chi - whatever appeals. Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
In the next 2 1/2 years, Saturn will be in your fellow Fire Sign, which is supportive to you! It will be like the third leg on a three-legged stool that supports you to work well with your inner energies. This is why your life will run more smoothly and things will tend to come out well. It's also why you will be able to accomplish as much as possible, especially if you're training in sports, the arts and teaching. Because you love the outdoors, you'll be pleased to know that in this window of time, you can build up your physical strength. Children might become an increased responsibility in your life. You might also tone down your socializing with others because casual schmoozing will appeal less. Whatever you produce now will be the result of hard work and applying your own creative efforts.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Your ruler Saturn will focus on your personal and domestic life in the next few years. Things you've been "putting up with" will now come to a head. You'll want to reorganize your domestic world. You might renovate, downsize or take on increased responsibilities with property. Repairs are likely because what you want to do is create a firm base for yourself and your family. Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
In the next several years, many of you will have a change of residence, a change of jobs or both. One thing is certain: you will develop a better mental discipline and be more aware of being clear in your communication with others. You might be more cautious in conversations - playing it safe.
