Some years, the planetary aspects for the holiday season are stressful. Nevertheless, this year, even against the tragedy of suffering all over the world, we have a Christmas miracle because the holiday energy is bursting with feelings of goodwill and joy. Those of us who can share happy times with family in this holiday season are fortunate. Family is love. Erma Bombeck said "A grandmother is someone who pretends she doesn't know who you are on Halloween." Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!
Aries (March 21-April 19)
This year, as every year, the holiday season is a powerful time for you because the Sun is always at the top of your chart, which means you look good to everyone! When the Sun is at the top of your chart (which occurs once a year), it symbolizes that you are thrust in a spotlight that is flattering! Therefore, people admire you even if you don't do anything special. Mars will ignite your desire to travel and "get away from all this." Meanwhile Venus is in a part of your chart that can attract money to you, especially through your spouse or business partner or a financial institution. (Good time to seek a loan.) Venus will also heighten affection in romantic relationships. Enjoy your good fortune!
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
This is a lovely week for you because lucky Jupiter is still in your sign, which is fortunate for you in personal terms; and fair Venus is directly opposite your sign, which is the best position it can be for all your relationships - platonic, romantic, and even with your enemies. This placement of Venus allows you to more easily express your affection to others, which of course, is something everyone likes to hear. Disputes about shared property, inheritances, debt or money that is owed to you might be a factor at this time. (This is not a good time to get a loan.) You might also have disagreements about how a limited amount of money is being spent. (Did you know you can de-escalate any situation by saying, "Are we about to kiss?")
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
This is a happy holiday season because you feel proud. You have achieved something that's important to you. Quite likely, it's the culmination of something you've been wanting for a long time. This means you have that sense of finally having "done it." Your patience with partners and close friends might be tested because fiery Mars is opposite your sign where it will stay until January 3. Think of this as a blessing (which you didn't really want) because it gives you the opportunity to cultivate patience - and patience is a virtue. Fortunately, Venus promotes warm feelings of well-being with coworkers. It also gives a boost to your health, except it does make delicious food irresistible. (A minute on the lips is a lifetime on the hips.)
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
While everyone is enjoying the good feelings that this holiday week provides, you will have to deal with the Full Moon in your sign on Boxing Day. (The 26th) This means your emotions and feelings will be heightened a day or two prior to this, and the only thing you can do is accept it and be gracious. Of course, you're not the only one. Everyone will feel heightened emotions at the beginning of the week. The good news is that once the Full Moon peaks, problems that have been building up towards that time seem to almost magically disappear! You can look forward to a chance to rest and relax after the Full Moon. Give yourself a much-needed break!
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
This is a fast-paced time for you because you might be busy with your job as well as busy with holiday festivities. Fortunately, you have the energy to meet the demands of your tasks. Nevertheless, Venus is in a part of your chart that will welcome guests. You will enjoy redecorating and making your home look more attractive. You will be fond of pleasant times, and having congenial people around you; while Mars in a different part of your chart will make you want to seriously party! This placement of Mars will mean you have to be patient with kids. Oh well - there's no free lunch. (Time for a rum and eggnog?)
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
You are fortunate at this time of year because you're the only sign that has the Sun sitting in the most playful part of your chart during this holiday season. (Quite likely, you're not reading this column because you're in Mexico.) Of course, not every Virgo can blow town on vacation; however, every Virgo wants fun and recreation right now! Your attitude to relationships is more light-hearted. Your interest in children is stronger. Your primary drive is to do what you want and enjoy yourself! Another lovely advantage is that fair Venus is in your House of Communications sweetening all your words with everyone. Expect family you haven't seen for a while for the holidays. Even the outlaws - oops, in-laws.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Your focus on home, family and your private life continues. Nevertheless, both Mercury and Mars will make you want to get out and hustle with short trips, visits and shopping. You're also eager to talk to others. Because of Mercury retrograde, you will run into and hear from people you haven't seen for a while. Meanwhile, despite the classic holiday spending, this is actually an excellent time for you to attract money to you. (We like!) Naturally, you will be buying pretty things for yourself and loved ones. You'll be able to do whatever needs to be done because Saturn is helping you to work hard to achieve what you want. (Can you hum the tune to the Volga Boatmen?)
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Life is busy! You're out there doing last-minute shopping, and handling appointments, errands and possibly short trips as well. Fortunately, you will look like you're taking all this in your stride because with Venus in your sign, you appear charming, attractive and diplomatic to everyone. You're like the swan, swimming regally, while furiously paddling below. Some of you are working hard to earn money now because you're spending it! With Jupiter opposite your sign, close friends and partners are thankfully supportive to you. Having someone in your corner makes all the difference in the world. (Even if you have to feed them.)
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Your mind continues to be focused on money and cash flow. Like every Sagittarius, you have moneymaking ideas because you like to think big! Ever the optimist, you believe that good news is right around the corner. With fiery Mars in your sign, you have lots of energy to get things done recreationally and at work. However, when Mars is in your sign (something that can happen only once every two years for about six weeks), you might get filled up with pent-up energy. This is why it will be wise to get outdoors and blow off some steam. Mercury retrograde has slipped back into your sign now, which is why you might hear from ex-partners, spouses and friends. Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Although there are influences in your chart, for eg. Mars in your House of Friendships, that encourage physical activity with others (even competitions); nevertheless, right now the Sun is hiding in your chart, which means you're happy to take things easy and enjoy quiet times at home. Let everyone else be rushed off their feet and double parked somewhere. In many ways, you feel introspective at this time of year. That's why this is an excellent time to think about what you want for your new year ahead (birthday to birthday). Fear not. No one thinks you're being a Scrooge. Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
This is a busy, social time of year for you! Many of you are enjoying the company of friends as well as interacting with groups and organizations more than usual. Not only that, your ambition is aroused, which means you're going after what you want both professionally or in your personal life. If you can travel for pleasure - by all means do so because Venus wants you to escape somewhere with sunny skies and white sands. Turquoise waters and drinks with pink parasols in them.
