All Signs
Mercury goes retrograde three times a year creating confused communications, misplaced items and problems with computers, cell phones and printers. Vehicle breakdowns and delays with public transportation are classic. Since mid-October, Mercury has been slowing down. Finally, this week it goes retrograde until Nov. 21 in the sign of Scorpio. (Note: This is relative to planet Earth. In reality, Mercury doesn't slowdown.) However, the good news is that during Mercury retrograde, we can finish old business. All that stuff on the back burner and can be wrapped up swiftly! It's also an excellent time to study history or do research into the past. Read on to learn how this particular Mercury retrograde affects you. (Ya gotta take life with a grain of salt - plus some lime and tequila.)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
You have a great advantage during the next three weeks because it will be the perfect time to look inward and reflect upon deep psychological truths within yourself. You will be able to get in touch with hidden aspects of yourself. Conversations with others will have a profound effect on your mind because you will be thinking about life's values and what you can do with the rest of your life. You might have a strong effect on someone else's mind. This will also be an excellent time to wrap up negotiations about finances, shared property and inheritances and anything you own jointly with someone else. Get 'er done!
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
In the next three weeks, you have the perfect opportunity to clarify important issues with a partner or close friend. You can make strides by working with someone close to you and bouncing ideas off them. Their input will be helpful and they will be grateful for your input as well. Together you will accomplish more than either of you could accomplish separately. You will have a more detached view about things, which gives you greater objectivity. You will address past problems and old issues that have been unresolved. This is excellent. After all, at the end of the game, the King and the pawn go back in the same box.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Issues at work are a mixed bag for the next three weeks. Admittedly, you will suffer delays, goofy mistakes, mixed-up communications, late deliveries, missed appointments, staff shortages and equipment breakdowns due to Mercury retrograde. However, you will also have a marvellous chance to wrap up lots of work. Your ability to catch errors from the past and figure out problems and finish projects will be tops! This is an excellent time to sit down with bosses, coworkers and employees to learn more about their concerns and what they want to accomplish. People will revisit things from the past to see if modifying something will make it work better in the future. Be patient with errors and delays and look for ways to solve old problems!
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
In the next three weeks, you have a chance to speak up, especially about issues from the past that might have been overlooked or swept under the proverbial rug. Now is your chance to make it clear to others where you stand. You might also pursue chances to read, write, play games and do anything that requires mental agility, especially for pleasure. You might catch up on past reading that you have been intending to do or finish a project with kids. You might go on a vacation that has been a long desire. Of course, Mercury retrograde will bring old flames back into your world. Look sharp when you go out because living well is the best revenge.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
In the next few weeks, you will find yourself thinking more about past events in your life. Some of these past events might be affecting the present and how you live your life today. In the next three weeks, you might discover a link between these events of the past and what concerns you today, and this link will help you to solve a problem or give you greater insight into something. This is a time when you are examining your personal and family life to evaluate how it does or does not meet your needs. You will also look around your home to make sure that things are working for you and not against you. Hey - your home is your refuge - your personal castle!
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
You will encounter delays and problems with cars, trucks and bikes in the next few weeks. Give yourself extra time because you will encounter delays to whatever mode of transportation you choose, this includes public transportation as well. Meanwhile, you might hear from siblings, relatives or friends from the past? Short trips, appointments and errands will keep you hopping. However, Venus will ameliorate many annoyances of Mercury retrograde because Venus smooths relations with others, makes you appreciate the people in your life and also appreciate your daily surroundings. This is a good. Appreciation is the best experience to have on a daily basis.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Money is a big issue right now. Money, finances, cash flow, earnings and shopping. The whole enchilada. You love beautiful things and you will be buying beautiful things in the next few weeks. However, Mercury retrograde will also create delays in money coming to you. Cheques in the mail will be late. Online purchases might be delayed. At a deeper level, you will ponder your values in life. What really matters? They say the purpose of life is to be happy - but what makes you happy? One thing is certain, you will be able to wrap up old business deals and finish financial matters that have been dragging on. This is encouraging. One more thing to strike off your list. Yeah!
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Whoa Nellie! This week Mercury goes retrograde in your sign for the next three weeks bringing goofy mistakes and errors. You might forget things or misplace them. Technical equipment, cell phones, printers, fax machines, computers might suffer from glitches. Appointments will be changed or cancelled. Almost certainly, you will hear from ex-partners and old friends from your past. However, this can be an opportunity for closure or a chance to clarify something. This is also an excellent chance for you to examine yourself with more objectivity and detachment, perhaps seeing where past actions and decisions have led to your current situation. This could be illuminating!
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
You will have an amazing opportunity in the next three weeks to do research of any kind or dig deep and look into the past to discover solutions for old problems. Your mind will be like a hot knife cutting through butter. Voila! Fuzzy issues will be clearer, which means you can learn a lot. Much of what you learn will be personal and no doubt you will keep it to yourself because it might be revelations about your own unconscious drives and compulsions. You will enjoy solitude or quiet moments by yourself so that you can think and study. It will be easier to see how the seeds you planted in the past created your present world. Who knew? Now you do.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
You are in touch with old friends from your past and people from clubs and organizations. This could be a fun chance to trade lies about the bad old days. This contact might trigger memories of old goals and things that you thought you might do one day, but instead here you are doing something completely different. These observations can be illuminating. You might feel reassured to see that your past choices have taken you to where you are today. You might even see how contact with certain friends in your past influence your way of thinking, which in turn, influences the decisions you made that resulted in where you are today. It's a fascinating world!
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
A gaggle of planets at the top of your chart calls attention to you. They make you look attractive to bosses, parents, teachers, VIPs and the police. Actually, you look so attractive, some will strike up a romance with a boss. Nevertheless, Mercury retrograde is also at the top of your chart giving you a chance to revisit old questions about your general direction in life. You might run into bosses, parents and authority figures you haven't seen for a while. Although this is a poor time to initiate new projects, the next three weeks are an excellent time to finish old business. You might get the green light for an old project. You might even get an overdue promotion! Fingers crossed!
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
Many of you want to travel now. Likewise, many of you are also undertaking new studies, taking courses or going back to school. Some are exploring opportunities in publishing, the media, medicine and the law. If these opportunities are situations that existed in the past, your chances are excellent. However, it might be difficult to explore completely new opportunities in these areas. Your mind will also be attracted to philosophical ideas or perhaps matters related to metaphysics and abstract ideas about life and society. You realize that the ways that you have got the most experience have been your willingness to expose yourself to something different. So true!
