We all know when extraterrestrials from Mars arrive, they'll say, "Take me to your leader." But what else do we know about Mars? It's the fourth planet from the Sun. It has about the same landmass as Earth, but its volume is 15% of Earth's size. (We have oceans.) The Greeks called this planet Ares, after their god of war; and likewise, the Romans called it Mars after their god of war. Mars takes 687 days to orbit the Sun, so you have to wait forever to get your driver's license. Let's look at what Mars is doing right now because it always brings energy to wherever it is in your chart. It's the BYOE rule.
For the next six weeks, your life will accelerate! You will be high energy, which increases the odds of conflict with relatives, siblings and daily contacts. This is because Mars (ego) makes you identify with your ideas and opinions, which in turn, makes you argumentative. ("Moi?") Yes, you. Perhaps there will be times when you do have to defend your ideas, but perhaps some times, there isn't really anything at stake, except your ego. Do not coerce others into agreeing with you. Nevertheless, the upside is that you will be convincing, persuasive and successful at putting forth your ideas with panache and style! "It slices, it dices, it cuts through shoe leather!"
Mars is energy; and this energy builds up ego. Because Mars is in your House of Money and earnings for the next six weeks, you will identify strongly with what you own. You will think if you have wealth and possessions - you're the cat's meow. If you don't have lots of money or rich possessions, you'll think you're chopped liver. Both of these are not true. You are a person, with your values and your own focus on life. Wealth can grease the wheels but it does not define you. This explains why you might get into disputes about your values or something that you own. Look for ways to use your possessions to get work done. Work with what you've got!
Whoa Nelly! Fiery Mars is in your sign for the next six weeks. (This happens every two years.) It will trigger a time of great activity in your life, making you keen to work hard to further your own interests. You will assert yourself among others because it feels like this is your chance to show the world what you can do, which is why you'll come on like gangbusters! You will be more of a fighter for your own rights than usual, plus you will defend others. Your physical energy will be high and you will get a lot done. The downside is you might be insensitive or bulldoze over others. But hey, you are such a clever wordsmith - you don't have to do this, do you?
The planet Mars is hiding in your chart for the next six weeks. However, this can be a tad frustrating because it makes it hard to get credit for whatever you do. (Bummer.) It can also promote a vaguely irritable feeling within you. Basically, it means that you can be your own worst enemy during this time. When you assert yourself, something will backfire and suddenly, you end up with egg on your face. "Whaaat? (Ketchup helps.) Therefore, be as mindful and conscious of what you do and say as possible to avoid these little self-defeating acts. Avoid big confrontations with others - instead, confront yourself.
The energy of Mars is proactive. For the next six weeks, it will be in a part of your chart that makes it easy for you to define your goals and actively pursue them. You want to work today to create change for tomorrow. You might be more involved with groups and if so, you will take a leadership role. You might also be competitive. Because of the pushy nature of Mars, the best way for you to work with these groups is to coordinate your needs with theirs or vice versa, so that it is a win-win for everyone. You will want credit for what you do, which is tougher in a group situation. You see the problem.
For the first time in two years, fiery Mars will sit at the top of your chart for the next six weeks arousing your ambition to achieve! You will work hard at whatever you're doing because you will identify with the project. Ideally, it will be good if you have independent authority over what you're doing because you won't be tolerant of input from others. You want to be your own boss. And naturally, you want the credit! In one way, you will succeed; but in another way, you might alienate parents, supervisors, bosses or government officials. Conflict with coworkers might also arise. This means you have to be tactful and mindful of the feelings of others, which you can do.
You will have a strong urge to get out and travel in the next six weeks because of the energy of Mars. Not only will you want to explore your world (basically because you want to expand your horizons), but you will also want to do more creative, intellectual work and discover ideas, concepts and the thrill of new knowledge. Legal difficulties might arise during this time. You might also have disputes if you're involved in media, publishing or medicine. You might have to defend your beliefs. It's a curious truth that we all believe that others should believe what we believe - can you believe this? I do.
You are a very passionate sign; and in the next six weeks, you will be even more passionate because fiery Mars (your ancient ruler before Pluto was discovered) will travel through the "House" that is most associated with your sign. This could trigger a conflict with someone about shared property, debt, taxes, insurance issues or something to do with inheritances and wills. This conflict might force you to re-examine your values because you realize you are facing a clash of values. Sexual intimacy will be intense and transforming and dare we say transcendent? (We did.) Oh yes, it will be an interesting time ahead! (Don't leave home without a rose between your teeth.)
Life will be a bit challenging in the next six weeks because for the first time in two years, fiery Mars will be sitting directly opposite your sign. This will feel like you are a matador in the ring staring at a bull with flaring nostrils! Actually, that's not fair because of course, this so-called "bull" is simply your partner or close friend, who seems to be surprisingly annoying to you. (Like, what's with that?) One upside is you're ready to put your cards on the table and tell it like it is. However, let's face it, the people you are annoyed with right now are the people you love. Be ready to compromise. Avoid needless controversy. Send out for dark chocolate.
Because Mars goes through a particular part of your chart only once every two years, for some signs, it's tough. For other signs, it's a boon. You are one of those lucky signs. For the next six weeks, you will throw your energy into working hard and getting things done! You will also delegate to others more than usual. The one tiny challenge you will face is that much of what you do will have to be done for the benefit of someone else. Oh well, this is character building. Life isn't a bowl of cherries and you know it. If this frustrates you, you will have to learn how to deal with it gracefully -- and no sign is better than you at doing this. You'll be better for it. Stand tall.
Good news for you, dear Aquarius! Fiery Mars is now moving through the part of your chart that is about fun, pleasure, vacations, romance, sports events, playful times with children, the arts, and yes - pleasure and self gratification! (You get the picture.) Not only that, by moving into this part of your chart, Mars is leaving a difficult part of your chart related to family and home. Therefore, the next six weeks will be full of fun and exciting adventures! Sex will be memorable and passionate. Admittedly, parents might have conflict with their kids but nothing too much. The only "downside" is you want to play - not work. "Anyone for tennis?"
For the next six weeks, Mars will travel through the bottom of your chart, which deals with home, family and your private life. It will tend to shake things up and stir up energy from your deepest unconscious level. This can make you behave compulsively and even inappropriately. (Yikes!) You might suddenly be a bit petty and irritable with family members. Speaking of which, there will be increased chaos and activity at home for some reason - renovations, residential moves, visiting guests - something. If you live with parents, this will be challenging because Mars is defiant, aggressive and all about "me, me, me!" Forewarned is forearmed.
