The 2025 Annual Forecasts are available for pre-order. Annual Forecasts will be sent via e-mail on January 1st.
The Julian Calendar proposed by Julius Caesar was adopted in 45 BC. Eventually, due to poor sales, it was dropped and the Gregorian Calendar was adopted in 1582. This "Improved Calendar" needed a Leap Year every four years so those destined few who were born Feb 29 could struggle with when to celebrate their birthday. The ancient Chinese calendar is tied more closely with astronomy. Months begin on the day of the New Moon but it too, has leap months. Like last year's jeans, nothing always fits. The Chinese New Year celebration is Tuesday Feb. 5; and in this year, the millennials (1981-1996) will overtake the baby boomers (1946-1964). Not surprising. They have strong legs and can use a Samsung Galaxy Note9. Previous years of the Pig were 2007, 1995, 1983, 1971 and 1959. Do any of them ring a bell, Pavlov?
As the Year of the Pig begins, take stock and ask yourself what you want to change. Now is the time to set goals for the future. In particular, consider how satisfied or not you are with your friendships. Are you happy with the friends you have? Do you reach out to others or do you expect them to come to you? What kind of friend are you? Would you want to have you as a friend? And what about your relations to others in clubs and groups? How you act determines who wants to be with you. Write down some of your fondest dreams and hopes for the future. It's a start.
As the Year of the Pig begins, the New Moon takes place at the top of your chart, which means it's time to think about your career, your reputation in society and the relationships you have with parents and bosses. Give thought to your attitudes and expectations about authority figures - the police, courts, parents and bosses. In terms of your life direction, what progress have you made in the last year? Where are you headed? Where do you want to be two years? What about five years from now? Think about what you need to do this year to move in the direction you want to go.
This is the perfect week to take stock of your assets in terms of your education, your training and the level of sophistication and knowledge you have of your world. These are areas that determine how much you enjoy life, and also to a larger extent, how successful you can be. Not completely, of course; but your knowledge and experience are determining factors for your success in life. What further training or education can you explore that will be meaningful for you? You might take formal courses or you might educate yourself. What about travel? Travel is a fantastic way to learn more about the world! Any plans to get away somewhere this year?
This week the Year of the Pig ushers in a strong interest in sex, death and healing, and other people's money. A curious combo! What about your sex life? Are you denying yourself something that is important or is this something you have decided is now less important? This year promotes seeing experts like therapists, healers, bodyworkers or counselors. This focus on "other" extends into the wealth of others as well. (Particularly the wealth of your partner.) Examine your balance of financial resources. Can you rely on your own resources or do you need the resources of others? Is your debt out of hand? These are things to ponder this month and this year.
The Year of the Pig begins with the New Moon opposite your sign, which means this year you will focus on partnerships and close friendships. What are your basic beliefs about your closest relationships? How would you finish the sentence, "What people want out of me is___." Or "Whenever I get involved in a relationship __." How you finish these sentences reveals your core beliefs about what happens when you get involved with someone. If you believe people only want you for what you give them - you will attract takers. We unconsciously seek out those who support our beliefs about ourselves. But hey, you are more in control once you are aware of this.
This Year of the Pig will be interesting because it begins with the New Moon in your Sixth House of service, employment and health. (This also includes pets.) They say we should treat our body like a temple, but most of us don't. Why is that? How do you treat your body? Do you give your body what it needs? Do you abuse it? How you treat your body is linked with your sense of self-worth. Furthermore, are you happy in your job? Can you get a better job? The truth is you are always working for yourself, which is why you feel happy and self-respecting when you do something well.
The Year of the Pig begins with a spotlight on the part of your chart that represents creativity, the arts, children, vacations and romance. It's been called "creation, procreation and recreation." Do you value your creative talents? Too often we think it's all or nothing: If we're not as creative as someone famous, why bother? But you are a verb - not a noun. It's the "doing" of something that counts. It's all about the joy of personal gratification. Make sure you give yourself enough play time this year. Take big vacations and mini-getaways. Give yourself permission to have fun! We live in a work oriented society. Take time to experience the everyday joy and beauty in your life.
For your sign, one big aspect of the Year of the Pig will be an increased focus on home and family. This is as basic as it gets. Although our jobs can be fulfilling, most of us are working to support our home and family. It's easy to forget this until the threat of losing them looms ahead. Get your priorities straight. Get your home in order. Enjoy the company of your family. This is the safe place from which you sally forth to conquer your world! Ask yourself, what makes you feel safe? What makes you feel secure? What can you offer to your family? What do you bring to the table?
As this new Year of the Pig begins, it offers a message for you, which is this is the year to analyze your communications with others. Communications are important. If people misunderstand you, you will feel you are at cross purposes with others. Obviously, you have to communicate or you cut yourself off from humanity but how skilfully do you communicate? Do you know how to choose the right person to confide in? How educated is your vocabulary? Most of all, do you really listen to others or are you just waiting for your turn to speak? We are gregarious creatures! We all need to communicate. However, some people have a way with words - some not have way.
Whether you are aware of this or not, you are a sign that keeps score. You are aware of who has more than you, who has less than you, and how you "fit in." (It's a Capricorn thang.) This New Year of the Pig is the time for you to focus on your earnings, your possessions and your values in general. What are your attitudes about money? Your attitude about anything will affect how it manifests in your life. If you think money is "easy come, easy go," then it will be hard for you to hold on to money. If you think money is the root of all evil - you won't have much. If you are in debt, make a plan to reduce that debt so that you are happier in the future.
Oh my! This New Year of the Pig begins with the New Moon in your sign! In a way, it's all about you! Take a moment to think about the initial impact that you create on others. First impressions stick! What's your style? Are you eager and forthright? Do you hang back and guard yourself? Does your image reflect the real you? Posture is a big thing. The way you carry yourself is a subtle but profound influence on how others regard you - it reflects your confidence or lack of it. It's unfortunate that we are judged by our physical appearance, but it's true. Your way of dressing matters. (Lose the spandex.)
It's interesting because you are quite a psychic sign. Your Spidey sense is highly developed. The New Moon that begins this Year of the Pig takes place in a hidden part of your chart that among other things involve your subconscious. The things that we refuse to deal with or that we repress have a way of coming out in self-defeating actions or chronic health problems. This is the time to look at your behaviour. What things are you doing that might be undermining your success? Sometimes it's helpful to write down your dreams in the morning because they help you to learn more about yourself. "I can fly!"
