All Signs
This week there's a shift of the inner planets: Mercury is in Capricorn until the 23rd; Venus is in Sagittarius for the rest of the month; and Mars is still in Aries until mid February. These are minor changes in our lives but we will feel them. (God is in the details.) Mercury is all about our communication style and our thinking process. Venus governs our bias and what we like to do. Mars is a blast of energy that revs up a certain part of our lives. Let's take a look at this dance unfolding in January. Be hopeful, especially for those who are having their 15th straight month of winter. Hope is the feeling you have that the feeling you have isn't permanent.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
This is a great time to talk to bosses, parents and VIPs because Mercury is at the top of your chart. Make plans for your career or undertake new studies that might boost your career. Meanwhile, Venus will promote romance with someone "different." It will also encourage travel and exploration. (Something dear to your heart.) Naturally, with your ruler fiery Mars in your own sign now, you have the energy to do all of these things! You are PowerPoint on steroids! Because you are proactive, aggressive and your physical energy is high - remember to be considerate of others. Not everyone is in Aries with Mars in their sign.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
At the moment, there are four planets in the part of your chart that encourages travel and a desire to expand your world. This is why so many of you want to take a trip this month. However, it's also why many of you will sign up for a course or go back to school or take a workshop so that you can learn more. Sex will be passionate, affectionate and hot this month. This is also an excellent month to ask for a loan or get a mortgage because people will give you things. Meanwhile, Mars is hidden, which means hidden, negative energy might be at play on the part of someone else. If you suspect something fishy is going on - it is.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
This is an intense, passionate time for you! Mercury will encourage you to get in touch with a hidden aspect of yourself and do some deep thinking about life, mortality and all that stuff. It will promote discussions about finances, shared property and anything that you own jointly with someone else. Because both Venus and Jupiter are now opposite your sign, your relations with others are pleasant and smooth! Everyone is happy to see your face. However, Mars will make you keen to be active in group situations, perhaps even competitive? Mars will encourage physical activity with others, especially in athletics.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Four planets are opposite your sign including Mercury, which means this is a good time to clarify and explain issues to someone whether they're your spouse or a business partner. It's a good time to consult specialists. You will seek out intellectual stimulation and conversational banters with others because you love to bond with others. Meanwhile, fiery Mars is at the top of your chart, where it will stay for the whole month, arousing your ambition, possibly, to the point where you might be viewed as a threat to your boss. You're ready to work hard for what you want to achieve and you want to do so independently because you want to get the credit. And why not?
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
You're still in work mode. You are giving thought to how to best manage your life, which is the ideal thing to do at the beginning of the year. The better you manage your life, the more efficient and happy you will be in pursuing whatever it is you have to do. Fortunately, Venus and Jupiter will give you lots of opportunities for vacations this month as well as a chance for fun, social diversions! Creative activities are favoured. Playful activities with children are also blessed. Romance and love relationships will blossom! Mars will make you want to travel and explore more and this, combined with your desire to play, will guarantee a fun getaway for most of you. "I'm outta here!"
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
You're in a playful mood this month! You're still in party mode. You will also seek out opportunities to express your creativity. You will enjoy fun activities with children and any kind of social diversions, including schmoozing with friends and sports events. Nevertheless, fair Venus is sitting with Jupiter at the bottom of your chart encouraging entertaining at home, as well as opportunities to redecorate where you live because you have great plans for improving your home scene this year. You want to love your home, and so you want to make sure you're living somewhere that you really like. Well, don't we all?
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
You will need to be patient with others because fiery Mars is still opposite your sign making you more aggressive. You will notice that you are more direct and more forthright and - dare we say bossy? (We did,) It might shock you that you're coming on so strong. However, this placement of Mars does make you impatient with others! Obviously, patience is the antidote that you need to cultivate right now. Home gatherings, family conversations and repairs to your home will take place. Fortunately, Venus will soften much of your conversations and will help you to appreciate your surroundings and the goodwill of others in your life. (Gosh.)
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
This is a busy, fast-paced time and your dance calendar is full! Enjoy this accelerated pace of short trips, visits, errands, tasks and conversations with everyone plus increased reading, writing and studying. Remember that everything you do now will help you to earn more money this year. Knowing this is possible, roll up your sleeves and get busy! Since you have this rare favourable influence, work smarter and harder! (Make hay while the Sun shines!) Fortunately, Mars will help you to be industrious this month and even into next month. Admittedly, Venus will encourage you to spend money on beautiful things. Oh well. Life is short - and fat.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Please note that the next few weeks are an excellent time to buy wardrobe goodies because you will like what you see in the mirror. It's important to feel good about yourself when you shop for clothes. Many of us have inadvertently bought "depressing clothes" as well as spectacular, saucy numbers! Money and possessions are a big focus for you now, which is why you have excellent moneymaking ideas. This is a good time to look for a job, if this is on your mind, because you will do well in business negotiations and financial dealings. Nevertheless, Mars want you to be free to express yourself to others! (Mars will also activate your sex drive.) "Natasha?" "Boris!"
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
"Tigers and lions and bears, oh my!" Mercury in Capricorn makes you talkative and eager to express your point of view to others as your mind moves rapidly from topic to topic. However, Mercury in your sign also helps you to examine yourself with greater objectivity. It makes you want to get out and take short trips. Mars continues to stir things up at home. Admittedly, it can create tension with family members; but it also gives you energy to shove furniture around and tackle renovations and repairs. Venus continues to hide in your chart enticing some of you into secret trysts and love affairs. (Never resist temptation because it might not come your way again.)
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
This continues to be a relatively quiet and introspective time for you. Because your personal year is coming to an end, why not give yourself a report card? Take a look at your life. How well you are doing at the art of living? When you consider last year, how would you like things to be different this year? What do you want to improve? What do you hope to achieve? Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
You're popular time continues! This is wonderful to enjoy hanging out with younger people plus schmooze with friends. For you, (more than most signs), this is an excellent month to make goals. Give some thought to what you hope to achieve in the next year or two. If you know what you want to do and where you want to go, this will help you to make decisions in the future. If things are mushy and nebulous, it's hard to make decisions because you don't know what you want. Venus is at the top of your chart promoting relations with bosses, parents, teachers and the police. It attracts people and circumstances that will help you. You might also be in the position of making something look more attractive.
