This is a big holiday week; and tomorrow is Christmas. In my Annual Forecasts for 2018, (see my website) I discuss the influences of different planets for the coming year. However, one of these influences is a fabulous blessing. Yes, I'm talking about huuuuuge Jupiter. (Does this solar system make me look fat?) As a bonus this week, let's look at where fortune will smile on us - namely what Jupiter will bring for 2018. I love to hear about good fortune! Who doesn't? (Of course, it's bad luck to be superstitious.)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
The Sun is still high in your chart casting a flattering light on you, which is why it is easy to make a great impression on bosses, parents, VIPs - and even the police. Important people notice you and they are impressed! Obviously, since this happens only once a year - use this to your advantage! In fact, some are so impressed, you might strike up a romance with a boss, not necessarily your boss. Meanwhile, lucky Jupiter will open money gates for you in 2018, which means it will be easy for you to get a loan or mortgage or to borrow anything from anyone. Your partner will make more money and people will let you use what they own - perhaps their timeshare in Puerto Vallarta? (Be careful what you bask for.)
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Your urge to travel is still strong this week, which is perfect for those of you who are travelling for the holidays. You want to travel to learn more; plus you want to travel for pleasure, which means you can't lose. Mars is opposite your sign at this time, which can make you easily annoyed with partners and close friends. Consider this an opportunity to practice patience, which is a virtue. Meanwhile, things will definitely pick up with all your partnerships because with lucky Jupiter opposite your sign in 2018, this is the best year in over a decade to get married! Furthermore, existing partnerships will become sweeter, more relaxed and more mutually generous. Gosh.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
This continues to be an intense time for you because of the placement of the Sun, Saturn and Venus. This means everything that happens seems to be a big deal. And of course, it is. Actually, all this intensity is nature's way of letting you get in touch with your inner self. You will get a better understanding of your behaviour and why you do what you do or why you don't do what you don't do. You might even meet someone that prompts deep psychological self inquiry. But enough of Freud. Let's focus on your good fortune in 2018, which is that your health will improve and you will be able to land your dream job or wonderfully improve the job you have. Not too shabby! You can change your name to Smarticus.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
The Sun is still opposite your sign, which means you will need more sleep. Factoid. Go to bed. But it also means that you can learn more about yourself through your one-to-one encounters with others. You will be more aware of how a relationship does or does not fill your needs. And even how or how not you feel the needs of others? The bottom line is you must be as good for your partner as he or she is for you. Start to make fabulous vacation plans because you're going places in 2018. Lucky Jupiter will bless you with opportunities for fun, parties, sports events, social outings, opportunities in the arts and many enjoyable moments with children. (No matter how much I childproof my house, they still keep getting in!)
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
For most, this is a week of celebration; but you're busting your buns! Whaaat? Fortunately, you enjoy your work and coworkers are supportive. In fact, a work-related romance is a remote possibility. Maybe not so remote. ("I've lost my phone number. Can I have yours?") Despite your focus on work, Mercury will encourage playful moments because Mercury wants to be amused, which means you will enjoy reading, writing and playing games that require mental agility. And Mercury will make you a prankster! This coming year will be the best in over a decade to create a beautiful home for yourself. You can improve your existing home or move. You can make money from real estate. Ka-ching!
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Lucky Virgo! The placement of the Sun right now encourages play, social activities, fun at sports events and enjoyment of the arts, movies and the theatre plus opportunities for love and romance! (Be still my beating heart.) You will enjoy playful times with children. Accept all invitations to party because you are up for it and will enjoy yourself even if you would usually decline this kind of invitation. Meanwhile, this year lucky Jupiter will boost your optimism and your belief in yourself, which is hugely empowering! You won't hesitate or be self-critical. You'll find it easy to think like a winner. Hey, that's half the battle!
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Your focus on home, family and your private life is strong, which is not surprising considering the time of year and your love of socializing. You will redecorate and yet, you will also enjoy quiet hours at home because Venus is in the part of your chart that is all about home and family. This certainly promotes closeness and warmth with family members. (They might even lend you money.) Actually, you don't have money worries right now. Not really. Lucky moneybags Jupiter will be in your House of Earnings and Wealth for 2018! Get ready to boost your cash, influx of money and earnings, as well as increase your wealth and your assets. You'll be able to stare off into the distance while pumping gas.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Life is hairy crazy right now because of this fast pace! Fortunately, Venus makes all your encounters with others very pleasant, especially conversations with siblings and relatives. Fortunately, with Mars in your sign, you have the energy to deal with whatever you have to face. Mars helps you to work hard and it makes you much more of a fighter for your rights than usual. It boosts your physical energy level and makes you feel independent! And of course, you have so much to look forward to because this year, lucky Jupiter is in your sign! (This won't happen again until 2030.) Take a moment to alphabetize your blessings. 2018 will be a fortunate year for you - no question!
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
You're focused on money, which is not unusual because you always have your eye on the prize. You are future oriented and like to know what assets and resources you have. You might want to show off something this week because many of you have made exciting purchases. This year your ruler Jupiter will be in your 12th house which gives you a chance to learn a great deal about the spiritual dimensions of your life. You will be kind to yourself and forgiving. Likewise, you will have greater empathy for others. This will suit you perfectly because you are the philosopher of the zodiac. (There are no Cole's notes for the discovery of truth.)
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
With the Sun still in your sign, you are energized, and in the swirl of things because you attract people and favourable situations to you. This is great week to shop for wardrobe treasures - trust me. Many of you will need new clothes to define your "new look." Meanwhile, lucky Jupiter promises a popular year ahead! Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
