As I write this, many are concerned about hurricanes, forest fires and harmful smoke in the air, not to mention the serious challenges elsewhere in the world. Fortunately, this week we have a strong concentration of Virgo energy and Virgo is all about wellness, service to others and trying to improve things. This celestial influence could not come at a better time! The Sun, Mercury and Mars are all in Virgo motivating us to safeguard our environment, safeguard our immediate surroundings and safeguard our health. Each sign will react differently. Read below to see how you can best use this energy. Personally, I am stopping my daily tightrope walking in the smoky outdoors despite family complaints about the rope across the living room.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Even though Venus wants you to party, enjoy sports events, delight in romance and grab a vacation -- the Sun, Mercury and Mars in Virgo are sending you a different message. This Virgo energy urges you to work hard and be as efficient and productive as possible. You want to strive to make every action count. Mercury encourages mental work because you will be attentive to details. In addition, you easily get along with coworkers. Admittedly, Mars will help you work hard and take pride in your work, but it also discourages the team-player aspect because Mars makes you want the credit for your efforts. Oh well -- you're hustling! And you want to improve your health!
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
All this Virgo energy for your sign is actually marvelous! For starters, both Virgo and Taurus are Earth signs so this energy is copacetic and supportive. Furthermore, the Sun, Mercury and Mars actually make you want to party till dawn! Social diversions, sports events, vacations and fun escapes entice you despite the obligations you face. (And hey, your sex drive is strong and why be into self-denial?) You also want to entertain at home as well as focus on redecorating. Nevertheless, this same energy can help you work with children in a supportive, educational way. Therefore, enjoy your week, which is so promising in terms of fun and good times -- and do good where you can.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
All this Virgo energy puts your focus on home, family and your private life. You want to cocoon at home among familiar surroundings. You will want to withdraw a bit. You might also be more involved with a parent or home repairs. Ironically, despite your desire for privacy, peace and quiet, there is all this increased chaos, activity and insanity at home! (Whaaat?) You might find yourself fighting about something you don't even understand. (Right now is not an easy time to be living with a parent.) Fortunately, Venus will help you because it will soften your words in all your daily relationships. In fact, you can make money with your words! Ka-ching!
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Suddenly, your life is a revolving door! The good news is you are clear about you want and direct about expressing it. (In fact, you might be too direct. Caution about offending others.) Nevertheless, let clear communications be your goal. Now is the time to tell someone how you feel about things because mentally, you are focused. Please note: This is not the week to relax. Accept your accelerated pace due to short trips, conversations with siblings and relatives and life zipping along at a fast tempo. (Gasp!) Mars makes you argumentative, so easy does it. (Anger serves no purpose other than making everyone miserable.) Enjoy shopping for beautiful treasures for yourself and loved ones.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
I kid about you being the last of the big-time spenders, and this is true; but you can definitely save when you are motivated. This week you're motivated. You're wondering about how much money you have and what you want to do with it. You need to know what's important, especially with your possessions. Does what you own help or hinder? Is your stuff an asset or a pain in the neck? Obviously, you want to make your assets work for you. Hey, they should make your life easier! Meanwhile, Venus makes you sociable, charming, diplomatic and eager to spend money on your wardrobe. Ha! ("He was strong and compassionate and he really knew how to accessorize.")
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
All this Virgo planetary energy helps you to make an excellent impression on others because you're in a take-charge mode and you want to get things done. People are impressed with your energy and drive! Plus you are an effective communicator because you are putting a lot of yourself into whatever you have to say, which is why others will sit up and listen! Mars in your sign means there is lots of activity going on and you're working hard; but it also means that you have a chance to show the world what you can do. Yes! Amidst all this high-charged energy -- take some time just for you. Steal a private moment to regenerate. Take care of yourself.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
While world is swirling with energy all around you, and even though you are the most social sign of the zodiac, this week you want solace and privacy in beautiful surroundings. (Let us not forget that harmony in your environment is a survival issue for you.) Therefore, don't be surprised if you withdraw from the busy insanity going on around you. It's your way of coping and staying alive. Actually, all this Virgo energy will help you do successful research as well as work alone or behind the scenes. Naturally, you're not going to "get thee to a nunnery". Your ruler Venus will entice you to party and schmooze with friends and groups. Romance will be particularly warm and friendly. Sweet!
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
You are a powerful, focused, motivated person. This week, you will take charge of any group situation. You will rally your forces and set them marching! You might be involved in volunteer work or any collective activity where you want to make a difference. Admittedly, you might feel competitive with someone. Why not look for a balance between your own goals and the goals of others and see what you can fit together? Can you turn this into a win/win situation? If you can find people you like to work with -- you will be productive! This is a strong week for physical activity with friends and groups. Meanwhile, bosses admire you. In fact, some of you might strike up a romance. (Hmmm, tricky.)
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
This is a powerful time for you because this cluster of planets in Virgo is at high noon in your chart, which means authority figures are impressed with you. (And they are!) There is one tiny qualifier, however. Because Mars ignites and arouses your ambition, you might come on so strong you are a threat to someone, especially a supervisor or a boss or even a coworker. Easy does it. Remember what your objective is. You actually have the advantage and the upper hand right now so don't do anything that tarnishes your reputation or blows it. Why lose this advantage? Meanwhile, travel for pleasure beckons, which is hardly surprising. But truly, Venus wants you to blow town and expand your horizons.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Many of you have global concerns. You're looking at the big picture. Ideally, you want to travel and get away. You want to expand your experience of life. Some will expand your world through study, learning and talking to people from other cultures and different countries. Or you might explore opportunities in publishing, the media, medicine and the law. Whatever the case -- you want to push the sides of the envelope this week. Because your concerns are beyond your little world, you might get caught up in arguments about politics and religion. Avoid this if you can. Fortunately, romantic relationships are sweet and cozy. Plus, you can benefit from the wealth and resources of others by receiving favours, gifts, goodies and money! Money? Yes!
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
For various reasons, you are intense about things this week. This could be because of a romantic relationship or a dispute about the division of labour or a glitch about shared expenses. You might even lock horns with someone about an inheritance or how to deal with some shared property. It's unavoidable. But you do have a choice of how you handle the situation. If you use skillful means, you won't have regrets, later. (And Lord knows you are an intelligent sign.) Furthermore, Venus is opposite your sign and this favours communications with others. Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
This gaggle of planets in Virgo are all 180 -- opposite your sign! For starters, this makes you focus on friendships and close relationships.
