The planet Mercury is symbolic of our daily communications and actions. It gives us information about how we talk, think and listen. It has astrological rulership over anything that goes from A to B: all forms of ground transportation plus packages, parcels, the mail, words and ideas. It has been retrograde since April 9; however, this week, its retrograde motion stops. CLANK! Usually Mercury zips along at about two degrees a day; but for this entire week -- Mercury will hover at 24 degrees. ("What is that sound? The Lost Chord?") This is why we will all feel a bit hung up, frozen in time or at a standstill. There's even a strong possibility that people will experience moments of vuja de - (that's where you have an ever so faint recollection of something that never happened).
Aries (March 21-April 19)
If you read All Signs above, it will be interesting to know that when Mercury hovers at 24 degrees throughout this coming week, it will be doing so in your sign! (Let's hope you can get your pants on both legs.) Actually, it will be a bit like being in a hallway. In other words, you're not in one room or the other - you're in between. Sometimes this is a good place to ponder where you have been and where you are going. Although there might be an element of paralysis; there will also be an element of clarity because any situation that you are in will give you pause. (Little furry ones.) Mars will ensure that all your communications are forceful, vigourous and to the point. A powerful combo, indeed!
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
This will be a strong week for you because the Sun in your sign will embolden you to go after what you want. You are empowered! In particular, you feel empowered financially. You have ideas about how you want to earn money and many are taking major purchases as well. The influence of Mercury staying at 24 degrees for the entire week is taking place in a hidden part of your chart. Therefore, this week you will do a lot of soul-searching and self contemplation. Things are going well at work; and your health is strong. What's in the future? Should you wait or act? You should probably wait until Saturn goes into Capricorn at the end of this year because it will make you strong and bring support from others.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Although in one way, you want to relax and hide this week because you need to catch your breath; in another way, with fiery Mars in your sign, you are out there flying your colours whether you want to or not. When your ruler Mercury hovers at 24 degrees this week, it will impact your relationships with friends and groups. You might have a meaningful exchange with a friend. Your relationship with a group might undergo a moment of culmination where you have to decide whether to stay or go. Or perhaps you need to decide how much responsibility you want to take on. Cancer (June 21-July 22)
This is a social week, which means you will enjoy schmoozing with others. However, the phenomenon of the planet Mercury hovering at 24 degrees for the entire week will affect your relationship with bosses, parents and VIPs. Something might come to a head this week. You might have to make an important decision. You might have to choose to work for a person or work with them or disagree with them. Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
You will continue to be high viz. this week because the Sun is at the top of your chart and this is the only time all year this occurs. This means people in authority notice you and they admire you. This week you might ponder future possibilities about further education, publishing, the media, medicine or the law. Should you explore them? Should you ignore them? Likewise, travel plans appeal - and yet, are they feasible and affordable? It's tough to live on a beer wallet when you have champagne tastes. Ain't it the truth?
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
It's totally appropriate for you to focus on ways to boost your income because you can do this during this week or this month or this year. Bring it on! (Yes, you'll be laughing all the way to the bank.) However, this week in particular, it will behoove you to focus on taxes, debt, shared property, inheritances and insurance issues because your financial involvement with others requires your attention. It doesn't mean you have to do anything per se. But it does mean you have to know what's going on. Don't be in the dark about anything. Information is power, especially when it comes to your money.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
As indicated in All Signs above, the planet Mercury, which usually clips along at about 2 degrees a day is going to hover at 24 degrees for the entire week. This will take place in Aries, which is 180 degrees opposite your sign, which means that your focus on partners and close friends will be stronger than usual right now. Quite likely, you will have clarity about what is going on in the relationship, as well as what it is that you would like to be going on in the relationship. Generally when you want a quality to arise in a relationship - you have to initially embody. If you want there to be more laughter - start laughing. If you want there to be more love - start loving.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
This week the Sun is opposite your sign, which means your energy is flagging a bit. In turn, this means you will need to get more sleep. Respect this. Nevertheless, life does not stop just because you are tired, does it? Disputes about shared property, taxes, debt and inheritances continue. Grrrr. What is most curious is that something unusual might take place at work. Important issues might feel like they are on hold. You're waiting for news. You're waiting for the other shoe to drop. You're waiting for the cheque to arrive in the mail. Could be anything. My money is on something favourable for you.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
With fiery Mars opposite your sign this week, you simply have to be patient with others even though they are annoying. What is the alternative? A fistfight? Anything that gets you embroiled with someone else puts you in an unpleasant situation, and why would you want to be there? Therefore, demonstrate grace under pressure. Be patient because you are only doing yourself a favour. Meanwhile, romance is in a curious place right now. It might falter or by contrast, it might surge ahead. Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
My, my, your play time continues this week so plan on having lots of fun! In fact, this is the perfect week for a vacation. If you're not on vacation then make a point to arrange lunches, dinners, theatre dates and sports events so that you have a chance to have a great time! The one area that will be a bit more curious is anything to do with home and family. Something here will feel like it is being put on hold. You might have discussions but they are not resolved. You might begin home repairs and then feel confused about how far to take things. You do want to redecorate now - that's a fact. In a week, things will be clearer to you.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
This week you will continue to focus on home, family and your private life. Quite likely, an interaction with a parent will be significant. You will also be active with kids, especially competitive sports or any kind of competition and physical activity. Nevertheless, regardless of what is going on, privately you feel mentally thoughtful and reflective. For different reasons, you are thinking about bigger issues in life and how much you should consider them or not. Generally, when we are caught up in our day-to-day events, we don't think about that much. Not really. But sometimes, something provokes it. This week is one of those times.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
Your busy pace continues because you have places to go, things to do and people to see! Yada, yada, yada. Not only that, your home and family life is chaotic and super demanding this week. You can't ignore anything. But the big news seems to be related to your earnings and your cash flow. This is where you have true question marks. Is something going to happen to boost your earnings? Is something going to happen to reduce them? Issues at play that are beyond your control seem to hold you in financial limbo right now. Well, when it comes to finances, I'm not sure limbo is a word - perhaps hostage? Aaagghhh. And so it goes. Personally this is an excellent week for writers, actors, teachers and salespeople.
