Mercury goes retrograde three times a year. It has domain over cars, trucks bikes; parcels, deliveries and the mail; social media and communications; all interactions plus word-related hardware like phones, computers and printers. In April, we can all expect transportation delays, missed buses and car breakdowns. Mail will be late; daily items like keys and papers will be misplaced. Communications will be confused and people from the past will pop up. "Boris?" "Natasha!" Mercury retrogrades are great times to finish things, study the past, do research and reflect; but they are poor times to open a business, begin new projects or buy cars, trucks bikes, printers, computers or phones. Avoid these purchases from April 1 - May 21. These are the hard facts. Oy vey.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
As mentioned before, this is the year - the best in over a decade - for you to improve your partnerships (both married and professional) as well as your closest friendships. This has been an ongoing opportunity this year but now, with a strong connection to Pluto, the planet Jupiter is really urging you to examine all aspects of these relationships. You want to see what is right about them and what is wrong about them. You want to stand up for what you believe; and what you want because you want the relationship to work for you. Naturally, this can lead to conflict when ironically, what you most want is to improve your partnership. Meanwhile, because Mercury will go retrograde in your sign, get ready for a month of silly errors and mixed-up communications. Fasten your seatbelt!
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Mercury retrograde creates frustration with silly mistakes, delays and transportation breakdowns. Generally, the problems of Mercury retrograde are not huge but they are annoying! You are the one sign however, that can really benefit from this particular Mercury retrograde because it will help you to research anything and discover answers from the past. If you need to study history or discover solutions to old problems, Mercury retrograde will actually help you. Meanwhile, right now more than ever, you are so keen to improve your health as well as to improve your job or find a better job. This has been growing for some months but now it is culminating with a very strong focus on your part. Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Some years relationships are relatively easy; some years they are impossible. Cancer (June 21-July 22)
More than ever, you feel compelled and motivated to create a better home for yourself. This feeling has been building for a long time but now it is super strong. At the very least, you are looking around where you live because you want to repair whatever is broken. This is because you really want to restore or rebuild things. Quite likely, this will be to your physical property. Some of you will want to leave where you live to find a better place because you are determined to create a better home for yourself. At a more subtle level, you might even want to repair relationships within your family dynamic. An ambitious, commendable plan!
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Because you are dramatic, many do not realize how serious you are. But you are. Nevertheless, you have the ability to inspire others. And you know you can do this. But the key to being able to inspire and energize people is you have to have a positive belief in your future and your daily world. Right now you are giving this a lot of thought. You want to be the best that you can be. This is why you are studying more and have more ambitious plans regarding writing and interacting with everyone. Suggestion: Instead of trying for perfection - focus on your progress. Focus on achieving what you need to achieve - one day at a time. Do not be overwhelmed by the enormity of a task (because you do have big ambitions). Remember: One day at a time.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Although this particular Mercury retrograde might cause travel delays, it will help you study and research, especially the study of history. It will also help you to finish writing a paper or a book. Meanwhile, your hopes to earn more money this year are beginning to manifest. In fact, your ambitions to boost your earnings are stronger than they have been for a long time! Some of you are mentally starting to spend the money. A new car? A new apartment? A new life? Basically, you want to use your assets, your wealth, your earnings and everything that you own to create the best life for yourself that you can possibly do. Of course, we all want to do this all of the time - but right now you are stoked to do this!
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Because Jupiter represents magnification along with attraction, especially of good things, including desserts - some of you will be struggling with weight gain this year while Jupiter is in your sign. Right now, as Jupiter is at odds with Pluto, you will feel a greater than ever motivation to improve your body in every sense of the word. Not only do you want to buff your bod so that it is more attractive, especially with summer at hand (the painful litmus test when you can no longer hide under a winter coat); but also you want to feel that you are healthier. You might start to explore vitamin supplements, a new diet regime, or anything that will repair your body and rejuvenate and restore it. The last time you were on a serious kick like this was in 2005.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
This Mercury retrograde will hit you where you work, which is why you have to cut yourself and others some slack. Expect mixed-up communications, missed appointments, lost paperwork plus the aggravation of problems with computers, printers, cell phones and other equipment breakdowns. Just remind yourself that these glitches are frustrating but they are not monumental. You can always handle whatever Mercury retrograde throws at you. Meanwhile, personally, you are doing some heavy soul-searching. It's private but it's very real. The truth is to learn a lot about yourself right now because you're willing to look. And because you have this courage, it will be extremely helpful if you can find a guide or a teacher or a support to help you. We all need teachers.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Very soon, old flames will be back in your life. Sometimes this is exciting; sometimes not so much. Likewise, some of you might have more contact with your kids than before. This might or might not be the reason that you are very goal oriented right now. More than ever, you are involved with your friends and with groups, clubs and organizations because there's something important you want to achieve. The bar is high. But this is a good thing because you are idealistic and you need positive goals to make your life meaningful. The key is to make sure that as you improve your life, whatever you do improves the lives of others as well. This is will really turn your crank and be gratifying. It gives meaning to your life and this is what you want.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
