All Signs
On Monday the Sun changes signs. The Sun changes signs 12 times a year, and each time it does, each of us feels a shift. For some of us, it is a feeling that occurs within -- more emotional or psychological. For others, it manifests as a shift in how we relate to everyone around us; and for yet others, it feels like an external influence or even an event. None of this is surprising when you consider the Sun is the energy source of our solar system. Read your sign to discover what change will take place for you in the next four weeks. We all know that change is inevitable; but don't you think the best change is finding a handful of toonies in the sofa? Yeah, yeah; money is the root of all evil, but we all need roots!
Aries (March 21-April 19)
I think the most powerful placement of the Sun is the four weeks during which it is in your own sign; and this is happening for you dear Aries. For starters, it gives you a chance to replenish and restore yourself for the rest of the year. It will definitely cause you to focus more on your own world and your own needs more than the external world. Don't worry. You're not being self-centred or selfish; this is your chance to look at yourself and discover what you need. Another influence will be that you will project yourself more forcefully onto the world around you. You'll be PowerPoint on steroids! Actually, this is a good thing because you will be confident, focused and purposeful, which means you can accomplish a lot. Admittedly, you might come on too strong for others. Keep this in mind if you see the hair blowing back over their ears.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
By sharp contrast to what is going on with Aries, for the next four weeks, the Sun will be hiding in your chart. It's as if it is offstage - in the wings, waiting to make its entrance in four weeks when your birthday month arrives. This is an excellent time for you to get in touch with your unconscious impulses and tendencies. After all, there is the "public" you and the "private" you. If your public and private you are too far apart, this is confusing for you and others. Since your personal year is coming to an end, now is the time to give yourself a report card. How are you doing at the art of living? How do you want your new year (birthday to birthday) to be different than this last year? The next four weeks are the perfect time to define some goals with deadlines. Deadlines - that's the kicker. They keep you honest.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
For the next four weeks, the Sun will invigorate the part of your chart that deals with friends and groups, which is why you will be much more social than usual. In fact, many of you might join clubs and associations. Friendships will play a more important role in your life. Jump on the bandwagon and socialize! Be friendly. Attend meetings. (If you're in the room, they can't talk about you.) Establish who you really are with your friends. Because your idealism will also be aroused in the next four weeks, this is a good time to think about your hopes and dreams for the future. In fact, share your ideas with others to get their feedback because their feedback will help. "What? You want a pony and you want to be a ballerina? Get real, you're 50! "
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
This is the only time all year when the Sun is at the very top of your chart. This influence will last for four weeks. It's a very cool influence because it symbolizes that almost magically, you are high viz. with bosses, parents, teachers and VIPs. And more than that, you look attractive to them! Don't question this. Just smile and take a bow. Take all the credit. And if you are asked to take on increased responsibilities or a promotion - accept! You will dazzle them. This is the power of the Sun. However, don't fake something. Don't pretend that you are anything that you are not. Just go with the flow because people are impressed with who you actually are. This high placement of the Sun also means you might have to deal with a parent more than usual. It makes you think more about your life direction.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
This particular shift of the Sun makes you want to travel. You are keen to expand your world. You will truly enjoy studying and learning something new. You want unfamiliar experiences and a chance to talk to people from different backgrounds. You might want to take up a new hobby or learn a new language. Basically, you want to push the envelope so you can grab more out of life. Many of you will explore religious, metaphysical and spiritual disciplines because you're hungry to learn. A few of you might be involved with the law because this part of your chart where the Sun is relates to the law as well as medicine. Your desire to learn and study is not just based on curiosity. It's because you will find the process of studying and learning to be satisfying. I think it was Julius Caesar who said, "Vini, vidi, velcro." ("We came, we saw, we stuck around.")
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
For the next four weeks, the Sun will be in one of the most intense, powerful parts of your chart, which in turn means you will feel intense and powerful. You will definitely feel this intensity in your sex life. But you will also feel just as intense about shared property, inheritances, wills, taxes, debt and anything to do with how your wealth impacts others or how their wealth impacts your life. But everything will be favourable to you. You will find it easy to get things from others. People will give you things - cash or gifts. Naturally, this period of time will be perfect to ask for a loan or a mortgage or to get the keys to your parent's car or someone's condo in Whistler. Try it! You'll be surprised at how easy the world will open up to you. Quite likely, you will come face-to-face with someone else's values that might not agree with yours. (A challenge you could do without.)
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
The only time all year that the Sun is directly opposite your sign begins now. It will last for four weeks. Because the Sun is your source of energy (symbolically in your chart) this means that your energy will be flagging because the Sun is now as far away from you as it gets all year. Therefore, you will need more sleep. Be kind to yourself and get more rest. In addition, this oppositional placement of the Sun will make you study your closest relationships more deeply. Your friendships and partnerships. You will wonder how much these relationships fulfil your needs and wants. But what about the flip? How well do you fulfil their needs and wants? This four-week window of time is an especially good time to consult experts, counsellors, astrologers and good friends for meaningful feedback. (Good friends are cheaper.)
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
You will be energized in the next four weeks because the Sun is in a sign that is very similar to your sign. In fact, until Pluto was discovered in 1930, Mars was the ruler of both Aries and Scorpio. (No one really messes with either one of you - not if they're smart.) That's why you will have abundant energy in the next four weeks to accomplish a lot. You want to be productive! You want to be efficient! You want to be effective in everything you do - at work, at play and on a daily basis with your physical activities and health. What is certain, you will have to work according to the needs and wishes of others because you have to offer service to others. This doesn't mean you have to be a doormat. You are never a doormat. It simply means that you will have to meet some obligations. No biggie.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
It's going to be fun city for your sign for the next four weeks because the Sun will be in a part of your chart that urges you to party, have a good time and socialize with others. In particular, you will want chances to express your creative talents. At the very least, you will enjoy musical performances, the theatre, movies, the arts and certainly sports events. You will also enjoy playful activities with children and you might focus more on your relationship with kids. Naturally, one of the things associated with fun and socializing is romance! Relationships should be fun in the next four weeks. New love might begin. It's time to kick up your heels and just be who you are.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
The Sun will be sitting at the bottom of your chart for the next four weeks, which means you will be more concerned with your private life, your home, your family and your inner world. This is why many of you will choose to be by yourself or cocoon at home. It doesn't mean you're being antisocial. Au contraire. You simply want time to reflect and time to relax in familiar surroundings. Many of you will take on redecorating projects. Family discussions will become more important. You might also tackle home repairs. This is because you will do whatever you can to create a solid base for yourself in your world. George Burns said, "Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family in another city."
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
You will hit the pavement running this week because you are entering a four week period when you will be on the go with an accelerating daily pace. Oh yeah. This is because you have a busy agenda. Suddenly, you have appointments, meetings, errands plus increased reading, writing and studying. On top of this, you will take short trips and have to devote more time to siblings, relatives and neighbours. Yes - you're overbooked! But actually, you will like the pace because it feels right. Ironically, it's also a good time to take a vacation if you can fit this in. Conversations with others will be lively and meaningful because you intend to speak your mind. Busy you! Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
"Show me the money!" For different reasons, you are focused on money, cash flow, earnings and how to attract money into your life in the next four weeks. Naturally, you want to attract money into your life for longer than four weeks - but in the next four weeks, your focus on how to do this will be major. Trust your moneymaking ideas. After all, you are motivated now, which means you are gearing up to this whole mental process of wondering about your earnings, and even your values in life. Fair Venus will attract moneymaking situations to you. Sweet! You will also spend money on beautiful things for yourself. In fact, this is the classic time to show something off that you bought or that you own. The bottom line is you want to have greater control over your life through your assets and your earnings.
