The planet Saturn takes about 30 years to travel through all 12 signs. (It stays in each sign for about 2 1/2 years.) Wherever it lines up in your chart - it makes a difference because Saturn affects us in a bricks and mortar, name-on-a-legal-document way. The real deal. When you write about Saturn it's no puff piece. Saturn was in Sagittarius from 1957 - 1958; and from 1986 to the end of 1988; and now from 2015 until the end of this year. Aries (March 21-April 19)
Saturn is now slowly approaching the top of your chart. It will get there in 2018-19. This means last year and this year are a time of preparation for you because you're getting ready for big things that will happen - but they have not happened yet. That's why you need to know this is a time of preparation. Any kind of schooling, training or travel or any experience that gets you more performance ready for the next few years is what you need to do in your life right now. That's because in 2018-19, you will be on a roll! That will be your time of harvest when all the seeds you have planted in the last 14 years will come to fruition. Good or bad.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Ever since 2015, Saturn has been in one of your Money Houses --the House of the wealth and resources of others (shared property, inheritances, taxes, debt and insurance matters). Nothing to do with your earnings. Since Saturn is the Great Teacher, this means you have to learn something about how you work with others, especially financially. You have to learn how to hold up your end of the bargain. You have to come to terms with other people's values. Often this means that the resources of others will be cut off from you. Yikes! This is boot camp. The bottom line is to learn the limits of your own resources and respect how much you have to cooperate with others.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
When Saturn is in Sagittarius, it's tough for partnerships and close friendships. This is because from 2001 until 2015, you were figuring out who you were and where you would live and what you would do until finally, you were confident because let's face it, you now had all that experience under your belt. That's why in the last year or so, you have been cocky! You're ready to deal with your external world in a positive way. But this new you is difficult for others to accept. You've changed! That's why you're having difficulty with partners and close friends. Of course, regardless of what they say - you're not going back to who you were. Oh no. The new you is here to stay.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Saturn in Sagittarius for your sign means you have to work hard! Not just digging a hole for the sake of labour. Not at all. In fact, your effectiveness as a human being is being tested. Whatever you do (last year and this year) will make a difference for what happens to you in 2018-19. That's when you will make your debut! After years of working "under the table" since 2003, suddenly, in the next two years, you are going to jump on top of the table and start to tap dance. "Look at me!" So this hard work will definitely pay off. Meanwhile, treat your body like a tool and take care of it. You want to get in shape for your big debut.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
When Saturn is in Sagittarius, it's good for Leos. Why? Because Sagittarius is a Fire Sign and Leo is a Fire Sign, which means Saturn is working in harmony with your Sun. That's why life seems to run smoothly. You can take advantage of this and accomplish a lot! Now is the time to lay the framework for something because the universe will cooperate with you. It's an excellent time to rebuild your body, especially your skeleton and teeth. You will win recognition for your achievements. A love affair with someone older might take place. You might be less inclined to spend money on vacations because you feel you should be more disciplined. Yes, you.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
When Saturn is in Sagittarius you have to repair where you live because you want a home you can rely on. You want your home to be an anchor that serves your needs. This is why some of you will do home repairs and some will even make a residential move. Many of you might feel the burden of dealing with a parent. At a more subtle level, this is a good time to explore some of your values because you will no longer want to "put up with" things. You want to move beyond that. Basically, you are setting your house in order so that you can go forward and be free to go after external goals.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
This journey of Saturn means you might have to change jobs or residences or both. Something in your daily milieu will change because ever since 2010, you have been reinventing yourself; and this process will be finished by 2018-19. The finishing touches are now about your style of communicating and your way of looking at the world around you. Therefore, life will give you a different view - literally. A different kitchen, a different bathroom, a different office, a different store - a different workplace. Whatever is different will help you to "wake up"and hone the most subtle qualities in your mind. Fascinating, isn't it?
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
It's a money crunch for you when Saturn is in Sagittarius. What's going on is your values are being tested. You are being forced to become more aware of what you really value in life. It is doubtful that Saturn will take away anything you really value. But it will remove material wealth that is keeping you from discovering what it is you do value. Your best bet is to organize your finances as well as possible and stay on top of your money scene, especially in terms of paperwork. Don't let it strangle you. You're the one in charge. It's only for a little while longer that you have to feel you are dial-up in a world of broadband.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Saturn is back in your sign, just like in 1986-88 and also 1957-58. These dates had to have some meaning for you because it's never a frivolous thing when Saturn is in your own sign. The bottom line is you are beginning an entirely new path. You are setting out on a new adventure whether you want to or not. Quite often the new path is so radically different from what you were previously doing that it necessitates a change in your daily wardrobe. Just go with the flow because this process of redefining who you are will not be over until 2023. You know what they say about the comfort zone - it's great but rarely do things grow there.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
When Saturn is in Sagittarius you have to get rid of what is no longer relevant in your life. This means you go through cupboards, closets, lockers and garages and begin to sell, give away, recycle and turf whatever you no longer want or need. And for some, it's a bit more dramatic. You give up people, relationships, partnerships and lovers. And some of you will give up jobs; and some of you will give up countries. But you are most definitely in a time when you are lightening your load so that you can enter a whole new world around 2018-19. Say goodbye to anything that is weighing you down and holding you back.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
You are in the curious position of suffering from your own success. Because many of you have felt proud of your achievements in the last five years, you are in a situation where you feel you have to give a lot to others. You have to deliver. You have to perform. But where are you in all this successful hoopla? This stage of Saturn wants you to learn to take time for yourself. You don't have to give up your responsibilities. You don't have to shortchange the expectations of others. But you do have to put yourself back in the picture because you count, too. Learn to please yourself.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
At this time, Saturn is now at the very top of your chart indicating that you are in a time of harvest. What this really means is that you see clearly what is working in your life and what is not. Many things are successes. It might be a time of graduation. It might be a time of marriage or promotion or a chance to be self-employed - something special. But it might also be a time where you see that you tried something and it failed. It certainly is a time of serious responsibilities; and traditionally it's a rewarding time. Focus on your wins now - not your losses. It's time to think of your life direction and where you want to go.
