All Signs
Astrology makes interpretations from the cycles of planets. Symbolically speaking, Neptune represents perfection - the ideal. But perfection is unattainable in our mortal world. Saturn, on the other hand, represents the nuts and bolts of life - that which is real, measurable and finite. Ouch! These two planets can't be in the same room! It's like, "If you're so smart way why ain't you rich?" As these two planets square off this week, we will all feel our lives fall short of the ideal. Feelings of self doubt will surface because these planets are at mathematical odds. Small consolation: "The older I get the greater I was."
Aries (March 21-April 19)
You're on the go with short trips, errands, a jam-packed schedule, conversations with everyone plus increased reading, writing and studying. And yes, you continue to have marvellous opportunities to improve your job or get a better job. However, this week you might feel haunted by religious doubts, political doubts or doubts about your education. Even something to do with the law and medicine might make you wary. You might be testing your beliefs in something; which is good because it is wise to test ideas rather than accept them blindly. Don't be hard on yourself. Let's face it - your high school class is running the country!
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Money, earnings and your possessions are your primary focus now. Relations with partners and close friends might be tough because Mars is opposite your sign until August. Fortunately, you have fabulous opportunities for vacations, parties, sports events and playful times with children. You have a great, fun-filled summer ahead of you! Nevertheless, you have worries about debt or collecting your fair share of something, or the fact that you can't depend on others to come through with their financial promises. You might even doubt the ideals of a particular group to which you belong. These doubts will not last.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
You continue to be empowered by the Sun in your sign; and Venus stays in Gemini until Friday. It's always a good idea to buy wardrobe items while Venus is in your sign. Venus will not return to Gemini until a year from now so do some fun shopping before Friday! Meanwhile, Neptune is at the top of your chart squaring off with Saturn, which is opposite you. This makes you question your friendships and even your spouse or partner. You might wonder if these people are worth your time? Almost certainly, you're disappointed with someone. (It's probably a two-way street, ya think?) Don't act on these feelings because they will subside.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
You have been optimistic lately. (Thank you Jupiter.) And you have a lot of energy for playful activities, sports and entertaining diversions. And hopefully, you are setting goals for your new year ahead (birthday to birthday). However, when it comes to your daily tasks and your job - and possibly even your health - you have doubts. Things are not unfolding as you hoped they might. Keep in mind that no job is perfect. We work to pay the bills in addition to working for joy and fulfillment. But paying the bills is number one. If you're doing this - you're doing great. And of course, things could be better - but things can always be better because there is no end to better!
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
This is a popular time for you! Admittedly, it's fun to enjoy friends, but you can only spread yourself so far. ("I'm melting!") Your home scene a bit hectic due to redecorating, moving or visiting guests. But you can handle this because you always do. What is truly challenging are the niggling worries you have about your kids or grandkids. Maybe their dreams are stalled in the water? Or maybe it is your dreams for them that are challenged? Likewise, romantic relationships might disappoint. What if your expectations are unrealistic? That is a sure guarantee for disappointment. Something to think about?
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
You continue to be high viz. because the Sun at the top of your chart is shining a flattering light on you, which means you can use this to your advantage. In other words, make your pitch to the boss! People will be receptive. Not only do you look good in the eyes of others, Mars guarantees that your communications are forthright and persuasive. Yes, others are listening! So far so good. And here is the proverbial "but". With Saturn and Neptune at cross purposes this week, you feel disillusioned with your situation at home or within the family. Quite likely, things are turning out the way you envisioned they would be. You might feel disappointed. But trust the fact that lucky Jupiter is in your sign giving you divine protection as you navigate these rocky rapids. It's all okay.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Travel and adventure continue to entice you. You want to be somewhere else having fun! Obviously, if you can travel for pleasure, by all means, do so. You can also travel through books, film and engaging conversations with others to help you explore exciting ideas. The bottom line is you're hungry for new knowledge and new experiences. And you're not afraid to spend money right now, even if you don't have it! (Veni, vidi, Visa; We came, we saw, we went shopping.) Your main problem this week is falling prey to negative thinking. It's the Eyore thang. ("It will probably rain.") The paralysis of the negative means you are paralyzed by negative thoughts. Focus on what you do achieve - every day. Life is demanding!.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Money is on your mind. You have concerns about debt, shared property, inheritances, insurance issues and taxes. And naturally, you have similar concerns about how much money you generate for yourself. Money in - money out. Always the challenging balance. But at a subtle level, we often equate our self-worth with our wealth and assets. This is fallacious. Think of someone as wonderful as Mahatma Gandhi, who in his early life did have wealth, when he worked as a lawyer; but when he brought about great changes in society - he was penniless. Your true value is not in what you own. It's who you are.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Remember to get more sleep this week because you need it. There is also a lot going on behind the scenes. Fortunately, your reputation in the eyes of others looks solid. People admire you, even if you wonder why. (Ha!) Therefore, keep these self-doubts to yourself. Don't worry about the uncertainty, confusion and fears that you have because they are temporary. Admittedly, your confidence is not robust this week because you know that you are not living up to your ideals. Sure this is discouraging. But who does live up to their ideals? Do you know this person? When Saturn and Neptune are at odds with each other, it can even impact your health. Take good care of yourself right now. This is a temporary challenge.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
For the most part, things are solid. You're working hard because you want to get better organized. And you're willing to put out the effort, which is excellent. You also want to travel and explore more of the world if you can, which would be a good idea if you can swing this during the summer. You won't regret going anywhere! But down deep, you secretly feel inadequate right now. You might doubt your choices and wonder why you're doing what you're doing. Once you start to doubt yourself and feel insecure, it's a vicious spiral downward. The truth is it's totally appropriate now that you downsize and give up what is no longer relevant in your life. That's because your view of the world is changing!
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Enjoy this playful time exploring sports, the entertainment world, vacations and playful times with children. Even romance is promising! Basically, life is good. And you are motivated because Mars at the top of your chart arouses your ambition. So you have all this working for you! Nevertheless, nothing is perfect. Your relationship with someone who is older, more experienced or perhaps just an old friend in your life - seems somewhat threatened right now. The main threat is that you might feel disappointed in this person. You admire them less. The magic is gone. But really, if you just give this some time, the odds are, this friendship is as solid as ever and this is just a major speed bump.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
Home, family and your private life are a strong focus now. This is why you are fixing up your digs and enjoying gardening or entertaining at home. And what can be richer than family? In addition, Jupiter now promotes marvellous connections with friends and partners, which is enriching and rewarding. The biggest dark cloud on your horizon is that you question your direction in life. What is your role? How do you want others to see you? One moment you are confident and sure where you're going; and then the next moment, you wonder, "What's it all about Alfie?" Do not let failures discourage you.
