All Signs
Can you believe it? It's Mercury Retrograde! (Whaaat?) Mercury turns retrograde on Jan. 5 to stay until Jan. 26. However, for major purchases like computers, cars and trucks - avoid all of January and wait until Valentine's before you make your purchase. Meanwhile, this week, Mars enters Scorpio where it will stay for eight months! Absurd! (Admittedly, it slips into Sagittarius for two months and then back into Scorpio again.) This puts an insane pressure in one part of everyone's chart. Kinda like a stuck record. Oh well, we all have to deal with this each in our own way. "These are perilous times for the Federation."
Aries (March 21-April 19)
This is a pretty crazy week in a lot of ways. Old friends are back on the scene - that's for sure. Travel for pleasure totally appeals, which means you should grab every chance you get to blow town. Upsets with parents and authority figures are likely midweek. (Try to be part of the solution and not the problem.) And Mars enters the part of your chart that will stimulate your sex drive for most of this year! (I kid you not.) The downside is that disputes about shared property and jointly-held resources are likely. Ouch! Fortunately, for the next few weeks, you look fabulous, especially to bosses, parents and VIPs. That's because the Sun is at the top of your chart casting you in a flattering glow.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
You definitely want to get outta Dodge because you need to get away from all this. Plus adventure calls to you. Therefore, if you can book that cruise - jump on board. Two conflicting influences will affect your close relationships this week. On one hand, fiery Mars starts to oppose your sign, which it will do for most of this year making you easily irritated with others. I hate to say this but it's the truth. Nevertheless, this week, romantic relations are sweet and affectionate. In fact, others will bestow gifts, favours and goodies on you! How lovely! One final warning: Despite your desire to travel, expect some detours, delays and hiccups midweek. (It happens.)
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
This long journey of Mars in one place of your chart is actually good news for your sign. You should be so lucky! It means that for most of this year, you will find it easy to work - and work hard! You will throw your energy into whatever you're doing because you will take pride in what you're doing. Naturally, you want credit for your accomplishments, which means you won't be much of a team player this year. Oh well. This week, expect interruptions and surprises regarding shared property. Make friends with your bank account so you know what's happening. Fortunately, relations with partners and close friends are sweet and charming. Looking swell!
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
At this time, because the Sun is opposite your sign, and the Sun is your source of energy, you will need more sleep. That's just how it works. This is the only time all year this happens and it's only for four weeks, so - go to bed. Actually, you might want to hide under the covers midweek because difficulties with partners and close friends might upset you. Meanwhile, the good news is that this steady pressure from fiery Mars for most of this year will actually be a fun, amusing stimulant for you! It will amp your sex drive and make you keen to pursue parties, amusements and creative outlets. The only downside is it could trigger conflicts with your kids. Oh well, nothing is perfect, especially your kids. (Never raise your hand to them because it exposes your midriff.)
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
You're gung ho to get better organized now because you want to get back on track. The party's over. Let's put the decorations away and clean up the place. That's why increased activity and chaos on the home front are likely because you mean business. In fact, some of you will start renovations and major projects to improve your home. Of course, this will trigger some tension where you live. Consider this an opportunity for you to practice patience this year. Expect interruptions to your work in the midweek. Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Parents should be vigilant this week because from Wednesday onward, this is an accident-prone time for your kids. Remove them from any hazardous situations and keep your eyes open. Likewise, romantic relationships might suddenly break up or hit a speed bump this week. This could be because old flames are back on the same. (Oh dear. Life is getting busy!) Meanwhile, fiery Mars is going to make you unusually assertive in all your communications for most of this year. Yes, the word argumentative will also apply. This is because you will identify strongly with your beliefs. Lighten up about trying to convince others to agree with you. Live and let live.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Small appliances might break down or minor breakages could occur. Be mindful to minimize whatever this interruption is. Part of what might make you accident prone is fiery Mars is in your sign now making you aggressive, all charged up and raring to go! Be careful about knee-jerk reactions. "Do not trifle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup."
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
No matter what happens this week, at least, fair Venus is in your sign making you charming, patient and diplomatic with everyone. In fact, this is an excellent week to buy wardrobe goodies. Trust me. Having said that, something unexpected might impact your finances or cash flow midweek. Keep an eye on your stuff because you might find money or lose money. This can also apply to your possessions. Nevertheless, shopping for wardrobe items is a good idea because people notice you this year. In fact, this is your chance to put your name up in lights so why not grease the wheels a bit?
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
The Sun is in your sign, which is a good thing because it energizes you. It also attracts people to you and favourable circumstances. However midweek, something will make you feel rebellious, impulsive and feisty! You might feel you have to stand up for yourself or defend the rights of others.
