All Signs
This week the planets are doing a celestial gavotte. First Saturn squares off with the Sun, and then curtsies to Venus. Then Mars bows to Saturn, while the Sun pairs off with Neptune. The predominant features are Sun in Pisces, Venus and Mars in Aries, and Mercury, which is no longer retrograde in Aquarius. (But it is still in the shadow, which is why we must wait until March 4 to buy big-ticket items like cars and computers.) And there you have it. It's true that money can't buy friends but it will attract a better class of enemy. Of course, this matters little for those of us whose nest egg has turned into chicken feed.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
This is a pleasant time because both Venus and Mars are in your sign. Mars is the ruler of Aries, and when it is in your own sign, it amplifies your natural qualities of being direct and ready to fight for your rights. You will be bolder about showing the world what you can do, perhaps even brash? Fortunately, fair Venus will temper much of this pent-up energy by softening things and making you charming and diplomatic. This is also the perfect time to buy wardrobe items because you like what you see in the mirror. Legal matters and work related to publishing and higher education will come to a head now. Go for baroque!
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
You might have a Mexican standoff with a friend or a member of a group this week, and it could relate to shared property, inheritances, fundraising, or allocating a specific amount of money for a specific purpose. Whatever the case, you feel blocked. Grrrr. Perhaps a particular dispute will come to a head - could be anything. In all likelihood, you will come out smelling like a rose because this is a popular time for you and people will want to follow your lead. Nevertheless, secret enemies might conspire against you. Speaking of secrets, some of you are also having secret trysts right now. (You ripe, juicy peach.)
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Relations with authority figures (bosses, parents, teachers and the police) will come to a head this week. It is impossible to please everyone, especially authority figures, as well as partners, close friends and members of the general public. Aaggh! Some kind of barrier or restriction is stopping you. Or you might feel that someone requires you to be something you are not, and you resent this. It's tricky. Fortunately, this challenge is brief. It is also quite public. Meanwhile, relations with friends and groups are supportive. Your involvement with the arts or competitive sports will be a source of joy, and hopefully, money.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Someone will seek your advice about design, layout, furniture arrangement, formatting, whatever. Cooperate with this request because you will be successful. Others will defer to you because your ambition is aroused and you're coming on like gangbusters! However, there could be trouble in paradise. You might be blocked in matters related to higher education, publishing, the media, medicine, the law and most especially, travel. This could be work-related, or not. Whatever comes to a head now will be over quickly. Meanwhile, the influence of Venus will soften all these rough edges. "A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down."
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Travel for pleasure will delight you because you long for a change of scenery, especially someplace beautiful and luxurious. Since your appreciation of beauty is heightened now, you will love galleries, boutiques, gorgeous architectural buildings and museums. (This is an excellent week for a vacation.) Yet, you have energy to study and expand your mind, which is why rousing discussions about politics and philosophy will stimulate you. Expect a dispute about shared property, taxes, debt or inheritances; but this will be settled, no matter how annoying. Oscar Wilde said, "It's absurd to divide people into good or bad. They are either charming or tedious."
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Let us remember that you need more sleep now - factoid. Take naps. In fact, your sex drive is aroused, which is another reason you might be in bed. Relations with others will be affectionate and intense because both Mars and Venus are in the part of your chart related to sex. (Would I make this up?) This is also a time when gifts, goodies and favours from others will come your way, so enjoy these benefits! Possibly, disputes about shared property or how to spend a limited amount of money might occur. In fact, relations with a partner will hit a brick wall at some point this week. But you can leap over this wall, quite easily. Good time to seek a loan or a mortgage.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Expect a push me/pull me relationship with partners and close friends this week because both Mars and Venus are opposite your sign. Mars will trigger competition and feisty energy plus tension and conflict will be there as well. However, Venus will do just the opposite by paving the way for smooth relations and making all your dealings with others warm and affectionate. Mars likes to fight and Venus likes to make peace. Therefore, there will be a Jekyll and Hyde quality to your partnerships and close friendships in the next few weeks. (Just what the doctor ordered.) Meanwhile, an obstacle related to your job will come to a head this week. After that, a solution is close at hand.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
You're keen to work hard now, even to the point where you will delegate to others. But this is good because you are ambitious to achieve, which is perfect because with Jupiter at the top of your chart, it's the best time in 12 years for you to make a name for yourself. Whatever you do that looks good will bring you great press. Meanwhile, Venus will attract work-related romance and warmer relationships in general on the job. Be prepared for major standoff with a romantic partner or one of your kids this week. Fortunately, once this challenge is settled, it will quickly fade away. "Take your hands off my lobby boy!"
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
This is a wonderful, playful time for your sign. In many ways, you would like to be on vacation, enjoying good times with friends and kids. Sports, the arts, the theatre and cultural events will appeal. This is a great time for romance and pleasure and creative activities because you feel relaxed and comfortable in your own skin right now. Plus you want to have fun! Admittedly, conflict with kids is also possible at this time because of Mars. Meanwhile, in the bigger picture, a major obstacle related to your home or your family will come to a head this week. The good news is that this can be swiftly resolved. The bad news is that it even exists. Oh well. We all live in the yellow submarine, which is an interconnected binary universe.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
It's a mixed bag on the home front right now because in one way, everything is supportive friendly and smooth. In fact, not only do you want to entertain at home, you want to redecorate and make where you live more attractive. Fiery Mars will in fact, energize you and make you want to renovate and shove furniture around. However, fiery Mars can also introduce conflict with family members. (You win some; you lose some.) So there will be this contradictory influence at play this week, and for several weeks, in fact. Meanwhile, an everyday dispute with a sibling, relative or neighbour will come to a head about something this week. Someone will block what you want to say or do. Just chill. This will pass quickly, especially if you drink lots of water.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
You can charm the birds of the trees this week because your communication skills are tops. In fact, you can make money from your words. Connect the dots. This means that writers and those of you in sales, marketing, acting and teaching can boost your income in the next few weeks. Yada yada yada. Not only will you be diplomatic and persuasive, you will also be forceful and attention-getting. You will easily win arguments and make your point. What you have to be aware off, however, is a conflict related to money and earnings this week that will likely come to a head. If you can steer safely through this one - and it will be resolved within a week - you're home free.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
This is a powerful time because the Sun is in your sign. Nevertheless, something that involves an authority figure in your life (parent, boss, teacher or the police) will come to a head this week because you will be blocked from doing what you want to do. At least, that's how it looks and feels from your end. And this is a major impasse. You might want to break free from detention or break out of a rut but find that you can't. Something or someone will restrict you or hold you back. Fortunately, this situation will improve quickly but you will have to go through the Fire Swamp. "Wesley! ROUS!" (Rodents of Unusual Size.) Meanwhile, back at the bank, your finances are improving. Ka-ching!
