All Signs
At the end of for the week, the Sun changes signs to usher in a new focus for everyone in the following month. Next week, another big change will take place when Saturn leaves Scorpio on the 23rd. These changes begin in a subtle way. They're not like an elevator door suddenly opening to reveal a new vista. "Seventh Floor. Housewares. Ladies Lingerie." It's more a slow dawning of realization that things are different. Of course, not everyone is aware of what's going on in life. After all, time flies when you're unconscious.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
The month ahead is powerful because four planets are at high noon in your chart - the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Pluto. (Well, Pluto is not a couch surfer. It's there for the duration, like your mother-in-law.) But the Sun will cast a flattering light on you, making you appear attractive, competent and resourceful. Others will be impressed and ask you to take on extra duties. Mercury will sweeten your ability to talk to bosses and VIPs; and Venus will soften hard edges so that everyone gets along. In fact, Venus will encourage romance with a boss or someone richer. (That's really getting along.) Make note of this and use it to your advantage. This is the time to make your pitch or ask for a favour. ("Dad, can I have the car to go to Palm Springs?")
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
In the next four to six weeks, you will want to travel. For starters, you want to blow town and see different places with great food. Venus will also urge you to travel for pleasure, and will attract new relationships with people from other cultures and different countries. Meanwhile, Mercury pumps your curiosity to learn something new and talk to fascinating people who are "different." This triple emphasis is tough to avoid. But if you cannot escape somewhere, then at least, be a tourist in your own city. Visit different, ethnic restaurants. Go someplace you've never been before. Have a drink in a great hotel lobby and people watch.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Oh my - a passionate, intense month ahead! (Your gonads are in overdrive.) Before we even address the sexual component, one thing is certain; you will be focused on secrets - mysterious secrets. They might pertain to other people's wealth or earnings or something to do with inheritances. Very hush-hush; nevertheless you're talking and others are talking. Yada yada yada. And whether you sense this or not, the fact is you will likely receive gifts, goodies and even cash from others. Keep your pockets open. This means the holiday season will be generous to you. And yes, sexual intimacy will be promising. According to Mae West, "Good sex is like good bridge. If you don't have a partner, you'd better have a good hand."
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
In the month ahead, four planets will be opposite your sign. The Sun, the giver of energy, is one of those planets. Yes, in astrology we "call" the Sun and Moon planets. We're that dumb. And because this planetary source of energy is as far away from you as it gets all year, you will need more sleep. Factoid. However, in addition, this polarized placement of the Sun, Mercury and Venus will totally focus you on partnerships and close friendships. They will be very big in your life in the coming month. Mercury will encourage discussions, gossip and negotiations. Venus will entice love affairs and cozy times with others, even with your enemies. In fact, the month ahead is a great time to make peace with difficult people. (A good test is to see if they will pay for lunch.)
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
You are dramatic, theatrical and magnanimous! Nevertheless, in this exuberant, holiday month ahead - what are you doing? Filing. Well, not quite. But your primary thrust will be to get better organized. ("I'll take the empties back.") In a way, this is not surprising. You like to ensure that everyone has a good time. That's why you will run around doing errands, helping others, laying the groundwork for successful social situations, and in general, improving things for everyone, yourself included. A work-related romance might begin, especially if someone admires what a generous trooper you are. And you are.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
It's party month for Virgos, so start thinking about your wardrobe because you'll be tripping the light fantastic. Accept all invitations. Enjoy the arts, movies, the theatre, musical performances and sports events. In particular, you will delight in playful times with children. Romance and love affairs will be sensuous and passionate. (I'm not just saying this.) You will feel relaxed and free, with no need to pretend to be anything you are not. The month ahead is also the perfect time to express your creativity through dance, drawing, painting, acting and singing. And Mercury will encourage the enjoyment of mind games, crosswords, puzzles and Sudoku.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
It's not surprising that in the month ahead, your focus is on home, family and your private world. You love your home, especially when it's clean and well decorated. And you also love to entertain. And this is exactly what you will do. First, you'll start by tackling some home repairs, and then you will do some redecorating tweaks (because this is who you are); and then you will invite people over for good food and drink, and everyone will have a fabulous time! You'll enjoy interactions with parents and family members, and hopefully, people will arrive bearing gifts of expensive stemware.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Fasten your seatbelts because you will have to hit the pavement running to keep up with your busy pace in the coming month ahead. Short trips, conversations with relatives, siblings and neighbours, shopping, reading and writing, and mucho mucho errands will leave you breathless. Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Small wonder your focus is on money, cash flow and earnings - it's December! In fact, this increased focus on finances will continue for the next five weeks. For starters, many of you are thinking about how to earn more money, or make a little extra on the side. (With gravy, please.) Fortunately, Mercury will guarantee that you are full of moneymaking ideas. Meanwhile, back in the mall, Venus will ensure that you are buying beautiful goodies for yourself and loved ones. ("I couldn't resist it!") But hey, you are not deeply superficial. You're more than that. And indeed, the Sun will prompt you to cogitate, ruminate and meditate upon your values. Kidding aside, you do want to know what really matters. You don't want to put your money on the wrong horse.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
It's all about you, babes. Four planets are in your sign, including the Sun, which means it's your turn to recharge your batteries for the rest of the year. In fact, the Sun will attract favourable circumstances and important people to you. Meanwhile, Mercury will make you a lively conversationalist because you will put a lot of yourself in whatever you have to say. Your mind will be busy, and you'll love talking to many people. In addition, fair Venus will make you charming and diplomatic. Venus also brings you wonderful opportunities to shop for wardrobe items, so get thee to the store. Buy labels. Preferably attached to items of clothing.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
