All Signs

This week we have a Full Moon in Taurus, the only one all year. Incidentally, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius are all Fixed Signs, which means they can't have kids. (Not.) Fixed Signs are set in their ways. They like tradition. ("What? No cranberry sauce with the turkey? That way lies madness!") Fixed signs are willful, determined, persistent, and powerful. They like stabilization. And yeah, they can be opinionated. A Full Moon in Taurus will encourage a strong focus on money and possessions, as well as good food. (Yummers!) As that famous Taurus, Orson Wells once said, "Ask not what you can do for your country. Ask what's for lunch?" "Indeed! Hear, hear!"

Aries (March 21-April 19)

The Full Moon this week hits you in both your Money Houses. That's why you will feel a greater concern about earnings, cash flow, debt and assets, including inheritances. Disputes about possessions, the ownership of something or shared property might come to a head now. This could be nasty, but you might achieve a resolution after the Full Moon peaks. Things will turn out favourable for you because Venus will attract money to you through others, especially business partners and spouses. Issues regarding getting a loan or a mortgage might be temporarily difficult, then be quickly resolved. Something to do with your sex life might also be tested. (There's a midterm next week.)

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

This week the only Full Moon in your sign all year takes place. Regrettably, there is no real upside to a Full Moon in your sign. In fact, it generally creates tension between you and your partner or you and close friends. That's because the Full Moon in your sign heightens your emotions about practically everything. The good news is it is a brief situation - at most around 48 hours. So if you feel increasingly annoyed with others, do not lash out. (Not really your style, anyhow, is it?) Be confident that this too, shall pass. Venus opposite your sign will beautifully ameliorate things. And of course, Jupiter is standing by to guarantee a happier home life for you for the next year!

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Something or someone might create stress for you on the job this week. And even though this might be the case, you have your choice of response, don't you? If you emotionally distance yourself from the problem, you can maintain your cool. Of course, this means you have to give up the game that Eric Berne called NIGYSOB in his book Games People Play. (That's short for Now I've Got You. You Son of a Bitch.) This is the game where you get on your high horse if someone else is wrong, and you are right. Don't hold others hostage. Lighten up. The fact is Venus wants to promote good relations with coworkers and bosses. I say, go with that energy. The Full Moon is only 48 hours. Plus, who wants to be a schmuck?

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

The Full Moon this week will probably create stress in the romance department. Well, what's new? Romance is always ripe for stress because we have such high expectations, and yet, we feel frail and insecure half of the time. ("Am I damaged goods?") There are other areas that are vulnerable as well - anything related to sports (professional or amateur) as well as dealings with the entertainment world and the hospitality industry. And let us not forget your relationships with children, especially your own kids. Patience and tolerance are, of course, the key to your peace of mind. And remember: The course of true anything does not run smooth.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Well, you are one of the fixed signs, which means this Full Moon will hit you harder than many other signs. Or to be more precise, your emotional reaction to events happening around you will be greater. In particular, this Full Moon will make you feel caught in the middle of the demands of home and family and your personal life versus the demands of your job, career and your public reputation. You can't keep everyone happy! This means you have to make a choice; and for this particular Full Moon, you cannot ignore home, family and your personal life. It's just that simple. Well, simple is perhaps not the ideal word, is it?

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Do be careful because the Full Moon this week could create an accident-prone situation for you. Naturally, an accident doesn't have to happen. What might happen is that you are distracted; or you have a heightened emotional reaction to something someone says; or you react to the way someone else drives; or you might be the white rabbit with your own busy schedule: "I'm late! I'm late! For a very important date!" Whatever the cause, you can override these stimuli if you maintain your cool. Guard against knee-jerk reactions. Think before you speak. Avoid foot-in-mouth disease. Remember your objective, which is that you want to be happy.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Something to do with your finances, your possessions, your assets and your wealth in general will be the vulnerable area for you this week because this is where the Full Moon will impact your sign. Perhaps it relates to earnings? It might also relate to how something is divided. You might feel shafted or that you are not getting your fair share or that you have to pay too much. You are a sign that strives for balance, and you might feel challenged about where your responsibilities lie vis-a-vis others. You want to be fair but you don't want to be a sucker. You have strong favourable planets stabilizing your own earnings now. So in the long run, don't worry. (Your Tom Mix decoder ring will arrive in the mail tomorrow.)

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Oh my. The Full Moon this week is the only Full Moon all year that is opposite your sign. This will almost certainly create tension between you and partners or close friends. The main thing to remember is that this is very temporary. You don't have to have a reaction because these annoyances will be gone in two or three days. The thing about your sign is you often have a black or white response to the world. You really like something or you hate it. The good news is that Venus in your sign will soften your responses to others. Remember two things: First, think before you speak. (You can be scary.) And second, remember that the email of the species is more deadly than the mail.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

I think a lot of Sagittarians are going to get off pretty light with the Full Moon this week. Admittedly, it will make you restless and mildly agitated and itching for action. But hey - this is simply a heightened version of who you always are! Admittedly, this restless quality could stir up conflict with a coworker or someone related to your job. Or it might be with someone who gets in the way of any task you want to perform; and yet again, it could be someone in a health-related capacity. Fortunately, you have cultivated the style of covering up your pain with a breezy humour. You might want to rely on this coping device this week. Why make things worse?

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

You like to get along with others for many reasons, but one of them is that you value your reputation and the respect that others give you. Therefore, you think twice before you do anything to weaken that respect. For this reason, you might feel challenged by the Full Moon this week when difficulties or conflict with others arises, especially with friends or groups with whom you are dealing. Grrrr. Remind yourself that you are not perfect and neither is anyone else. We are all frail mortals grappling on this darkling plain. Of course, there are a few jerks out there. Whatchyagonnado? It's a scientific axiom that for every action there is an equal and opposite criticism.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Like Leo and Scorpio, you really feel this Full Moon because it is completely at odds with your sign. You feel pulled in two directions - trying to satisfy the needs of home and family versus trying to satisfy the needs of your job, career and your external world. And of course, you can't please everyone! Well, with this particular, you cannot ignore your reputation and your job. You have lots of opportunities in this area right now so you have to be skilful. Don't blow anything with a temporary loss of good judgment. Be cool; and don't squat with your spurs on.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

You will have to be mindful this week because this particular Full Moon could introduce you to accident-prone situations. Distractions, heightened emotions and stressful circumstances could rob you of your patience and mindfulness, which are necessary to avoid accidents. These accidents could be as minor as dropping a glass in the kitchen or as major as a car accident. Therefore, be consciously aware of the effort to be calm and be mindful and to pay attention to everything you say and do. Naturally, this includes your speech as well as your actions. Make your words sweet in case you have to eat them later.
