All Signs
Although Mercury does not go retrograde until June 7, it starts to slow down on the 28th, which means we should postpone purchases like cell phones, computers, cars, trucks and bicycles until after July 16 (when Mercury catches up to the degree it was at when it first went retrograde). Venus enters Taurus on Wednesday; and on Thursday, Mercury enters Cancer. Meanwhile, the only New Moon in Gemini all year occurs this week. It's a shifting landscape! Each New Moon is a chance to make resolutions; and each New Moon is different. Read on to see what resolutions you might make this week. Those of you who are perfect - can just stop reading.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
This New Moon wants you to focus on your style of communicating. We are gregarious. We need each other. We like to see people and to be seen. We also want to hear others and be heard. Do you speak in a way so that others get your drift? Are you verbally bossy? Are you diplomatic and patient? Family discussions will come up a lot in the next few weeks plus you will buy beautiful things for home and family. While you're doing these things, observe your style of relating, especially to siblings, neighbours and relatives. Do you see some room for improvement?
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
You are the financial wizard of the zodiac. You're never casual about money. (You can practically mint the stuff in your backyard.) Both the Sun and the New Moon are in your sign now. That means this is the perfect time to think about how you use your cash, your wealth and your possessions to make your life easier. After all, isn't that the point? If what you own makes your life tougher - why do it? Think about your relationship to your assets and possessions. Do you own them or do they own you? Many of you are collectors. Is your collection a dusty albatross around your neck? What can you do to improve how you handle your stuff?
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
This week the only New Moon all year in your sign is taking place, which makes this the perfect time to take a realistic look in the mirror and ask yourself how you can improve your appearance. What can you do to create a better image in your world? This isn't vanity. If people approve of how you look, they relate to you differently. Doors open for you. Opportunities more easily come to you. Quite literally, your life is easier. If you look like a dirty scrounge - these things don't happen. Of course, you don't look like this - but your appearance ranges on a scale of zero to perfection, right? Where do you fall on that scale?
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
This week Mercury moves into your sign giving you an urge to talk to others. By the mid-to June, it will slip back into Gemini but then return to your sign on July 13, to remain for the rest of the month. This means communications with others will be important, especially with people from your past. You will also have a chance to research things and discover secrets from the past as well as solutions and answers to old problems. Venus will ensure harmony and social schmoozing with creative, artistic types in the next few weeks. Get ready for increased chaos and activity on the home front once again. Fear not, this will not go on forever. By Aug/Sept, your home scene will be much restored.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
This week Mars is on the move again after being retrograde for almost 3 months. Look out world! You might be more argumentative because you identify with your beliefs. Conflicts with others, especially siblings might arise. On the other hand, if you have to sell something now - this is your hour! You will be powerful in all your communications to others but perhaps even too powerful. You might want to pull your punches so you don't overwhelm others. Relations with bosses and authority figures will be excellent in the next few weeks; in fact, you might develop a crush on your boss or someone richer and worldlier. Use the New Moon energy this week to identify goals (with dates) for your future.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
The New Moon this week is at the top of your chart. (This is the only time all year this occurs.) That makes this the best time of the year to think about your life direction. Are you headed in the direction you want to go? Do you even know what direction you want to go? Are your goals your own goals or the goals of someone else? Travel for pleasure will appeal in the next month, and you will spend more money. You will put out equal efforts to earn it, fear not. Enjoy your excellent reputation with important people right now. Milk this for all it's worth! You are popular with younger people now.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Your best opportunity this week is your chance to make goals (specific with deadlines) about higher education or further training, or anything to do with publishing, the media, medicine, the law or future travel plans. Can you improve your job by getting further training? Will further education enrich your life? There is something that you can do now - plans you can make - that will expand your world. No question. Meanwhile, negotiations with others about inheritances, banking matters and shared property will go well in the next few weeks. During a time romance will be particularly affectionate and inspiring.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
This week fair Venus moves opposite your sign, which will improve relations with partners and close friends. In fact, the next few weeks will be an excellent time to enter into partnerships, including marriage. Your relations with the general public will improve as well. Meanwhile, secret love affairs might take place. Small wonder because you are so intense about everything! Continue to explore travel plans for the future and anything to do with higher education, medicine and the law. Talk to people from other countries and different cultures because this will inspire you. Keep in mind that whatever you do, you are reinventing yourself in the next few years, which is why it's totally appropriate to explore a new sandbox.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
With the Sun opposite your sign, you need more rest. Get more sleep during the next few weeks. This week the only New Moon that is opposite your sign all year is taking place, which makes this the perfect time to make resolutions about how to improve your friendships and partnerships. Remember: In a successful relationship, you are as good for your partner as he or she is for you. The next few weeks will be good at work. A work-related romance might begin and you might make your work place more attractive. Expect praise and possibly a raise. Competition with a friend, in a group is likely. Basically, you will benefit from all your exchanges with others at this time. This is not a time to go alone. Enjoy sex, coffee and conversation.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
You're determined to get better organized, which will give you a warm feeling in your tummy. By nature, you're industrious. You like to make your actions count. The New Moon this week will help you do this because it is your best chance all year to think about how to be more productive and efficient in everything you do. By extrapolation, this includes your health. What can you do to improve your body and your sense of well-being? New romance and playful flirtations will be a distraction, no doubt. Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
This week the New Moon is your best opportunity all year to make resolutions about you appreciate (or not) your creativity, and also the degree to which you allow yourself to play in a lighthearted way. Play can be sports related, social, or just how you spend your leisure time. A balanced life needs playtime as well as work time and yet, we often feel guilty when we play. Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
Your focus continues on home, family and your private life. In fact, this is the very area where the only New Moon of the year, which takes place this week, is occurring. That means this is the perfect week to make resolutions about how to improve your home as well as how to improve your family relationships. Any ideas? Venus will promote your ability to make money from your words - selling, writing, acting, teaching. And the forward action Mars will make you more highly sexed, and at the same time, more proactive about defending your best interests in disputes about shared property, insurance matters and inheritances. Money won't buy friends but it does attract a better class of enemies.
