The Vernal Equinox occurs on Thursday, March 20 when the Sun enters Aries. From an astrological point of view, this is a fresh new beginning for everyone because Aries is the first of the zodiac. Recently, someone asked why Pisces was always the last sign mentioned on my monthly TV forecasts. I told him it was because Pisces was slow. (I lied.) The truth is Aries is the first and Pisces is the last of the 12 signs. However, on an astrological chart, the signs are actually in a circle, like the face of the clock. So in fact, Pisces (the last sign) and Aries (the first sign) are actually side-by-side. Or as they say in Quebec, "side by each."
Aries (March 21-April 19)
This is an empowering time for you. The Sun is in your sign for the next month giving you a chance to recharge your batteries for the rest of the year. It will also attract important people to you as well as favourable circumstances. It's good to be aware of this blessing and use it to your advantage. Venus will soften all relationships with friends and groups; however, your ruler fiery Mars continues to oppose you until August, creating arguments with partners and close friends. To sum it up, things are great except for the frequent annoyance you might feel with those who are close to you. Consider this an opportunity to practice patience.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Your personal year is coming to an end. Would it be wise to use some time in the next month to strategize your new year? I think so. For example, how do you want your new year to be different from this year? Partnerships have been a struggle for many of you, both personal partnerships as well as professional; nevertheless, you are working hard, in fact, unusually so. In addition, your optimism is strong and your hopes for the future are big. These hopes are justified because in about five to six years, you will reach a career peak or time of harvest in your life. And late this year and next year, will be an excellent time to explore real-estate opportunities. Ka-ching!
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
You're looking at a popular month ahead! Accept all invitations. Get out and boogie. Talk to people and meet new faces. Join classes, gyms, clubs and organizations. Not only is this a social month ahead for you, it's a time where you will benefit from interacting with others. In other words, people will help you! Travel for pleasure appeals and you have lots of energy for romance and competitive sports. And of course, your future earnings are bound to increase this year and next. This increase in earnings could grow from a contact you make this month. Enjoy your increased popularity and think about how to make your dreams come true.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
In the next five weeks, the Sun is at the top of your chart acting like a spotlight. This light is flattering, which is why people will admire you and those in authority will give you increased responsibilities. Make the most of this! This is the time to make your pitch or go after something you want or ask for approval or permission. Not only will authority figures give you the nod, you can benefit from the wealth and resources of others as well. Gifts and goodies will come your way. This is an extremely favourable time except for the chaos and insanity on the home front. Oh well. Calm your mind. Close your eyes and hum, "Ohm on the Range."
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
You're restless; you want to see those telephone poles flying by. Whether it's a road trip or jet hop somewhere, you need a change of scenery. Adventure and the thrill of discovery! Yeah! Therefore, you need to do something to satisfy this urge. Travel is a good choice. Or you might experience something fresh by learning anything new or you could sign up for a course. Recently, I have been discovering an unfamiliar part of a city I thought I knew and I'm fascinated! Groovy new places to eat and cool secondhand bookshops make me feel like I'm on vacation. But I'm at home. Relations with partners are smooth this month, despite your edgy, aggressive style.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
You're looking at an intense six weeks where things will trigger a passionate response within you. Needless to say, sex will be hot. But that's a given. You will also passionately defend your best interests in sharing anything like an inheritance or a dispute about insurance matters or shared property. You will defend your turf! In addition, you might be focused more than usual on taxes, debt, bills, shared expenses, shared labour and the responsibilities you have for others. Fortunately, everything at work is smooth and cozy. In fact, some of you might get a raise or at least, praise. Others could strike up a work-related romance. Woo, woo!
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
The Sun is now opposite your sign, which is as far away from you as it gets all year. Because the Sun is your source of energy, you are bagged! You need more sleep. Some of you have erratic sleep patterns where you want to sleep in the day and stay up all night. (Tough if you have a regular Monday to Friday job.) Of course Librans, more than any other sign, are prone to crazy sleep habits. Do get more rest. This will be challenging because fair Venus will create parties, social occasions and romantic adventures. And feisty Mars is in your sign until August making you energetically assertive (read bossy and pushy).
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
You are gung ho to get organized. You want to pull your act together. You want to be efficient at work; and you want things running tickety-boo at home. Many of you will also work out at the gym because you want to buff your bod and get in shape. In other words, you want it all! And why not? Make a list and prioritize what is really important for you to achieve. Then when you decide to tackle something - give yourself the best equipment to do it. Take yourself seriously. Do yourself a favour. When you tackle something like a professional, the results will show. Like the pro carpenter, "Measure twice, cut once."
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
The circus has come to town! Your month ahead is full of games, parties, schmoozing, flirtations, romantic getaways, vacations, games, sports events, musical performances, the arts, movies and just plain fun. You will relax and just be who you are. Make an effort to express your creative talents. Enjoy playful times with children. Take a vacation. Everything to do with the arts, the entertainment world, show business and the hospitality industry will flourish. You can make money from writing and talking. You also have high, competitive energy dealing with friends and groups. On top of this, money and goodies will continue to come your way. How sweet it is!
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
In the month ahead, your attention turns to home, family and your domestic and private world. Interactions with a parent could be significant. Some of you will want to cocoon more at home or hide. Or you might check out how to modify your home or make basic changes that please you. Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
It's a busy month ahead! You've got things to do, places to go, people to see. Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
