All Signs
We are now in the throes of Mercury retrograde, which is a poor time to buy ground transportation (cars, trucks, bikes) computers and cell phones. Expect cheques in the mail to be late. Postal and courier services will suffer from delays. Everyone will be dogged by silly errors and confused communications. But the good news is it will be easier to finish business, do research or study history during February. Although technically, Mercury retrograde is over at the end of the month, not until March 20, are we in the clear for big-ticket items. If you are buying a computer, car, truck or motorcycle - wait until March 20 to be safe. With money in your pocket, you are wise, handsome and you sing well, too.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
This month brings old faces back into your life, whether they are casual contacts or close friends you haven't heard from for a long time. Call it old home week. Mars opposite your sign continues to challenge you in terms of patience when dealing with others. However, Venus at the top of your chart paves the way for you to deal with authority figures, bosses, parents, teachers and VIPs. In fact, romance with a boss could begin. Others will ask for your creative input on design, layout or how something looks because everyone knows how intuitively creative you are. Relations with family members continue to enrich your life and vice versa. It's all good.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Expect to run into old bosses and authority figures from your past now and for the rest of the month. Similarly, you might be more involved with a parent or talk to a parent you haven't seen for a while. Because you're in a positive frame of mind and ready to take advantage of opportunities; and because you are also working unusually hard (and will continue at this hard-driving pace for months to come) quite possibly, these past connections that you encounter will open up new avenues for you. It's the old, "I know a guy" routine. It's who you know, right? Meanwhile, travel for pleasure looks promising as do flirtations with people from other countries and cultures. Ole!
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Mercury is your ruler, which is why you feel the frustrations of Mercury retrograde more than other signs. But by the same token, it also means you can successfully deal with old situations that have been festering or nagging you for months, even years. Now you can finally clean something up, once and for all. In other words, you will get the deed done. Finito. One reason this will go smoothly is others will help you. Meanwhile, playful times are promising! Your sex drive is strong and opportunities to flirt, party, enjoy sports events and vacations are all around you. Plus, you can start to plan how to boost your income. Ka-ching! You wanted more? (Probably. After all, there are two of you.)
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
You're never casual about money. You bargain and you get value. This month is fortuitous because Mercury retrograde will help you to tie up loose details with inheritances, taxes, debt, insurance matters and shared property. Admittedly, it will also cause delays in these areas; however, wherever you have had issues that have dragged on and on, can now be finalized and dealt with. What a relief! Closure, at last. Meanwhile, tension and increased chaos at home continue. Fortunately, lucky Jupiter in your sign buoys your spirits bringing you optimism and good fortune in many different ways. One of them is improved relations with friends and partners that are warm and rewarding. Gosh.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Mercury retrograde will be in Aquarius this month forcing you to deal with ex-partners and friends from your past. For some, this is an opportunity for closure. For others, it will be challenging. Lots of times, we don't like talking to ex-partners. (That's why they are ex-partners.) Nevertheless, you can turn this to your advantage. If you are in tricky discussions with partners (personal or professional) keep in mind that Mars will cause you to come on really strong. (Really.) This can be good; this can be bad. Fortunately, Venus paves the way at work promoting diplomacy and conciliation. Streamline your life from issues that you have procrastinated and ignored. Just do it. Make a list.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Life will be challenging this month but only with minor annoyances - nothing major. You will encounter obstacles, delays, mixed-up messages, confused communications, lost paperwork as well as broken-down equipment, especially transportation. Sounds like a headache, I know. But mostly, Mercury retrograde frustrations are just delays. On the upside, you will more easily wrap up projects at work or delve into the past and successfully research information you need to find. Ex-coworkers and contacts from the past will reappear in your life in a way that is helpful. Who knows? Meanwhile opportunities to party, play and enjoy sports continue. Plus others are helpful. Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
You're gung ho and full of energy to get things done. (Just ask anyone around you.) All this go-go energy couldn't come at a better time because Jupiter, at the top of your chart, brings opportunities to promote your good name and professional success - the best in over a decade. This month is playful and full of opportunities to party, enjoy sports events, slip away on a vacation and delight in flirtatious romance. It's also a good time to enjoy playful times with children. In addition, many of you will redecorate where you live and entertain at home. (You love doing this.) Old flames and ex-lovers will appear out of nowhere. Be prepared. ("Mervyn?")
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Since last year, you have been on a new trajectory where you will reinvent yourself in the next six years. Therefore, it's important to figure out what you want. The decisions you make now are going to impact your future forever. Expect to be in touch with family members more than usual, especially family you haven't heard from for a while. Fair Venus will guarantee that you are gracious and diplomatic. In fact, this is an excellent month to make money from writing, talking, acting and teaching. Family businesses might suffer from delays. Allow wiggle room for this. Opportunities for secret love affairs still exist.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Communications with others will be confused and subject to misunderstandings this month. Transportation delays, flat tires, engine trouble, you name it will cause detours and glitches in transportation. This is why you should just expect this and allow extra time to get from A to B. (Everyone always wants to get from A to B, which makes me wonder, what's happening at B?) Contact with siblings and relatives you haven't heard from for a while is also likely. Meanwhile, competition with a friend or someone in a group will keep you on your toes. If you need help from others, just ask because Jupiter is waiting in the wings to help you.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Although Mercury retrograde is frustrating, some signs fare better than others. You are one of them. The downside is funds are hard to get and cheques will be late in the mail. Expect some snafus at work. But the upside outweighs the downside I think. This month, you have a chance to earn money from anything you started in the past. For example, if you're looking for a job, go back to places you worked before or contacts you had before. It's a tape-looping effect. Old ideas to earn money that were discarded or rejected can be resurrected again. But this time people will listen. Why not run them up the flagpole to see if anyone salutes? Be confident about your second chance to kick the can.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Even though Mercury retrograde begins in Pisces, it quickly slips back into your sign. This means you will feel lots of minor frustrations - misplaced papers, lost keys, forgotten library books, missed appointments, confused communications and equipment breakdowns, including ground transportation. You will attract people from your past back into your world, especially partners and close friends. This could be great because you are a networker extraordinaire. Here is a chance to reach out recharge old relationships and connections. (Don't leave home without your petition.) Explore avenues in travel, publishing, medicine and the law. Continue to look for ways to improve your job.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
You can count on running into old acquaintances and friends from your past this month. It's a given. However, at a social level, tiny insecurities and self-doubts will reawaken and you might find yourself questioning who you are and how others see you. Don't worry! Pisces is looking at one of the most fun-filled, romantic years they have had in over a decade. Start to focus on where your great vacation is going to be.
