Why riots in Egypt? Pluto rules countries; Capricorn rules governments. Pluto is now in Capricorn until 2024. The last time Pluto was in Capricorn was in 1762-1779, the time of the American Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, and the French Revolution. Pluto represents the forceful (even violent) tearing down of something in order to rebuild it better. Now it is in the sign of governments. This means repressive regimes will be challenged! Plus war-like Mars now dances with the Sun in Aquarius -- the sign of "Liberty Equality! Fraternity!" The Egyptian president has been in power for 30 years. The recently ousted president of Tunisia was in power for 24 years. Demonstrations are happening in New Delhi. Oh yes, "May you live in interesting times" was a Chinese curse. (But I prefer the French: "Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries!")
Aries (March 21-April 19)
The fiery dance between your ruler Mars and the Sun is energizing your social scene, especially with groups. You might be in physical competition with others or be extremely active (bossy?) in meetings, classes, or any group. But hey -- this might be all upbeat and good! Your high energy in group situations might catch the attention of a boss, or someone who is richer, older or worldlier. I say this because it looks like some of you will have an affair with this person. (Wow.) Time for a Mediterranean cruise? Or a trip to Mexico? So much fun when someone else picks up the tab. (Others will be asked for their creative input on things.)
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
It's important to push for what you want now because four planets are at the top of your chart, including fiery Mars, which makes you ambitious, and the Sun, which attracts important people and opportunities to you. It's all systems go! Talk to people in power and make your pitch. Ask for what you want, whether you are talking to a teacher in high school or the chairman of the board of a multinational company. The message is the same. You're in a position to win what you go after because others are easily impressed with you and, combined with this advantage, you feel gutsy about pushing the sides of the envelope!
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
You want to travel, learn something new, talk to people from other cultures and different lands, or do what you can to feel stimulated! You want more out of life. You hate the thought of getting dusty or dull. That's what drives you. But what pulls you is the lure of adventure and the excitement of learning something new. You cannot ignore this influence right now. At the very least, shake up your routine. Go to different stores, different buildings, different businesses. Take a different route home from work. Go someplace you've never been to before. Visit churches, libraries, university campuses. Explore opportunities in publishing, the media, medicine, and the law. Make it happen!
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
By nature, you're practical and thrifty. You're no fool with money. You're a saver. At this time, you are intensely focused on inheritances, shared property, taxes, debt, or something you own jointly with others. Very possibly, some of you are in dispute with others about these issues. Or possibly, you are simply disputing other people's values with which you don't agree. Whatever the case, you will probably come out of this smelling like a rose because Venus makes you super-diplomatic and tactful with others at this time, while lucky Jupiter is preparing to sail across the top of your chart attracting opportunities to you. It's OK to have a warm feeling in your tummy!
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
All this fiery activity with the planets is taking place directly opposite your sign! Such a to-do! Naturally this makes you quick on the draw. You might jump to conclusions or be irritated with partners and close friends. Be aware of this so that you can curb this impulse. (It's petty and you don't do petty.) Fortunately, things at work are doing very well. Even your health is blessed. Furthermore, plans related to publishing, the media, higher education, medicine, the law, and travel are starting to look exciting! You have plans to go places! In many ways, a major turning point is taking place right now. You're shifting gears. Good things are on the horizon for Leos.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
You're super-enthused to work hard now and achieve something, and you want to be efficient, effective, and on top of your game. You're making lists and wishing you had a personal secretary to do half of the things you wish you could get done. Don't beat yourself up about this. You give yourself impossible standards. And if you don't achieve these high standards, you feel guilty. Of course, you don't think they're high standards. You think everyone makes their bed in the morning. You frown on a breakfast of fruit loops with chocolate milk. But the world is made up of frail mortals who indulge in amazingly useless, lazy, self-indulgent behaviour! Relax. You're doing just fine.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
You want to play! This is the perfect time for a vacation. You want romance, love affairs, and leisure time to fill your hours with pleasure. You want to eat out, see movies, the theatre and musical performances. You want to shop, schmooze, meet others for lunch and dinner, and indulge in appies and bottles of wine at home. You want the good life! (So say we all.) Because you're indulging yourself, many of you are also redecorating or tweaking your home. You love beautiful surroundings. New towels, sheets, or throw pillows, or art on the wall -- it's all fun. Yes, hard work has a future payoff but fun and pleasure have a payoff now!
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
There is so much going on with your home and family, but it's exciting, isn't it? Increased chaos and activity at home are creating lots of hustle and bustle. Family members are enthusiastic about something, except for the few moments when there is aggressive tension or conflict. Hey, it's only natural. (If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.) Ultimately, you're seeing how much beauty there is in your daily life, plus you're also coming to terms with how much love there is in your world just in the everyday contacts around you! Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Your life is busy with short trips, messages, increased reading and writing, and talking to everyone! Many of you are involved with siblings and neighbours more than usual, and this too, can be exhausting, especially if disputes, competition, or anger are present. And they might be. Yes, it's busy, but the upside of all this hustling energy is that you are unusually effective in all your communications with others. No one can resist your sales pitch. The good news is your earnings can increase now, and your purchases will please you and loved ones.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Your fixation on earnings, cash flow, money, possessions and how to amass a fortune (just kidding) (no, I'm not) continue to absorb you. You're looking for ways to boost your income or get a better job or make money on the side. You need to do this because you have plans and you need the coin! Furthermore, you've been spending money lately and that's another reason you need an influx of moolah. Nevertheless, despite your fixation on earnings right now, set aside time to think about what really matters in life. Many of you are reprioritizing your value system. You're planning ahead. You know it wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Mercury is in your sign, making you want to talk to enlighten everyone. (Hey, an expert is just an ordinary person who is away from home.) Mars is in your sign, making you come on like gangbusters. You're certainly assertive about exerting your wishes! This means you're well-equipped to take advantage of the opportunities that the Sun in your sign attracts to you now. Nevertheless, be considerate. You might blow some people away because you're coming on too strong. Physical exercise is a good option to blow off some of that pent-up steam. Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
