For those who contemplate major projects this summer, you will want to know Mercury goes retrograde next month on Aug. 21. However, it slows down by Aug. 7, so if you plan to buy a car, truck, bicycle or motorcycle, or open a business do it before August 7th. (This also applies to purchases of computers and phones.) Forewarned is forearmed! But hey, if you begin something before that date, then during Mercury retrograde (which is technically over on Sept. 13 but not truly over until Sept. 27 when Mercury catches up to the degree it was at when it first went retrograde), this Mercury retrograde period will be the perfect time to finish what you began! Good living is all about timing. To respect astrology is to use the rhythm method.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Your focus continues to be on home, family and domestic matters. This is a good thing because meanwhile, both Venus and Mars are co-operating to make you work very hard! Mars is your ruler and it not only rules your aggressive energy, it also rules your muscles. This week, the placement of Mars makes it easy for you to defer tomorrow's pleasures for today's duties and responsibilities. (I'm impressed.) You will take considerable pride in whatever you accomplish this month. Naturally, this continues to motivate you to do whatever you want to do! Take note: you're not a team player this week. You want to run your own show. (Fortunately, you're still taking time out for play, romance and vacations.) This is a strong week for you.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
This is quite a lovely time for you because both Venus and Mars are in your fellow Earth Sign of Virgo. (This fits very nicely with your earthy Taurus Sun.) This is why you're so keen to party, flirt, slip away on vacations, enjoy the arts, participate in sporting events and, in general, have a delightful time, especially with children. This is a wonderfully lighthearted week. Some of your enthusiasm will spill over into redecorating at home. (You love beautiful things, and you love your home.) Nevertheless, the tempo of your days is fast and snappy because short trips, errands, and conversations with others (especially siblings) fill your schedule. (Gasp.)
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Increased activity and chaos at home might be due to renovations, residential moves, visiting guests who are drinking all your booze, or some kind of project you have on the go. Naturally, this is likely to increase tension within the family or with housemates. Fortunately, you adore socializing right now. In fact, your gift of the gab is so well honed, many of you can make money writing, selling, marketing, acting or teaching this month. (Lord knows you're focused on your cash flow right now and looking for ways to boost your income.) Your best bet is to be patient with people at home. Don't get your belly in a rash. Your own peace of mind is worth far more!
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
You are still the employee of the month (until July 22) because the Sun is in your sign attracting opportunities and people to you. How sweet it is! This is why your communications with others are enthusiastic, persuasive and direct! You identify strongly with your ideas right now, and will be very quick to defend them. Keep this in mind if you think others are in your face. (Quite likely, they are just responding to you.) This is a good week for financial negotiations with business and commerce. It's even a good week to borrow money! Investments or purchases of art might increase in value. Enjoy buying goodies for yourself and loved ones. (Preferably wholesale.)
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Until July 22, it is wise to wait in the wings and work behind the scenes as much as possible. Not until the Sun enters your sign on that day will you really take your power. Until then, look for ways to use your possessions to get things done. The current placement of Mars will help you do this. You can be extremely resourceful now! Many of you are contemplating big purchases. (You love to spend money because you see it as an exercise of your rights.) If you do buy something, you'll feel proud of it. Caution: Fiery Mars can make you go overboard spending money on ego trips, driving down My Road to get to I 5, then over to Leo Lane. Ah yes, thrills and chills on the nonstop ego trip!
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Popular you! Everyone wants to see your face. Talk to people about your plans for the future to see if their feedback can help you. (This is likely the case.) Meanwhile, fiery Mars and fair Venus are both in Virgo right now. Va-va-va-voom! You've got energy to burn as you work to further your own interests and go after what you want. You're much more of a fighter than usual for your own rights and those of others. You've got lots of physical energy! (Do get extra exercise to blow off some of this pent-up steam.) Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
There's no question more than a few of you are indulging in secret love affairs right now. (Is stolen fruit sweeter?) Others are not involved in love affairs but instead are doing something else extremely private or secretive. You prefer to work alone or behind the scenes, even though bosses, parents, VIPs and the police notice you more than usual right now. (Perhaps that's why you're working behind the scenes!) Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
