All Signs
This week explosive, unpredictable Uranus moves into Aries where it will stay until August. Then it slips back into Pisces, only to return to Aries in March next year, where it will stay until 2019. (That's almost nine years.) The last time Uranus was in Aries was 1928-1935. (And just like now, it had a little peep show in 1927 for a few months.) We don't want to ignore this. The year 1928 was when the wheat crop crash brought Canada into the Depression (not the famous 1929 stock market crash on Wall Street which many now believe). When Uranus changes signs, it also affects each of us individually. Here's a preview of life's coming attractions. If we have data at our fingertips, let's use it. Hey - we know clocks are better than sun dials, especially on rainy days.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
"Well, hello Sunshine!" I'm sure your response to Uranus is "Don't mess with the kid." As Uranus slowly travels through your sign in the next 8-9 years, depending on when you were born, it will zap you. In a way, this sounds scary. But it's important to know this: Uranus is an influence that can keep you flexible, alive, and highly responsible. By that, I mean, it tests your "response" ability. Uranus is an indication that you have to let go of whatever is holding you back. Where it will affect you the strongest is in partnerships and close friendships. Uranus has a way of keeping us honest. Relax. This is just vuja de. (The feeling that this has never happened to you before.)
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
I think there's a likelihood in the next few years, that you'll face a lot of things you might now hide from. Mostly, these things will be your self-defeating habits where you always shoot yourself in the toe. We all have these. (Why else would I wear these ugly steel tip boots?) It's interesting that Uranus rules lightning and electricity. It has the power to illuminate truths we ignore or hide from. ("I'm Queen of Denial!") When you think about it, if they are truths, why wouldn't you want to know? The truth is pretty powerful! And don't they say that the truth shall set you free? (Unless the jury doesn't like you.)
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
As Uranus slowly travels through Aries, it will be an exciting time for you. More than any other sign, you thrive on change. You love variety! All kinds of unusual people are going to come into your life in the next decade. Real characters! As you rub shoulders with these people, they will likely cause you to change your dreams and hopes for the future. Their ideas will be so mind bending and impacting, that you'll abandon old goals because they no longer have meaning for you. Don't worry; this doesn't mean you have to grow up. You will never grow up. But it does mean your involvement with groups and new friends will ultimately change your life.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
This eight-year journey of Uranus is actually going to travel across the top of your chart. (Wow.) What this means is you will encounter events, circumstances, and people who trigger changes, which ultimately transform your reputation in the world. People will view you in very, very different terms a decade from now. An extreme example would be if you are an ordinary Joe now, and you're super famous 10 years from now. Could happen. (As a matter of fact, Uranus is the planet that is associated with fame.) Not only will your public reputation change, but your life direction in general will also change -- but for the better. You'll feel that your life will take on more meaning, perhaps in a humanitarian way.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
The revolutionary changes that Uranus inevitably brings will impact your belief systems, philosophy, religion, politics, as well as your relationship with publishing, the media, and anything to do with higher education. It can also influence your involvement with medicine and the law. Pretty heady stuff! Some sort of kapow! breakthrough will happen in these areas for you. It might very well be sudden. It will certainly change your sphere of activity, and possibly your experience of the world. In fact, you'll probably become more worldly. That's okay. A lot of Leos are sophisticates. (They like the big sun glasses.)
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
One of the influences Uranus brings anyone is the chance to get free of shackles, or oppressive situations, or anything that holds you back from fulfilling your potential. This is a good thing. In truth, if you've been living according to your inner beliefs, and giving yourself the personal freedom to live the way you really want to -- then, you'll undergo very little changes. You've already done the job that Uranus would urge you to do. However, if you're involved with heavy responsibilities under which you chafe, or feel resentful -- then Uranus could make a very big difference to your life in the next decade! You will be extricated from whatever you feel you can no longer handle. ("I didn't want to do that anyway.")
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
This new transit of Uranus is going to be completely opposite your sign. (You can run but you can't hide.) It is certainly going to force you to look at partnerships and your closest friendships. With Uranus in the picture, you can't kid yourself anymore, or just please people, or go along with situations about which you only feel so so. ("It's really not so bad, and anyhow, I'm used to it.") That kind of logic doesn't cut it with Uranus. Those of you who are in relationships that are oppressive will be jettisoned right out of them. "To the Moon, Alice!" After a dance with Uranus, we always feel freer, lighter, and more youthful! ("I'm two sizes smaller!")
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Actually, this journey of Uranus through your chart in the next decade is going to be exciting because it will take you into entirely new employment situations, new jobs, and the mastering of new technology. Even if you don't have a slave wage existence, you'll still explore technology in a way that will be amazing. ("All her kids have GPS implants. I think that's weird.") Many of you will embrace ancient or new age or extremely modern approaches to health and wellness. Your sign is going to discover breakthroughs not only that you use personally, but also breakthroughs that could benefit others as well. (Get it patented.)
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Your experience with the arts and sports will flourish marvelously in the next decade. You will break boundaries! You will achieve things you thought were beyond you. In fact, you'll do the impossible! Another area that will be completely unpredictable is related to love affairs and romance. Some of you will meet somebody who sweeps you off your feet! Some of you will come out of the closet. And some of you will quietly go into the closet, which is something you never thought you'd ever do. Children will be a source of surprise then, too. Especially unexpected pregnancies.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
In the next decade, Uranus will introduce dramatic changes into your private life primarily where you live and with your family. Remember that the thrust of Uranus is to free you from burdens and restrictive situations. Uranus represents liberation. It is also associated with technology, and group efforts for humanitarian causes. Somewhere in this mix, you'll experience changes at home. And when you come out the other end, you'll feel freer, lighter, and more ready to greet the world. You might discover what you thought made you feel secure was not really what makes you feel secure at all. That's a revelation. ("Would you like an epiphany? Take two, they're small.")
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Do you realize this whole discussion about Uranus is a discussion about your ruling planet? In the next decade, you will experience an entirely new way of relating to your daily world, including relatives and especially siblings. In other words, it's the day to day stuff that will be mind blowing for you. Not only that, your style of communicating will change. You might learn a new language. You might become even more high-tech (if this is possible). You might expound ideas and theories about freedom and reform to others, and get involved writing about this, studying it, and possibly networking. Some of you will feel that you finally have found your raison d'être. You'll no longer be a closet revolutionary.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
This new shift of Uranus, in many ways is a welcome passage for you because it's been going through your sign since 2003. (That's why it's been so hard to find some decent fitting shoes.) As it moves forward into Aries, it will introduce you to entirely new ways of earning money in the next decade. Very possibly, these new ways will be related to new technology. I think you will become more involved working with groups, at the same time, I also think many of you will become self-employed. One does not exclude the other. But I also think you're going to become freer of whatever ideas you have work in the back of your mind that limit your ability to earn more money. Yeehaw!
