Of course, we're in the throes of Mercury retrograde, which happens three times every year; and let's face it -- even though it's frustrating, it's not really a big deal. Having said that, (she announced, clearing her voice ominously) this particular retrograde Mercury will slide backward until it is opposite wild, wacky Uranus. Eeek! In fact, this occurs this week! This is definitely an accident-prone situation. Quite likely, it will be the kind of accident that is related to unfinished situations. Something you left out that you meant to put away. Loose ends that come back to bite you. Or falling off the wagon. "Ma'am, put the ice cream down. Keep your hands in the air. Step away from the fridge." Busted!
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Right now, the Sun is as far away from you as it gets all year. Since the Sun is the source of energy, you feel more tired than usual. (Get more sleep.) However, this low energy could lead to feeling discouraged. (Bummer.) Don't take this seriously. It will pass. Meanwhile, things in your life are coming to a head now. Some are successes, and others are not! This means you have to regroup, and organize your life so that you can move forward. Mucho errors at work are frustrating. (Just grin and bear it.) Focus on partnerships and close friends. What can you learn about your one to one encounters with others? (Not chewing with your mouth open?)
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
You're all fired up to get better organized at work and at home. We're talking about the real deal -- clean fridge, clean closets (well, maybe not the bedroom -- let's be realistic.) You want to feel that in every aspect of your life, you can reach out and put your hand on exactly what you're looking for, whether it's a file, a tool, or a $100 bill. (My favourite colour!) Since you're motivated to get better organized -- act on this urge. It may never come your way again for months. Give yourself the right tools -- cleaning supplies, file folders, shelves, whatever, to do a great, bang up job. Afterward, you'll feel wonderfully satisfied, and rewarded by your efforts. "I love me!"
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
It's party time! Once a year, each sign gets a real boost when it comes to seeking out pleasure, fun, romance and love affairs. This also applies to vacations, sports, and playful activities with children. Guess what? It's your turn! (You did guess, didn't you? )Creative efforts can flourish because you're in touch with your muse. Romance will be breathless. Social occasions are scintillating and stimulating. It's in the stars, and you're the winner -- what can I say? This is also a great time to entertain at home. Nevertheless, keep an eye on cash flow, finances, bank accounts and expenditures. There might be a few surprises here. ("Does this mean I have to smell the coffee? I hate smelling the coffee!")
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
During the next six weeks, your focus shifts to home, family, and domestic matters. You might be more involved with family events, or relatives might be visiting. (Still?) Discussions with family members, especially parents, will be more significant during this time. In part, this could be because childhood memories are bubbling to the surface of your mind. Even if you're caught up in a swirl of activities at home, you'll will want some time alone. (Oh yeah.) You need a little window of opportunity to cogitate, ruminate, meditate, and think about stuff. Mars in your sign keeps you feisty! (Get physical exercise.) Real estate might be a strong focus as well.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Fasten your seatbelts! A celestial shift now accelerates the pace of your days. You're busy! You've got places to go, people to see, and things to do! Short trips, increased errands, extra jobs, conversations with everyone plus mucho reading, writing and studying, keep you on the go at a mildly hysterical pace. ("My hair's on fire!") However, all this busyness can help you to notice more about your style of communicating with others. Now is the time to express your real thoughts and intentions about something. Should you tell it like it is? Well, it's one thing to shoot yourself in the foot; but don't do it with your foot in your mouth!
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
For the next six weeks, you'll be preoccupied with financial matters, money deals, and cash flow. You might also be thinking about your earnings, especially how to boost your wealth, or get a different job, or make some money on the side. Money, money, money! "What can I do that's fun and really going to make me happy?" However, this is also a good time to think about your possessions, and to take stock. Be mindful of maintaining and taking care what you already have, especially if you're thinking of buying new stuff! (Which you are.) The bottom line is -- what do you really want? Take some time to answer that question. Surprisingly, very few do.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
It's all about you now, dear Libra. The Sun is back in your sign for the next four weeks, boosting your energy, and attracting powerful people and opportunities to you. Make the most of this time. Demand the advantage! (Because you certainly have it.) Why? Because you can project your energy out to others more than usual. Mind you, others will notice you have a more subjective viewpoint. So what? This is not allowed? Not even once a year? This is the beginning of your new personal year (i.e. your year, which is from birthday to birthday.) And -- this is the most powerful birthday you've had in 30 years! So there.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Because your birthday is just a month away, this is your turn to play it cool, lie low, and work alone or behind the scenes. You need this down time to be able to strategize and plan what you want your new year to be all about. If you do nothing, then you'll probably just respond to whatever happens. (Management by crisis.) Alternatively, you could set some broad goals that you want to achieve this year. These goals are not intended to restrict or hamper you, au contraire! They can help you focus on getting what you want. Good fortune continues to benefit your home and family; and in the next year, this blessing shifts to romance, love affairs, vacations, sports, and children. Ha! All the fun stuff!
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
The next several weeks will be extremely popular. Everyone wants to see your face. This is the time to join groups, clubs, organizations, and committees. You might also join a class. Friends will be glad to see you; and you'll be glad to see them. This is an excellent time to share your dreams and goals for the future with others because their feedback will help you. (Hey -- Adam Sandler had the courage to stop being an action hero and become a hair dresser.) Romance with a boss, teacher, or someone older might take place. (If this is something secret - just remember: a lie is the only substitute for the truth.)
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Confessions may be good for the soul but they're bad for the reputation. The next month you'll be involved with bosses, parents, teachers, VIPS, and the police more than usual. Relax. It all looks good. Nevertheless, when you are around people who have power over you -- always be honest, and always edit whatever you say. (Like duh?) Actually, one of the reasons authority types will buttonhole you is simply this -- they notice you! Because the Sun is at high noon in your chart, it acts like a spotlight on you, and brings you to the attention of others, specifically the authority figures in your life. "What seems to be the problem, Officer?"
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
You want to break free of your chains! You want to explore new and different ideas. During the next six weeks, if you can get out of Dodge, do so. You're hungry to learn something new, plus you want more adventure in your life. An increased focus on publishing, higher education, medicine, and the law, are also likely. You're very work driven right now because you want to accomplish a lot. This ambition will help you to study or learn new things as well. Stay on top of money matters because money matters. (There could be a few surprises here.) Some of you might be involved with the law. "Is that the posse again?"
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
For the next month or so, you'll feel unusually passionate and intense about many things. You might meet somebody who provokes some deep soul-searching within you.
