This week ushers in an increase in pleasure, parties, social events, the arts, movies and all that is theatrical. But let us not forget sports! All kinds of sporting activities will appeal. (Well, not to everyone. To me - "outdoors" is where the car is.) The next six weeks are the perfect time for a vacation, and a marvelous time for love, romance and saucy flirtations! Why? Because the Sun is now in Leo, and Leo rules the entertainment world, the hospitality industry, show business, gambling, romance, sports and fun, extravagant thrills! Abraham Lincoln once said, "It has been my experience that folks who have no vices have very few virtues." (I knew it!)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
It's your turn to kick up your heels and have fun. The next six weeks are a marvelous time for creative activities where you can express your talents. Most of you adore working with your hands, trying new things -- hey, you're the artisan of the Zodiac! Flirtations, love affairs and romance will blossom. You feel playful, prankish and ready to enjoy the company of others. Sports, fun times with children, vacations, and everything with the entertainment world and show business will turn your crank. Look at life through the eyes of a child. Don't let the wonder pass you by.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Your attention now turns to home, family and domestic matters in the next six weeks. Family issues are important. In fact, significant family discussions will be taking place. In addition to this, you're also doing repairs at home or fixing what is broken. Lots of mental and physical activity might also take place at home with the coming and going of others or your own reading, writing and studying. Many of you are burning through cash right now; in part, because you're being generous to others. But you're also working hard earning money so that you can buy beautiful things! Go right ahead. Lucky Jupiter is at the top of your chart giving you divine protection.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Your busy life is getting busier! Short trips and mucho errands plus increased conversations with everyone are some of the reasons your schedule is so jam-packed. Plus, with both Venus and Mars in your sign now, you're super energetic and assertive; and yet at the same time, charmingly diplomatic. (Complicated --like a fine wine.) You're entertaining, upbeat, yet you look like you're on a mission! (Naturally, everybody wants to see you.) Do shop for wardrobe items because you like what you see in the mirror. (You look mahvelous darling, mahvelous.) This happens about every seven months whenever Venus -- the ruler of beauty -- is in your sign.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
You're giving much thought to money, cash flow, how you can earn your money, and how you can stop spending so much of it. (Ouch.) By nature, you're not a spendthrift. Au contraire. You like value for your money, and you get it because you find bargains and choose quality items at reduced rates. (You invented garage sales.) But lately, you're hemorrhaging cash! Fortunately, you're full of moneymaking ideas about how to replace it. Many of you are active with groups. (Could be competitive, either officially or privately.) In fact, a little squabble with someone is likely because you won't back down! However, mostly, dealings with others are happy and smooth.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Well, well, well - it's all about you! Your ruler the Sun has returned to your sign giving you the chance to recharge your batteries for the rest of the year. This is star power! Mercury is in Leo makes you chatty and curious about everything. Did you know that the Sun in your sign helps you to project your energy more forcefully than usual? Shazam! People notice when you enter a room. You might be a bigger than life and swaggering a lot more, and hey -- that's totally cool. It's your turn to put yourself first and pamper yourself. Hint: when you invest in yourself, then you have the energy to help, guide and lead others.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
This is the only time all year when you need to work behind the scenes or work alone. That's because it's a time of preparation. It's almost your birthday, but not quite yet. That makes this the perfect time to ponder what your new year (birthday to birthday) should be. How do you want it to be different from last year? Think about this. What do you want to accomplish? Write down three things. If you visualize what you want for yourself in this next year, you'll definitely increase the odds of getting it! Romance with someone older or richer is likely now. (Could be a boss. Lord knows you're ambitious this month.) Va, va, va, voom!
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
What a busy, popular month ahead! Everyone wants to see your face; meanwhile, you also have plans to see friends and join classes or groups. Warning: you might spread yourself too thin keeping everybody happy, and still doing what you want to do, plus honour obligations, duties and work. Sheesh! You're also putting out energy in publishing, media, higher education, medicine and the law. Some of you are also excited about travel plans. But the thing you must do in the next few weeks is this: define (at least to yourself) your long-term goals. (Just do it.) Once you know what you really want tomorrow (at home, or in your career, or in your family) then you know what to do today.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
This month is the only time all year when the Sun is at high noon in your chart acting like a spotlight on you. That's why bosses, parents, VIPs (and the police) notice you more than usual. You're high viz. You can use this to your advantage because this celestial influence quite literally casts you in a good "light". Without doing anything extra special, you create a marvelous impression on others. It's almost as if you can cast a spell on people. Therefore, ask for what you want. Push your agenda. Demand the advantage. This doesn't mean everything is guaranteed -- but you do have the edge! Make them an offer they can't refuse. (And take the cannoli.)
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
You need to spread your wings in the next six weeks. You're restless for adventure, and you want to learn and discover new things. "There's a new thing!" Basically, you want a deeper and more exciting experience of life. Quite obviously, you want to travel and broaden your horizons. That makes this a wonderful time to take up any kind of study or a new hobby or explore intellectual ideas. This is not the time to stay at home! Get out and meet others, especially people from different cultures and other countries. What you really want is an invitation to dinner at Gertrude Stein's home on the Left Bank in Paris to debate ideas with Hemingway, Whitehead, Matisse and Picasso. But they're all gone. (Sigh) Seek out fascinating minds!
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
You're feeling increasingly passionate about practically everything in your life. Suddenly, it's as if all the grays are gone and everything is black and white. Naturally, this passion includes intimacy (riff: heavy breathing) but it will also encompass many other areas where you suddenly have strong concerns. You feel the weight of being responsible for others, and you secretly wonder if you're doing your share. (You have a hair shirt mentality -- lighten up.) During the next six weeks, your research skills will be sharp. If you dig deep to find out something -- you'll get the goods on everyone! Monkey sees all, knows all, tells nothing. Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
You need more sleep. Factoid. For the next several weeks, the Sun is as far away from your sign is it ever gets all year. The Sun is your source of energy. You do the math. This Sun opposition also makes you focus more strongly on partnerships and close friendships. Be more aware of your partner's needs. Examine your close relationships. After all, for your own benefit, you must be as good for your partner as he or she is for you. This is a good time for important discussions because Mercury is also sitting directly opposite you. Don't be quick to assume others are opposing you. Consider this an opportunity to clarify things. "Well, whose toothbrush is it?"
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
Galvanize yourself into action! You're so motivated to get better organized! In other words, when the mood grabs you -- capitalize on it! For starters, do yourself a favour by giving yourself the right equipment to do a great job. Buy shelving, cleaning supplies, paint, picture wire, tape, file folders or whatever you need to pull it all together both at work and at home. Get rid of clutter. You'll be surprised at how much better you feel when you make your surroundings more attractive, more efficient and more inviting! (Cluttered surroundings make a cluttered mind.) This is also a good time to get on a health kick. Start by cutting back on harmful consumption - booze, cigarettes, coffee, sugar and wilted spinach. Definitely, keep an eye on that spinach intake.
