All Signs
On Tuesday the 23rd, an opposition between the Sun in Cancer and Pluto in Capricorn occurs. This opposition last happened in 1778. Family events are being shook up; old secrets are coming to life; however, ultimately, something superior will be the final result. (It's just painful getting there!) Things that no longer "fit" or are no longer useful will be cast aside. Partnerships, organizational dynamics, friendships and machinery will break down. This is beyond Band-Aid repair. This is shape up or ship out! (Be prepared for moments of vuja de -- that feeling that this has never happened before.)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Changes within your family structure are taking place. But lo! Monday the 22nd, is your best opportunity all year to think how to improve family relationships as well as your home, so that you can enjoy things more. Get rid of what is no longer useful or relevant in your life. De-clutter and recycle, sell or give stuff away. Streamline! At the same time, you'll buy something new that's long lasting and practical. Some of you will dream up new ways to earn money that demand enduring effort and patience on your part. This week is the time to introduce improvements to your home and your family. Any ideas?
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
This is an accident-prone time. Slow down and take it easy. Allow extra time for everything. Avoid power struggles and dangerous places prone to criminal activity. (A potential for violence exists.) However, this is the best time all year to assess your style of communicating with others on a daily basis, especially with siblings. It's easy to hold a grudge and not forgive. But isn't life too short for that? You are empowered right now because both Venus and Mars now give you charm, increased grace and diplomacy as well as vigorous energy! It will be easy to work long and hard at any task. (First we work -- then we play.)
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Something to do with finances might upset you. You might have power struggles with someone over finances and possessions. You might have to fight to get a possession back or to get rid of something. (Could go either way.) Nevertheless, as you work with juggling what you own, and juggling your cash flow, you'll prioritize what really matters. Do your possessions own you or do you own them? These are all things that you must think about right now. Actually, Monday the 22nd is the perfect day (the best all year) to think about how to handle what you own and to be empowered by it rather than enslaved. (You know who you are.)
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
The Sun is in your sign now; plus the New Moon is in Cancer on Monday. On Tuesday, Pluto directly opposes you -- something you've never before experienced. This can trigger conflict. There's an excessive desire to interfere with the lives of others. (Moi?) Whatever you do, don't go up against authority figures -- bosses, parents, teachers and VIPs. It won't work. Some might experience a health breakdown. Ultimately, you'll be rejuvenated by this experience. Relationships will change: some will end and some will be restored. A friendship with someone older will be rewarding in a practical, enduring way. (Gifts are nice.)
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
A lot of private stuff is being stirred up within you. (Like an epiphany or a reality check or an eye-opener.) You might reconsider things you were taking for granted. John Lennon was right: "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." Your focus is health-related or job related and this could involve turning over a new leaf with determination. "I'm going to do it!" Others, especially bosses and VIPs, are aware of how driven you are right now. You're willing to work tirelessly to accomplish something. It could relate to the arts, romance with someone older, or a project to beautify something. You're going for baroque!
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Some of you have undergone a Mexican standoff with a friend or a group. It's a clash of values or goals or plans and neither party will budge. "It's my way or the highway!" This makes you rethink friendships and ask yourself - "Who are my friends?" Friendships that aren't working will fall by the wayside. In the same way, you might be reevaluating some long-term goals. These too, will be assessed and embraced or discarded. Meanwhile, travel plans and anything to do with publishing, higher education, the media, medicine and the law look positive in an enduring way. You're working hard here to make something last the way you want it to last.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
This is the classic time for power struggles with authority figures in your life -- parents, bosses, teachers, VIPs and the police. But it's a poor time for power struggles! You'll lose ground or end up with egg on your face. (Ketchup helps.) Some of you will experience a change in life direction or your career. Something is undergoing an upheaval. Just remember not to make a big deal about anything because you're at a disadvantage. In particular, you're tempted to be excessive with respect to meddling or interfering or trying to get your way. Money from your partner, the government, or other sources might arrive. (Whee!) Sex can be fabulous and very loving.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Travel plans might be upset with cancellations and delays or changes. Power struggles and upsets might also take place with higher education or anything to do with publishing, the media, medicine and the law. This is a poor time to throw down the gauntlet. Back away from anything nasty. Similarly, avoid contentious issues with politics, religion and racial matters. You will simply encounter too much opposition. No matter what someone says, don't take the bait. (You'll regret it if you do.) Fortunately, partnerships are pretty cozy albeit a bit feisty. Sort of a hot and cold thang going here.( But hey -- when it's hot -- it's hot!)
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
This week you might butt heads about shared property, mortgages, loans, debts, taxes and anything in the jointly held. This can also apply to your partner's wealth, earnings or possessions. Something will go awry. You might get caught with your hand in the cookie jar. You might get caught prying into someone else's matters or meddling. (Moi?) Or conversely, you might catch somebody else doing this to you. Disputed inheritances and insurance matters are a classic illustration of this Plutonian planetary influence. Fortunately, you're busting your buns at work and everyone is impressed. Co-workers are co-operative. You might even get a raise or at the very least - praise. (Praise is nice but it doesn't pay the rent.)
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Because Pluto is in your sign for the first time in your life (remaining there until 2024) you will undergo life-changing situations and events. Earlier Capricorns (born from Dec 22 - 27) will feel it now; and as time progresses, later Capricorns will feel its effects as well. One thing it will definitely do is end relationships that have virtually finished anyway. If you've been hanging onto something or someone out of a sense of security or fear of change, this relationship will likely end. It will be very easy to lose weight now. Quite literally, anything that is excessive and not needed will drop away from your life. Outworn structures, relationships, habits and views will slowly disappear. The best way to handle Plutonian energy is to improve things around you and improve the lives of others as well as your own. You can't use Pluto's energy just for yourself. This will backfire. (But you'll have lots of power to introduce these improvements.)
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Radical things are taking place in your job and your employment scene. Things are up for grabs. Many of you are changing jobs or entirely changing your style of working. The result will likely be an improvement, especially if you can make this improvement benefit others as well as yourself. Similarly, some of you are undergoing big changes with your health, possibly even a breakdown of your health. Whatever occurs can eventually make you stronger and better protected against adverse health conditions. Basically, you're trying to introduce reforms into your life (with respect to your health) and also to your job and your style of working. Chaotic activity at home to renovations and redecorating projects continues. Nevertheless, family vibes are warm and loved. ("More cake, anyone?".)
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
There's a lot of energy swirling around love affairs, romance and the arts for your sign. Something fabulous could begin here or, alternatively, something weak will just end. Parents and people working with children might also undergo a change in your approach to handling children. This same powerful dynamic applies to sports, the hospitality industry, show business and anything to do with vacations. These are all areas where life-changing events can take place. Artists will really feel this. Conversations with partners are energetic and yet loving. You've got lots of energy to write, teach, act and communicate to others. Many of you are working out practical details with partners resulting in long-term solutions for your future. Ah yes. The future. I suspect it's much like the present only longer.
