The last two weeks were hairy. This week is better. (Whew!) Albeit a tad crunchy on Sunday the 26th. The Sun is now in Taurus, and on Friday the 24th, the only New Moon in Taurus all year occurs. Since each New Moon is a chance to make new resolutions, let's hustle! After all, everything in life begins with a thought or an intention, so what to we really want? Read below to see where this New Moon gives you an opportunity to improve your life. But be careful. Ever hear of the word schlimmbesserung? This is the end product of someone who tries to make things better but only makes them worse! (I dated that guy for three years.)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
In the next six weeks, your focus will swing to your earnings, cash flow, what you do to earn money, your job, and even your possessions. You'll also scrutinize how you spend money. You might have a major expenditure in mind. You're thinking a lot about money! Do take note that the New Moon on Friday the 24th is a wonderful opportunity to define within your own mind what your attitude about money really is. Is it hard to get? Is it hard to keep? Is money dirty or evil? Remember: Your attitude about something will affect the way it manifests in your life. (For the first time in my life, I've got money to burn -- and let's face it, it's cheaper than fuel.)
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
With the Sun in your sign for the next four weeks, you're empowered! Finally, it's your turn to recharge your batteries for the rest of the year. It's totally appropriate to put your own interests first now. Why? It's all about you! In particular, on Friday the 24th, during the New Moon in your sign (the only one all year), take a moment to think about how you can improve your image. (You never get a second chance to make a first impression.) Take a look in the mirror and be honest with yourself. (Maybe not totally.) Not only is this a good time to improve your image in the world, you can also improve your style of relating to partners and close friends. Try it.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
There are times when we should be out there doing things and flying our colours; and there are times when we should be planning and strategizing what we intend to do. The next month is definitely the latter in your case. Keep a low profile for the next four weeks. Work alone or behind the scenes. In about a month, your birthday will arrive, and that's when you will step out centre-stage. Ta-da! But until then, use this time to think about what you want your new year (birthday to birthday) to be. What do you want to happen in the year ahead? Choose Friday the 24th to write down some things you hope will become a reality for you.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
You're entering a popular month ahead! Everybody wants to see you, and you want to see them. Accept all invitations. This is also a great time to join clubs, groups and organizations. If you're attending conventions and conferences or general meetings, you'll be in fine form! In particular, you'll enjoy talking to younger people and vice versa. This next month is also a great time to focus on your long-term goals for the future. What are these dreams? Why live your life without guidelines of what you hope to achieve? Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
You're gonna love the next six weeks. This is the only time all year when the Sun is at high noon in your chart acting like a spotlight on you. (Ever met a piece of chocolate you didn't like?) This great lighting makes others think you're fabulous. In particular, bosses, parents, teachers and VIPs. They love you! Obviously, you can milk this for all it's worth. Present your plan. Make your pitch. Go out in full dazzle. Travel plans look great. Publishing, the media, higher education, medicine and the law are also blessed. On Friday the 24th, write down your career objectives for the next five years. Just broad strokes. (Success has three s's.)
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
You're restless. You want adventure and new experiences. You want to learn something new. You want to meet fascinating, different people. Awriiight! It's time to push the envelope. In addition, your sex drive is hot. (Woo-woo!) You feel passionate and ready for anything. (Well, you're a Virgo -- it has to be clean.) The wealth of others can benefit you now. Gifts and goodies will come your way. Let's hope this can help you travel somewhere and explore new turf. On Friday the 24th, ask yourself what further education or training you might get to improve your life and your future. Think about this.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
The next six weeks are passionate! (Don't leave home without a rose clenched between your teeth.) Think gypsy violins. Think castanets. Think paso doble. Actually, interwoven with your sexual calisthenics will be an earnest effort to sort through insurance matters, inheritances, taxes, debt and shared property. (Yawn.) Hey, this stuff has to be done. Expect intense discussions in the next few weeks. And with fiery Mars opposite your sign, these discussions will be contentious. Fortunately, you can argue like a trial lawyer. (You probably are one.) Fair Venus is also paving the way for consensus and compromise. Friday's New Moon is your chance to think about how to clean up these issues.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
With the Sun and Mercury now opposite your sign, you're focused on partnerships and close friends. Lots to think about. You can see what's positive, and what's not. Of course, there's always both because nobody's perfect. (Except your first crush when you were 13.) There are two approaches to this: You can learn more about how you relate to others (certainly valuable to know). And you can learn more about what you want from a particular relationship. The two are not the same but they can't be separated. Much of what you want from a relationship depends on your style of relating. Ever thought about this? You're part of the equation.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Suddenly, you're gung ho to get organized. "I wanna be perfect!" (Yes, this includes bedroom closets.) You want everything to be ticketyboo at work and at home. Start by decluttering. Recent studies have shown clutter is actually bad for your health. (Gee, really?) Once you've sorted through what can be discarded, recycled or given away, then buy file folders, shelving, paint, cleaning equipment or whatever you need to do a terrific job. (You're going to love yourself for this later.) While you're on this kick, think about how you can improve your health as well. Write down some of your intentions on Friday the 24th. I dare you.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
You're sure coming out on top in the next month. (Yay, me!) It's party city for Capricorns. Take a vacation if possible. (Again?) Enjoy sports, the theatre, the performance arts, social soirees and playful times with kids. This window of fun and frivolity is also fabulous time for love affairs and romance. Kiss-kiss, hug-hug. One of the reasons why you want to escape somewhere with fabulous room service is because increased conflict and chaos at home are maddening. (Quite likely due to renovations and redecorating.) But hey, when you start to look like your passport photo, you need some R&R!
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Without question, your major focus is on home, family and real-estate situations. No matter what's happening in your job, your domestic scene will take priority at this time. Mucho family discussions and lots of to-ing and fro-ing keep you hopping. Expect to be busy with home repairs. Your pace during the month ahead is busy and driven. However, despite your aggressive attack on life (you actually have to be this way to get all this done), you're also charming, debonair and always right. Take some time on Friday the 24th to write down a few goals you hope to achieve regarding family and where you live. At least, try it.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
Your sign is one of the busiest during the next six weeks. You've got things to do, places to go, people to see.
