I've heard people call Wednesday hump day because it's the middle of the week. (When you're past Wednesday - you're over the hump.) Well, this week, Wednesday is 'bump day' because two explosive planets (fiery Mars and unpredictable Uranus) will collide. (Not literally.) The fallout of this planetary event might be felt before Wednesday, and afterward as well. Mars governs our aggression, our muscles and our sexual energy. Uranus is volatile and explosive. It's tough to say what will happen, but this week will certainly be enlivening! Speaking of enlivening -- did you ever notice how many dead people come to life every day at five in the afternoon?
In many ways, this week is just fine. However, your ruler Mars is lined up with explosive Uranus. (Yikes!) Furthermore, this is taking place in a hidden, subconscious part of your chart. Because of this, you'll feel vaguely restless and impatient this week, and you might not know why. You're impatient to wait in line or wait for others. Others seem to be slow, annoying and boring. (Sometimes all at the same time!) Another thing to watch out for is a secret that is suddenly blown out of the water. Oops! Not so secret anymore! (Kinda like Warren Buffett's observation about finding out who's naked when the tide goes out. Ouch.) Patience is an exercise worth cultivating.
You're an easy going person. You're reasonable and gentle hearted. But even you have your limits. This week, friends or acquaintances might do something that absolutely shocks you. Very possibly, whatever surprises you will occur in a group situation like a class, conference, convention or meeting. This could involve someone new who is bizarre and mind blowing; or someone you already know who does something totally unexpected. You might react critically; or you might react in a completely different way. The behavior of others could inspire you to walk away from something, or change your goals, or make a break for freedom. Whatever happens, other people will definitely affect your week!
My advice to you this week is don't wake the sleeping giant. Be on your tippy-toes when you're around bosses, parents, teachers, VIPs and the police. Tread carefully! One of two things will happen -- maybe both. Authority figures might lash out at you with criticism, indignation or accusations. They're suddenly in your face. ("Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!") Either in response to this or for another reason, you might feel you've had it with them. You want to rebel against bosses and management. You resent being told what to do. You want the freedom to call your own shots. But, hey -- hold the phone! Don't quit your day job. Wait a few weeks to see if this is what you really want to do. Sleeeeep on it.
This is not a boring week. ("The sky is falling! The sky is falling!") Travel is unpredictable. Scheduled plans might be delayed or canceled; or you might suddenly have to travel somewhere. "Whaaat?" Ditto for education and classes. Your schedule will change! Similar, unpredictable events can take place in publishing, the media, medicine and the law. No matter what the details or your sphere of action -- the underlying current will be one of a desire for greater freedom and independence. Something's gotta give! You can't be smothered anymore. Your desire for "something more than this" and your resistance to the status quo affects your thinking, especially in religion or politics. Don't get your belly in a rash. No matter where you go - there you are.
Unexpected news about shared property, insurance matters, inheritances, wills, taxes, debt and the wealth of others is likely this week. There's a shift in these areas. It might be good news; it might be not so good news. You might chafe under restrictions and responsibilities that you have for others, and this feeling makes you want to rebel or be free of whatever ties you down. Alternatively, something might happen that actually does free you and give you greater independence. Privately, some of you are feeling sexually experimental -- hot and passionate! Now you know what Martha Graham meant when she said, "The body knows what words cannot."
This is definitely an explosive time for partnerships and close friendships for many of you. (Specifically, this week.) This can come about from a variety of reasons. A partner or close friend might want more freedom, more space, more independence; they might even want to break off a relationship. The flip could occur and you might feel this way. You could feel hemmed in, smothered, and caught up in something that seems to be more trouble than it's worth. You want out. Or maybe you just need more space? Another scenario might be someone close to you does something bizarre and surprising. As a result, you might be shocked or alternatively, you might feel liberated. So many possibilities!
Almost certainly, the unexpected disruptions that occur in your life this week will be related to your job and employment scene. Staff shortages, computer crashes, power outages, equipment failures, canceled appointments, and in a few cases -- canceled jobs! -- are just some of the things that can make everything go sideways this week. Alternatively, this Mars/Uranus conjunction could affect your inner dimension, and make you want to quit your job, or do something that others find amazing or a bit bizarre. Avoid working with dangerous tools, metals and sharp objects. This is an accident prone week for you at work, especially if you feel resentful and unfairly treated. Slow down. Do everything in sloooow motion.
Parents and caregivers should be aware this week is an accident prone time for your children or children in your care. Forewarned is forearmed. Strive to be calmer, more patient, and more easy-going with children. Allow extra time for everything. Don't be hasty. Don't give into anger and impatience. These are all things that contribute to an accident prone situation. Romance might be rocky or completely exciting! Singles might meet someone breathtakingly different and thrilling. For that matter, those of you in partnerships might also meet someone breathtakingly captivating. Just remember: this is a short-lived fling. Don't blow something serious for a mere bonbon.
The surprises that enter your world this week are related to home, family and your domestic scene. They might also involve real estate dealings. Something bizarre and unexpected will happen at home. Be careful about faulty wiring, fire, and home accidents. Small appliances could break down. Computers could crash; technology can backfire. Power outages are likely. These same unpredictable events could impact domestic relationships or people who visit your home. Domestic arguments might occur if somebody's freedom is threatened. Try to weather this week with humour and grace. The following week is completely different! Don't make a big deal about anything.
This is an accident prone week for you. Be careful walking, jogging, and driving. However, this doesn't mean a meteorite is going to fall from the sky on your car. The accidents you might encounter are actually avoidable. What makes this week accident prone is your tendency to be rash, or to act too quickly, or do something without thinking. If you can guard your behavior, and give everything a sober, second thought - you'll be fine. Count on meeting new people who are probably a bit unusual. Relations with siblings might be testy. Think before you speak unless you want to do exotic yoga positions where you have to pull your foot out of your mouth.
Expect a few money surprises this week. Something related to your salary or your income or your job might catch you off guard, or surprise you in some way. This might be great! Unexpected opportunities to be self-employed or new sources of income could fall in your lap. Of course, the opposite could occur as well. Be aware of your cash: you might find money; you might lose money. Stay in touch with your bank account. Guard against loss or breakage of your possessions. You might purchase modern art or high tech stuff. You might also buy something daring and unusual that allows you to assert your individuality. "Voici! C'est moi!" However, watch your pennies. According to Dolly Parton, "You'd be surprised how much it costs to look this cheap."
Avoid rash behavior this week! You're a sensitive person; and when you feel overwhelmed, misunderstood or unappreciated, you easily fall into victim mode. Wa, wa, wa. When this happens you might lash out. (Doesn't have to happen -- but it could.) This is never a good idea because aside from the stress and angst of undergoing these emotions, their sudden release can make you accident prone. Please know this: you don't have to have an accident. Or to put it another way, an accident does not have to occur. The kind of accident that threatens you is based on distraction, carelessness or recklessness due to your emotions. Therefore, if you think you're losing it -- stop and take 11 breaths. Count them. It only takes 51 seconds.
