All Signs

This week there's a Full Moon on Tuesday the 14th and it's in Aries. (Gulp.) Everybody will be telling everybody else where to get off! No question. On Wednesday, retrograde Mercury finally stops; nevertheless, it doesn't regain its lost ground until Nov. 1. Things will get better, but we're still behind the eight ball for the rest of the month vis-à-vis starting important projects or shopping for ground transportation. Do be careful about tension building up before Tuesday's Full Moon. Expect bickering and fighting. Oy vey. Just remember: it's always darkest before it gets pitch black.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

The only Full Moon in your sign all year is on Tuesday. This is a sure sign of tension with partners and close friends for several days ahead of time. Some books say Full Moon tension lasts for about five days. Perhaps. But it definitely builds up several days before the Full Moon peaks. All you can do is be aware of this. And in this awareness, be scrupulous. Did you know the origin of the word scruples means "to hesitate?" In other words, a scrupulous individual thinks before she acts or speaks. You're spontaneous! You blurt out ideas with enthusiasm. Pick and choose your times with wisdom this week. Pretend you're a Capricorn. (Dress conservatively and be hot in bed!)

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

This week Mercury retrograde is technically over, but it's not really over until the fat lady sings on November 1. Why? Because that's when Mercury recovers its lost ground and finally returns to the degree it was at when it first started going backwards. (Of course, Mercury never goes backwards; it always goes forwards. This is simply relative to planet Earth.) Nevertheless, things will get better at work. Expect fewer screw ups and confused communications. Be gentle with yourself and others this weekend as the Full Moon in Aries approaches on Tuesday the 14th. It will make you feel restless and nervous or out of sorts. This might last for a few days. Do whatever you do to steady your nerves.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Tuesday's Full Moon definitely creates tension with you and others. You might feel others are attacking you or making fun of you or choosing not to cooperate. (The swine!) And this well may be the case. However, there's a strong likelihood that it is your perception of things. The Moon can be tricky; and the Full Moon is the trickiest of all. For example, when you look at the Moon it looks like it has light. But it doesn't. It's only reflecting the light of the Sun. It's very much a now-you-see-it-now-you-don't-thang. And yet it has a gravitational pull on bodies of water. How weird is that? Be cool. Be patient with others. You don't want to end up with egg on your face.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Because the Moon is your ruler, you feel the Full Moon. This one is a doozy because it's at the top of your chart. Before it peaks on Tuesday, it will create tension between yourself and authority figures (your boss, parent, teacher or any other authority figure in your life, including the police.) In fact, it might even introduce a general tension into your life by making you feel pulled between the demands of home and the demands of job and career. Whatever happens right now, you cannot ignore your home, your family and your real estate scene. Both the Sun and Mercury demand your attention in these areas. If others want your time -- tell them you'll respond later.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Be extra careful this week. Although the Full Moon occurs in your fellow Fire Sign Aries, it can make you accident prone, especially as tension builds up before it peaks on Tuesday the 14th. Therefore, tread carefully! You'll definitely be tempted to argue with others, especially siblings and relatives. Even if it against your better wishes, you'll find yourself wanting the first word or the last word. (This makes you wince.) You might also be unusually competitive with others; or you'll want to convince them to agree with you because you're right. (But of course you're right. You're a Leo!)

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Your financial scene will improve because retrograde Mercury has stopped going backwards. You can breathe a sigh of relief because there will be fewer lost cheques, bounced cheques, and silly errors related to your work, cash flow, banking and even shopping. Nevertheless, the Full Moon on Tuesday the 14th indicates you have tension and stress related to juggling the finances of others, especially partners and your own finances. This could relate to shared property as well as your own earnings and cash flow. Something will likely come to a head. Just deal with it. However, be gentle because Mars is making you unusually aggressive in your negotiations. Fortunately, Venus is also present smoothing over all the rough spots. (You gotta love that gal - arms or no arms.)

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You'll certainly feel the build up of tension before Tuesday's Full Moon because this is the only Full Moon directly opposite your sign all year. In fact, because every Full Moon is an opposition of the Sun and Moon -- you're part of the formula! This explains why you feel irritable, demanding, exasperated, frustrated (there's more but you can fill in the blanks) with partners and close friends. "I blow my nose at you! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of Elderberry." Be patient with others because that's the only way to maintain some sense of harmony, and harmony in your surroundings is important to your entire sense of well-being. You know this.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Continue to work behind the scenes or work alone if you can. It will be very difficult for you to get the proper credit for the work you do. Be aware of this. Nevertheless, because both Venus and Mars are in your sign, you're unusually assertive, confident and at the same time charming and diplomatic. Killer combo! You can get away with anything and people will thank you for it! Tension at work or with coworkers is possible because of Tuesday's Full Moon. Just make the best of this. One comforting fact is after that Full Moon peaks on Tuesday, much of this conflict will fade and perhaps entirely disappear by the end of the week. ("That's amazing. It was here just a moment ago. Where did it go?")

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Tread carefully with members of groups, friends and acquaintances because the Full Moon on Tuesday definitely aggravates your relationships with these people. It causes problems not only on the day of the Full Moon but more especially on the several days preceding it, because as the Full Moon builds, so do your problems. The good news is that after the Full Moon peaks and begins to wane, likewise your problems will diminish or disappear in a few days. Therefore, refrain from extreme actions with others at work. Don't fire anyone. Don't quit your day job. Don't drop a client. By the end of the week things look differently. ("Hmmm, more leaves have fallen.")

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Domestic tension and conflict will be building up this weekend until Tuesday the 14th when the Full Moon peaks. This is the only Full Moon all year that really hits you in your home and private life. You might be tempted to be short with family members. Don't do this life. It is so much easier when soft words and courtesy are used with family members. I'm not kidding. Try it and you'll see the difference. I especially like it with a little mango chutney on the side. It's hard to juggle career and job versus home and family now because you cannot ignore your career and your job. Factoid. Friends and groups are a marvelous diversion this week. Enjoy yourself.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You'd rather be anywhere but here. You want to travel and explore more of the world or lose yourself in books, movies and film. You're eager for adventure, you want a change of scenery, and you want to learn more about everything! Ironically, as feelings of eagerness and anxiety build up before Tuesday's Full Moon, these feelings actually increase. Now you really want to blow town. "Two tracks, ten wheels, I'm outta here!" You'll be excited about something at the beginning of this week. But by the end of the week, you'll calm down a lot. For one thing, you're very ambitious right now and relations with bosses and authority figures are great. You've got a lot on your plate.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Everything to do with shared property, the wealth and earnings of your partner, and the responsibilities you have for the possessions and wealth of others continues to be a primary consideration for you. However, something seems to be coming to a head right now because the Full Moon on Tuesday the 14th really polarizes matters for you. But that's not all. Another area of increased emotions and probably anxiety and tension is your sex life. ("Sex life? You gotta be kidding! What sex life?") Every Full Moon places you in a position where you're torn between pleasing yourself versus pleasing others. I rest my handbag.
