All Signs
Some interesting observations: Pluto rules nations and has a cycle of about 250 years. In November, Pluto will enter Capricorn, where it stays until 2025. The last time Pluto entered Capricorn was in the 1760s. Therefore, this last cycle of Pluto in Capricorn encompasses the history of the United States. Verrrry interesting. This presidential election marks the second major cycle for the US (in terms of Pluto). In addition, on November 4 (the day of the US election) Saturn will oppose Uranus. Saturn rules the government and represents the status quo. Uranus rules everything that's reactionary, rebellious and a break for freedom. Verrrry interesting. (Isn't it a shame that 95 per cent of the politicians give the other five per cent a bad name?)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
There's no question that many of you are dealing with old partners and ex-spouses now. (Run away! Run away!) Actually, this could be a time of meaningful closure or just closure that's relatively meaningless. Conflict with partners is also likely because Mars is opposite your sign (along with retrograde Mercury and the Sun). Since anger serves no purpose other than to make everyone miserable, zip thy lip. Don't make things worse than they are. You can't really change people. Cultivate contentment. (It's possible! I tried it one Tuesday afternoon in 1987 and it felt good.) The upside of this planetary mish-mash is that you can learn a lot about your style of relating to partners. (But can you handle the truth?)
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
You're pulling out all the stops now because you're determined to get better organized. In addition to which, you have lots of energy to work because you want to become more efficient and more effective in everything you do. You want to see ticketyboo in action! You want a home for everything. (No floaters please: the scissors live there!) However, retrograde Mercury will cause delays, confused communications, cancelled appointments, lost papers, and staff shortages at work. Nevertheless, all is not lost. Retrograde Mercury will actually help you to finish ongoing projects. Mercury retrograde is not a complete threat. It's just a lot of hangnail annoyances combined with opportunities to finish old business.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Old flames are back in your life again. This could be thrilling or scary depending on your past. We all have old flames that are exciting to bump into again; and we also have moments where we're hiding behind a row of canned goods plotting how to get out of the store without being seen. (Cloooose call. Whew!) Nevertheless, you feel playful, prankish, flirtatious and ready for fun! Romance can flourish. Social diversions are entertaining. But previous problems related to children will need to be addressed. ("What do you mean they're hungry? I just fed them yesterday!") Creative projects can flourish now. Let your juices flow.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
The next six weeks are full of thumbsucking, familiar memories as well as a strong focus on home, family and real estate. It's all stuff you're comfortable with. (It's a "nesty" business.) Conversations with parents might be significant. Old business and matters from the past are back again for family discussion. Perhaps even relatives you haven't seen for awhile are back on your doorstep. Family is a funny thing: it's wonderful to see them arrive, and it's wonderful to see them leave. So say we all. Renovations and guests create chaos at home. It's probably all too much. Seek out quiet moments of solitude. (Keep your crossword in the bathroom.)
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
The next six weeks could be problematic in terms of accidents, delays in communication (lost cell phones), transportation delays and misunderstandings in most of your daily, casual conversations. (Dontcha love it?) You're unusually assertive and aggressive in all your communications now, so make sure you know what you're talking about before you go off the deep end. In truth, you do have to watch this. Because you are more energetic and focused, you're willing to run with something or really drive your point home. However, the error factor in your daily activities and communications is very high this month. Dangerous combo. It's like running with scissors.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
You're very concerned with cash flow, earnings and major expenditures right now. You've got money to burn! (You wish.) Retrograde Mercury will cause cheques in the mail to be late, and create all kinds of delays and confusion that frustrate you. However, Mercury retrograde will also facilitate the return of old money-making opportunities. You might get hired where you applied once before. Or you can more easily close financial negotiations now because things from the past can get wrapped up more quickly. On the whole, your ability to negotiate things to your favour is excellent now. (Venus is on your shoulder.)
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
The Sun, Mars and retrograde Mercury are all in your sign now. The good news is it's your turn to howl! When the Sun is in your sign it's time to recharge your batteries for the rest of the year because it's all about you! Furthermore, you will tend to attract important people and favourable opportunities to you. But this year, retrograde Mercury is sitting there as well, forcing you to deal with ex-partnerships and, frankly, a lot of unfinished business from your past. But it's nothing you can't handle. (Especially if you're wearing gloves.) Meanwhile, money-making opportunities are at hand; and you're buying beautiful things for yourself and loved ones.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Everything has its season. In the month ahead, you are best-served by taking a backseat and working on the sidelines or, better yet, working alone. For one thing, it will be difficult to get credit for what you do if you work with others. Secondly, because your personal year is going to start in a month (birthday to birthday) you need time to think about it ahead of time and do some planning. What do you want your new year to be all about? How do you want it to be different from last year? (Surely you want more sex, money, peace of mind or piece of real estate -- something?) Fair Venus is in your sign now so this is a great time to shop for wardrobe items. You love what you see in the mirror. Kiss-kiss, hug-hug.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
You're popular! In the next six weeks, everyone wants to see your face. Clubs, groups, conferences, conventions and organizations demand your time. On top of that, old friends are back on the scene again. This is probably a good thing because it's nice to have history with people. (Excluding bad history.) Physical activities are also a big draw right now -- sports and outdoor hobbies. However, you might be on bad terms with someone. The friction is just too prickly. Hopefully, your easy-going, breezy style will pave the way to better understanding. On the other hand, someone who's a jerk is not worth your time.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Woo-hoo! There's a gaggle of planets at high noon in your chart. Mars makes you super-ambitious right now. (Dare we say ruthless?) The Sun, of course, shines down on you like a spotlight making everyone notice you, especially bosses, parents and VIPs. But more than that, it casts you in a favourable light so that everybody thinks you're hot stuff. (Like the Magic hour: good lighting is everything.) Nevertheless, nothing is perfect. Mercury retrograde is also looking down from on high stirring up old business with parents and bosses. Oh well, it's a good time to finish this stuff. Fair Venus promotes friendships in a loving way. This you will enjoy.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
It's time to get outta Dodge. You need fresh air and a change of scenery because you're overdue for adventure or something exciting, risky and possibly even dangerous (not too dangerous) to happen. If you can travel anywhere in the next six weeks -- do it, in a heartbeat. You'll enjoy different faces and places. However, with Mercury retrograde on the scene, allow extra time for everything: expect cancellations and delays. Travel someplace you've been to before. This month is perfect for finishing projects with publishing, higher education, the media, medicine and the law. Your ability to study is excellent. Romance with a boss or someone older or richer is possible. (Best labour-saving device is a rich partner.)
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
This is an intense time for you. You feel intense. Your relations with others are intense. People are looking at you intensely, and you're staring intensely back at them. You're very intense about sex and romance. And you're equally intense when it comes to discussions about shared property, insurance matters, wills, taxes and debt. (You never know people intensely until you have to split an inheritance with them.) A lot of this is old business back on the table again -- and it's intense. Fortunately, your appreciation of beauty is also very intense. (If you're reading this out loud to someone please clarify that it is not in tents.)
