All Signs
Batten down the hatches! That crazy time of silly, little errors, mixed-up communications, and transportation delays is upon us. Mercury is already slowing down until it reaches its stationary stage on Monday the 26th. (This is all relative to planet Earth.) Although Mercury technically goes direct on June 19, the entire month of June will be wonky (and a poor time to buy transportation). Not until July 4 will we have fully recovered. (Gasp.) But these times are not all bad. It is an excellent time to finish old projects, and wrap up what is already begun. Ex-partners will resurface. I say, look hot because living well is the best revenge. (Of course, the main cause of divorce is marriage.)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
It's a time of mixed-up communications, transportation delays, errors and confusion. This particular Mercury retrograde will hit your sign harder than usual because it's happening right where Mercury lives. Therefore, protect yourself as much as possible. Pay your phone bill. Pay your electricity bill. Stay on top of car or truck repairs. Get your bus pass. Think ahead and try to circumvent anything that will impede your physical progress and your ability to communicate to others. Charge your cell phone regularly. Old business with siblings and relatives will be back in your lap. Writers, teachers, and editors can more easily finish their work. (Don't leave home without your decoder.)
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Your focus will now turn to all things financial. You're comfortable with this because you are the banker of the zodiac. You're a financial wizard! The next six weeks are the perfect time to wrap up financial matters that have been dragging on. Focus on cash flow. Previous opportunities to earn money might resurface once again. ("We want you, and our offer is still open.") You might also make major purchases you've been contemplating for a while. (Avoid transportation items; even computer-related stuff is dicey while Mercury is retrograde.) Take stock of your assets. You're on solid ground because both Jupiter and Saturn are in Earth signs this year.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Happy birthday! It's your turn to recharge your batteries for the rest of the year. It's also your turn to put yourself first to make the most of all the opportunities coming your way. (When the Sun is in your sign, it attracts important people and opportunities to you.) However, this year during your birthday, your ruler Mercury will be retrograde. (Gulp.) The last time this happened was 2002. Go easy on yourself. Life will be frustrating because you'll forget things or misplace them or need extra time to do things. Silly, goofy errors will dog your steps. Ex-partners could be back in the picture. Mercury retrograde in your own sign makes you feel like you're losing your grip on reality. But, of course, you're not. Reality is losing its grip on you.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
This is a curious time for you. The Sun and Venus are in a hidden part of your chart; and Mercury retrograde will also occur in that same hidden part. ("Is that you, Igor?") This means stuff is going on behind the scenes that people are not aware of, but of course, you are. However, even you might not be aware of things taking place at a subconscious level. You might doubt yourself or feel like you're not on sure ground. It's all a bit unsettling. Don't worry about this because it will pass quickly (especially if you drink a lot of water). Instead, make plans for your future. What do you want your new year to hold? (From birthday to birthday.) One thing is certain: you're earning money and spending it this month! Ka-ching!
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Its a popular month. Your adoring fans are full of applause cheering you on as you attempt to create world peace before bedtime because fiery Mars is now in your sign. You can do anything! Your confidence is stronger than it's been since the last time it was this strong. (Hmmm, when was that?) Interactions with younger people and artistic types will delight you. Everyone wants to see your face. You're full of energy and enthusiasm. You're exercising more. This is the best time all year for you to formulate your long-term goals, and decide how you can make your dreams a reality. Old friends are back in your life. Hopefully, they owe you money.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Once again, the Sun is at high noon in your chart acting like a spotlight on you. Others notice you, especially important people -- parents, teachers, bosses and VIPs. (This also includes the police so buckle up and don't speed.) Some of you will have a second chance at a major career decision or taking a different job. Others will be in contact with old bosses. (Old bosses could be young; this just means they were your cute little boss before.) You're also into some secret activity. You're doing stuff you're not telling anyone about. One possibility could be a romance with your boss or someone older or more established than you. This could be promising because the best labour-saving device is a rich spouse.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Travel, adventure, opportunities to learn new things, new schools and classes plus funky, interesting people are just some of the reasons you're hyped about everything! You're eager to push the boundaries of your experience of the world. You want more out of life! Previous opportunities to travel or learn something could reappear. However, prepare for delays and silly, goofy mistakes with publishing, the postal services, the media, colleges and universities, medicine and the law. You can definitely finish a lot of projects now. And that's the good news. However, if travelling, allow extra time for snafus. Double-check all reservations. Try to carry on your luggage.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Fiery Mars, your ancient ruler and the planet that governs aggression, war and your muscles, is at the top of your chart arousing your ambition to the max. "To the Moon, Alice!" In addition, you feel unusually passionate about everything right now. Naturally, this guarantees great sex, which is certainly the most fun you can have with your eyes closed. But it also means you feel passionately about everything in your life. In particular, you'll be wrapping up old business about shared property, debt, loans, taxes, mortgages, inheritances and insurance matters. All the fun stuff. Decisions regarding these areas should come out in your favour because Venus will help you; and Mars at the top of your chart makes you help yourself!
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
You're definitely focused on partnerships, close friendships and major clients at this time in your life. A lot of it is good; a lot of it is frustrating. Sagittarians will encounter ex-partners now and in the month ahead. It's an excellent opportunity for closure or for wrapping up loose ends. Because Venus is also opposing your sign right now, this will help to ameliorate and smooth over rough edges. (Venus is the cookie in your chart.) Meanwhile, back at the airport, many of you want to get outta Dodge. You want to travel and have adventure! You're also exploring publishing, education, medicine and the law. Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
The signs hardest hit by this Mercury retrograde are Capricorn, Aries and Gemini. In your case, it's because this particular Mercury retrograde targets your work place. "Agghh! It's already insanely dysfunctional!" Well, you ain't seen nothing yet. Cheques will be late in the mail; messages will disappear into the ether; appointments will be late and missed altogether; expect staff shortages, mixed up communications, lost papers, and delays in everything! Fortunately, Mercury retrograde snafus are just minor things -- but enough to make you want to pull your hair out. But it's nothing you can't handle. Hey -- no pain, no gain. Right? This is all character-building.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
The last time that Mercury retrograde was capable of conjuring up ex-lovers and old flames was 2002. (Ahem.) This is something you might recall. We all have someone in our past who still makes our heart go pitter patter. In fact, because Mars now opposes your sign, (an indication of tension with partnerships) and Mercury retrograde, Venus in the Sun are taking place in your House of Romance, some of you might be flirting a bit too much! Mucho partying and fun stuff could create tension with partners. Just remember: Don't blow your steady meal ticket for a mere bonbon. Duh?
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
You have decided it's time to roll up your sleeves and get things done. You're definitely in work mode. You want everything to be organized and shipshape and you're not afraid to delegate to get the results you want. It's a good thing you're working hard because relatives are probably camped on your doorstep. Stock the fridge. Family you haven't even heard of want to sleep on your couch. Family reunions, home entertaining as well as renovations and home decorating keep you busy. But you'll love it. You're a marvellous host and, frankly, you enjoy a busy household. (Just not all the time.)
