All Signs
Whether it's an illusion or reality (let's not open that philosophical can of goodies) this week we have a sense of moving forward because the Sun moves from Aquarius into Pisces, and Mercury goes direct. Yay! However, this takes place in a squeeze play right before Wednesday's Full Moon in Virgo, giving us the feeling we're running to catch a train or plane or Superman! Yes, there's a forward momentum and a shift of focus, but it all takes place as problems seem to intensify before the Full Moon. Rats! After the Full Moon, all the hard edges start to soften. If life is still too busy - throw away your cell and settle for the peace and quiet of a phoneless cord. (I've got mine.)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Once a year, when the Sun enters Pisces, it also enters an obscure part of your chart but for a good reason. This is the month just before your birthday. That makes this the perfect time to lie low and ponder what you want your new year to hold. It's particularly important to do this now because lucky Jupiter will be sitting at the top of your chart for all of 2008 (which happens only once every 12 years.) Jupiter makes you look great in the eyes of others, especially bosses, parents and VIPs. It attracts opportunities and chances to be successful. Promotions and travel are likely. Since this is one of the few times in your life when you're really in touch with what you can do -- make plans!
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
My, my. You're entering one of the most popular six weeks of the year for your sign. Don't hide at home. Get dressed. Get out and schmooze! Join clubs, gyms, organizations, classes and groups. Talk to others. Share your dreams about your future goals with them. You'll be surprised at how helpful their feedback will be. This is the perfect time to enjoy yukking it up with others, and also to have serious discussions about money, real estate, antiques, collectibles and food. All important topics. Let's not forget sex. Enjoy the company of others, especially with good food, good drink and good times.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
This week the Sun moves to high noon in your chart which creates the effect of putting you in the limelight. Everyone notices you more than usual, especially bosses, parents, teachers and VIPs. (People who have influence over your life. People who know where you sleep and how much you earn.) The neat thing is the Sun tends to make you look rosy and wonderful. ("This is lighting is fantastic!") Therefore, others are impressed with you even if you don't do anything special. Does this sound like a situation worth milking? I think so. Go after what you want. Make a pitch for whatever your heart desires. You'll probably get it.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Cancers tend to travel for business or family. (You don't go to Philadelphia just because "it's there." You would have to have family in Philadelphia.) Nevertheless, in the next six weeks, many of you will travel more than usual because you're seeking adventure, and hungry to learn something new. Anything to do with publishing, the media, higher education, dealing with foreign countries, medicine and the law will also get a big boost of energy and attention. You're looking in the mirror wondering how to give your life more pizzazz. ("Surely there's more to it all than this?") And there is! ("I want one of those drinks with tiny pink parasols.")
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
This week ushers in a more intense, passionate time for your sign. No longer will you be satisfied with cursory explanations or Band-Aid solutions, or just thinking about sex. Now you want the nitty-gritty real deal! You don't want to read about life, or watch it on screen -- you want to live! Especially if the most exciting thing you've experienced lately is a pat-down at the airport. ("Omigawd, did you see that wand?") Explore your passions! Life is short and you're not getting any younger. In a more mundane vein (other arm) deal with issues related to insurance matters, inheritances, wills, taxes and debt. Just do it - then it's done.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
The Sun will be sitting directly opposite your sign for the next month. This has the effect of making you very aware of close friends and partners. Because this takes place about six months after your birthday, it often signifies a time when things in your life are reaching a climax. No doubt, as this happens, you'll feel opposition from others, especially authority figures. Some of you might encounter failure. (Chalk it up to experience.) Basically, you have to learn how to incorporate your successes into your personal life. You've been conducting this thing -- and now it looks like it's here to stay, which means what are you going to do with it? It's a reality check.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
You love a wonderful ambience and an interesting wardrobe. You like funky, beautiful things. But you're no slouch. You work hard to create your pleasing decor. Now is the time to put your nose to the proverbial grindstone. You'll find it easy to do during the next six week simply because you're motivated. You want to get better organized. You want to get rid of stuff you don't need anymore. ("What is this?") You want to streamline, downsize and de-clutter your life. Go through drawers, cupboards, attics, garages, crawl spaces, lockers, porches and carports. Turf and recycle what you don't need. Organize your paper work. Buy shelving, file folders, cleaning equipment and paint. Do it up right!
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Lucky you! As the Sun changes signs this week, it introduces a wonderful six week period for you to play, flirt, escape on vacation, party, explore the arts and just generally have a wonderful time. After all, you can't keep up this insane pace of working forever. Right? And anyhow, you're one of the most playful signs in the zodiac. That's why when it comes to lining up for rewards, fun and games -- you're there! Playful activities with children will also delight. You'll feel lighter and happier. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to do exactly what you want as much as possible. Is that so hard? I think not.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Now your attention turns to home, family and your domestic needs. In the next six weeks, many of you will be more involved with decorating, renovating, family reunions, important family discussions, dealing with parents and yes, perhaps even - ta da! -- family interventions. It's all about your private life now. Real estate will also be a primary focus for many of you. Fiery Mars has been sitting opposite your sign for too long, causing increased conflict in partnerships and close friendships. Fortunately, Venus will soon soften these exchanges. (But it's been tiring.) Enjoy some private downtime in front of the boob tube or with a good book. Sneak a little junk food. Crunch, crunch.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
The tempo of your days will definitely accelerate during the next six weeks. You've got places to go, people to see, things to do. Busy, busy, busy! Not only are you tackling errands, wheeling and dealing, doing negotiations, buying and selling, taking short trips -- you're also talking to everyone! Plus some of you reading, writing and studying more than usual as well. (I'm exhausted just writing about this.)Whatever you're doing -- look your best. Appearances count and you know it. It's the year of the Earth Mouse (or Rat) - and you intend to make a fabulous impression. Since you're out there flying your colours -- do it right.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Hopefully, you feel more energized and more focused with the Sun having been in your sign for the last four weeks. Now your attention will shift to money, earnings, possessions, investments and your self-image in general. You definitely want to earn more money. Of that there is no doubt. The support from a partnership and other external sources could be dwindling. (This has nothing to do with your own earnings.) Nevertheless, when things throw you back on your own resources -- you pay attention. You want greater control of your life through the things that you own and value. You want to make it all work better. And you want to work smarter. Oh yeah.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
On Sunday the 18th, the Sun enters your sign where it will stay until the 20th of next month. It's your turn to shine, baby! It's all about you now. This is your opportunity to replenish, re-energize, and restore yourself. Not only that, because the Sun is in your sign, you'll attract all kinds of people and opportunities to you. Like a magnet! Naturally, this is a time of beginnings. You have a new year ahead of you. Whatever you begin now will tend to ride the crest of this fresh energy. It's time to assert yourself about what you want. You have a strong need to express yourself. Don't deny this. You might also have a strong need to buy some wonderful shoes. Don't deny that either.
