This is an overview of 2008. Nevertheless, get ready for Mercury to go retrograde this month. By the 23rd, it slows down and finally goes retrograde on the 29th. This is over on Feb 18th, however, Mercury is still traveling slow (relative to planet Earth) and won't pick up speed until the end of February. Expect delays, confusion, lost items, mixed-up communications and transportation problems. February is a poor time to buy cars truck and bikes, but an ideal time to finish old business. When sweeping the floor, take care of the corners because the middle will always take care of itself.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
This is a highly productive year! And it will be successful as well. For starters, you're busting your buns! At times, you'll feel overwhelmed by how much you have to do. Nevertheless, keep your nose to the grindstone (how could anyone work in that position?) because this is the year where you can really promote your profession and your career. All kinds of opportunities will come to you! You might travel more for work. Your work might change to something related to medicine, the law, education, publishing, and media or travel itself. You can really make a name for yourself in 2008.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Although many of you will have increased responsibilities with children, down deep, you're wondering what you really want to be when you grow up. This is a great year for writers! (Shakespeare was a Taurus.) Everything to do with publishing and the media looks fabulous. It's also a wonderful year for anything to do with education. Sign up for a course. Go back to school. You're eager to expand your experience of life. However, you might also do this though travel. Travel can teach you so much. (If you're going to England, bring food.) Your interest in philosophy, metaphysics and religion will deepen. (Learn to spell Kierkegaard.)
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
At this point in your life, you're keen to establish a solid home for yourself. You need an anchor in the world -- a base of operations. Fortunately, you couldn't pick a better time to go for a loan or a mortgage. That's because this year and even into 2009, you benefit from the wealth of others. Geminis will get inheritances, gifts, the use of other people's things, favours and property. If you're in a partnership, your partner will make more money, and you'll indirectly benefit. (Or directly, if you go through their pockets at night.) This is also a time of healing for your sign. In other words, the universe owes you a gift. Consider yourself lucky. Say thank you!
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Most Cancers are looking at a tenuous situation with respect to where you live and where you work. Something is going to change here either this year or next year. Many of you will change residences; others will change jobs. Some will do both. Fortunately, someone is ready to help you! 2008 is a fabulous year for partnerships. Casual friendships could become committed. Existing partnerships will become more joyful and somehow be more enriched both literally and figuratively. If you marry this year, you'll marry someone older and richer. It's a good year to consult experts and professionals, since you so easily benefit from the help of others. All your relationships will be more successful and happier. Gosh. That's sweet.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
You're going to become more focused on your earning power, your spending power, and how you can best use what you already own. You're wondering how you should earn money. Job change? Professional change? Work smarter or work harder? One thing is certain. Your job is going to fabulously improve this year and next. If your job doesn't improve, then you'll change jobs. If you hate your boss -- the boss will leave. No matter what you do for a living, your work will be more enriching and fulfilling. Many will get a promotion. Plus, your health will improve! This probably won't happen magically. You'll start this year with all kinds of health related resolutions. (No scotch before noon.)
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
All the fun stuff is reserved for you, dear Virgo. (Mom always liked you best.) This is an exciting time for you because you're setting off on a new 30 year cycle of change and growth. Some of you are actually changing your daily wardrobe this year. You might undergo changes in your physical appearance and your personality as well. But the fun stuff is love affairs, romance and all kinds of social, entertaining locations will get a major boost in 2008. True love at last! Count on taking a vacation. Work and relations with children will be rewarding. Anything to do with show business, the entertainment world, and the hospitality industry plus sports will shine! Smoochie boochies!
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
You're going to organize your home and where you live in such a fabulous way, you'll be so pleased with yourself, you'll be smug. To begin with, you're going through a process of letting go of things. You're giving up people, places, possessions as well as attitudes and beliefs. This process will go on for the next two years. You're lightening up; and letting go of whatever you no longer need. Once you have decluttered your home space, then the fun part begins. That's when you'll start to buy things and rearrange furniture and implement wonderful ideas to beautify and make your home look more attractive. This really turns you on! In addition -- family relations will be happy and joyful in 2008.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Brace yourself, Ethel. (No, this is not Scottish foreplay.) You have a busy, busy year ahead! Short trips, wheeling and dealing, running around doing errands, buying and selling, schmoozing with everyone will keep you on the run. Expect to meet new faces and new contacts. Lots! You'll be learning many new things and quite likely getting advanced training in something. Your relations with siblings and relatives will improve. But the big thing is that your mindset will undergo a shift now. For whatever reason (you know who you are) you're happier and more optimistic in 2008. Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
This will bring a smile to your puss. In 2008, you're going to make more money. You have lots more moneymaking ideas! That's why you'll earn more, and that's also why you'll spend more as well. Your assets will increase. But here's the tricky part: Freedom is a survival issue for you. You gotta be mobile. Therefore, you can't have too much stuff to lug around, right? Fortunately, what you really will attract to you is what you most value. In other words, that's what you'll actualize or manifest in your life. Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
2008 is the beginning of a new 12 year cycle of growth. This is an exciting time. People and resources will easily come to you now. This is one of the reasons you will succeed very easily at whatever you do. You can expect to be lucky in relationships. In fact, your life in general makes a lovely shift. Now is the time to discover who you really are. All of you will develop increased poise and self-confidence. You feel good about being you! You sense this is a time of preparation for something bigger which is about to come in a few years -- and you're right. You're getting ready for the big time. Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
You are starting this year off a little bit low key. You're overwhelmed by other things and working behind the scenes a lot. Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
What a popular year, dear Pisces! Everyone wants to see you. Many of you will join classes, groups, clubs and organizations. Your friendships will be enriched. You'll also make new friends. All these new contacts will help you in some way; and also, you will help them. (It works both ways.) Get out and work and socialize with others. This is not a time to go it alone.
