All Signs
This month three major planets changed direction: Pluto and Jupiter went retrograde; and Saturn went direct (forward). When a planet changes direction (relative to planet Earth), it slows down, then "idles" as it slowly picks up speed again after changing direction. This is called stationing; and stationing is very powerful. It's like the difference between a glance and a stare. During 2007-08, Jupiter and Saturn meet eight times at a 120 degrees angle. (This is called a trine.) This week the second of these 'trines' takes place. (The first was March 16.) This is good news! When these two planets work together, it helps us. And the benefit will be felt for weeks or even months. Naturally, we have to do something to use this helpful influence. In other words, if there's no wind - row! (And pay attention to to details.)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
This is definitely a time when you can do something to act on your aspirations. Saturn has been urging you to be realistic and effective relating to children; but beyond that, Saturn wants you to give form to your creative expression. The beautiful trine between Jupiter and Saturn (see above) somehow gives you opportunities in the media or publishing to do what you want to do. It might also give you travel opportunities to expand what you want to do. And you might also have a chance to get more education or training to do what you want to do. In other words, Jupiter is helping you to fulfill Saturn's mandate. Reach out and grab these opportunities.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
For some time now, you have been trying to improve, renovate, redecorate or do something to give yourself the home you want. Some of you have moved; some are building; but all of you are focused on creating a solid home base. This is an ongoing thing for you this year. Now moneybags Jupiter comes into the picture. It's stirring up support --primarily financial, but also practical. This support could manifest in the form of loans, mortgages, assistance of any kind, inheritances and resources that are suddenly available to you. The universe is ready to help you now, in a way that can fulfill your original goal which is to create a solid home base for yourself. Isn't it nice how it all works together? (Of course life is what happens while you're making plans.)
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
For the last two years, Saturn has been urging you to do go with the flow, especially with respect to changing jobs and residential moves. For many of you, it's been very loosey-goosey. You don't know what's going to happen next. You only know you're in a state of flux. Don't worry. This is as it should be. Ever since 2001, you've been creating a new you. The loosey-goosey changes that are going on now are meant to hone and refine your mind and your style of communicating. These are the last, finishing touches on the 'new you'. Therefore, your daily milieu has to change. Familiar habit patterns will fade away. New friends and partners are helping you make these changes. You're starting to believe in yourself! It's all good.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
This continues to be a popular time for you; however, the Full Moon this week creates tension between lovers and friends or your responsibilities to children versus another group. But in the bigger picture, both Saturn and Jupiter are lined up to help you find the right kind of job, or improve the job you currently have. This Jupiter/Saturn influence will address your concerns about how you're going to earn money. It gives you the best opportunities to maximize your chances to have a job you like, that pays you decently. Travel, education, publishing and the media are pretty hot right now. You need a change of scenery!
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
With the Sun and Mercury high in your chart, you're talking to everyone; and everyone is talking to you. Bosses, parents and VIPs notice you. Mars still amps your sex drive. (Been there. Done that. Let's do it again.) Fair Venus is encouraging good times with friends. (Some very sweet connections.) But the major influence - the Jupiter/Saturn thang - brings wonderful opportunities to explore romantic connections, and socialize with new people, and work with children or the arts. All these fun opportunities help to shape you as Saturn begins to form your new identity in the world. "Can you hear me now?"
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
There's so much happening on your plate, you need a daybook or an organizer to keep track of it all. Relations with partners and close friends might still be on edge. That's because Mars opposes your sign now. Fortunately, that's over in a few weeks. In the bigger picture however, you've been letting go of things, people, places and possessions, thereby streamlining your life. This process of downsizing and letting go is necessary to promote the wonderful, warm, expansive, delightful experience of home and family that you're having this year. When did you last feel this happy about your home scene? (I rest my handbag.)
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
You're working hard because Mars wants you to focus your efforts and direct the energy of others. Many are dealing with taxes, debt and bills or working with the assets or resources of others. Travel for pleasure and pleasant times with people from different cultures delight you. But the big lesson you're learning now is to establish a balance between dealing with groups and schmoozing with friends, and yet maintaining your own identity and independence in the process. This is your ongoing challenge for this year. When you learn how to skillfully achieve this balance, it will make your life so much easier! Too often, you sacrifice your wants to please others.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Partnerships and close friendships continue to be a major focus for you. Gifts and goodies continue to come your way since others are generous to you now. Intimate relations are very sweet. (Woo, woo!) Fiery Mars makes you playful and flirtatious; but this energy is softened by fair Venus traveling through your House of Sex. (Would I kid you?) "A good time was had by all." Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
You want to be on top of your scene. (You want everything to have a home - no floaters, please.) In order to do this, chaos and increased activity at home are taking place. Hey - when you clean and reorganize, things look worse before they get better. Relations with partners are friendly, considerate and caring. (Venus is taking care of that.) However, with this Jupiter/Saturn thang -- you are really dialed in! Saturn is preparing you for a career peak or a time of harvest and culmination in the next few years. Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Tra la, tra la - it is to laugh. Romance, love affairs, flirtations, sports, playful activities with children, vacations, parties and fun times continue to be your main focus. Do enjoy yourself! Mars gives you lots of get-up and go for taking short trips and talking to people. Meanwhile, back at the office, fair Venus gives you opportunities to improve relations with coworkers, and improve the appearance of where you work. Privately, you're undergoing a personal learning curve. You've had to give things up. Support from others has been withdrawn. As you deal with this (and you are) you're learning more about what really matters in life. You're also developing more compassion.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Family and real estate are still where it's at you. Family issues are very 'big'. Fortunately, Mercury is doing its bit to promote your conversations with siblings and relatives. Many of you are keen to fix up your digs. Mars encourages you to earn money and spend it! You're getting in touch with your power. You've left certain partnerships behind. That's okay because lucky Jupiter is promoting your contact with friends, groups and influential people, and this helps make things happen the way you want them to unfold. You're starting to get back inn your old groove.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
You have an enormous drive and energy right now because Mars is in your sign. The only downside is that Mars can make you so aggressive, you actually threaten others. If this is happening, try to get more physical exercise to burn off some of this excess energy. Meanwhile, you're busier than a one-armed paperhanger, running in all directions, taking short trips, talking to everyone. Increased reading, writing and studying also keep you busy. But the overall background energy or underlying base note to your life is that you're working hard now to accomplish something. (That's the Saturn part.) Now for the good part: lucky Jupiter is at the top of your chart attracting opportunities and the attention of VIPs, bosses and influential types who can help you! Just do it.
