All Signs
It's a pretty good week. Feelings of optimism are balanced by an urge to be practical and make long-range plans. However, at the beginning of the week, Mercury (the planet of communication) is at odds with Pluto (Darth Vader.) This Mercury/ Pluto combo makes everyone obsessed about something and insistent on convincing others to agree. Oy! Dontcha you love it? (Run away! Run away!) However, we can use this same energy for intense, honest self-appraisal. (This is as much fun as trying on bathing suits in a florescent lit changing room in a department store.) That moment of truth when you have to face yourself - and your behind! (But you need the bathing suit for a vacation because you're starting to look like your passport photo.)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
This is a pretty good time to make some long-range plans about vacations this year. Even if you took a whopper vacation last year, this is the year for Aries to travel! In fact, anything to do with publishing, the media, travel, dealing with foreign countries, education,, medicine and the law are beautifully favoured. (But you know that if you read this column.) Go gently on Monday and Tuesday, when you might be tempted to defend your political or religious beliefs; or worse yet, foist them on others. Remember: there are none so deaf as those who are wearing headphones. Be nice.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Since one of your top priorities is to solidify your home base and make a firm anchor for yourself in the world (something with a flat plasma TV, a few antiques, a good wine cellar and a top-of-the-line bed.) Nothing extravagant - just the basics -- you need your creature comforts. Fortunately, this is a good week to plan and research how to get a mortgage or divide shared property or get the assistance you need to make your home the solid, secure place you want it to be. Similarly, discussions about things that are jointly held might be settled. Ironically, these are the same areas that might be a source of contention with someone. (Maybe fierce!) Fortunately, these are also the areas where you have good luck this year. Hee, hee. Bonus!
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
You're enjoying good friends and partnerships this year; and you're making long-range plans, or getting the advice of someone older or more experienced. Both of these areas are supportive to you. It's also a good week for contracts and decisions that require consensus. For the most part, you're working well with others. But at the beginning of the week, conflict could arise between friends and partners or groups you're dealing with and partners. Someone is obsessed about something! You're ambitious now with your own plans. You might get caught between others who have different plans and expectations of you. It's the old squeeze play. Oy vey. (It's over quickly. Duck from flying objects.)
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
You're pretty high viz now. You're in a position to make future plans about how you earn money, how you spend money, or how you handle your assets. You feel quite confident about this, in large measure, because you're also optimistic about your job and your work right now. And your health feels good! Just go with what's working. Don't get your belly in a rash at the beginning of the week trying to convince others to agree with your ideas for improvements or reforms at work. You're better off turning this energy inwards and thinking how to improve your health even more. It's a good week to get rid of stuff at work that you don't need anymore.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Travel plans, matters with publishing and the media, anything to do with education plus issues related to medicine and the law are all areas where you can make solid plans, define your expectations, and get practical results. Furthermore, you have a lovely balance between a sense of practicality and working with what is doable, and yet being able to think big and expect positive, optimistic goodies! It's a great combo. Lest we forget - love and romance are also in the picture - smoochie boochies! However, something to do with these same areas could push your buttons on Monday or Tuesday. ("And in this corner, we have Lucky Leo! This year's heavyweight champ.") Fortunately, Mars is no longer opposite your sign, which means you're not as keen to fight as you were in March. (Whew!)
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
A lot of you are dealing with wills, estates, inheritances, shared property and taking care of red tape details. No doubt, this will benefit you in terms of home, family and real estate. However, it also could raise other questions or situations which trigger arguments and intense conflicts with someone, especially early in the week. (You need this like a fish needs a bicycle.) Disputes about how to handle responsibilities or how to handle a certain amount of cash or shared possessions could arise. What makes this particularly nasty is people are obsessed with their ideas! Even Wednesday is a much better day for these discussions. Hold the phone.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
With the Sun directly opposite your sign, you're definitely focused on partnerships and close friends. Some of these discussions are encouraging and inspirational; and others exchanges (perhaps with someone older or more experienced) might help you make sensible, practical plans for your future. You're certainly thinking a lot about your goals. However, because you have all these big ideas, you might insist on getting your way at the beginning of the week. You're not in the mood to compromise. Hey -- politics is the art of the possible. Do not be inflexible. Avoid arguments. Cyrus Ching said, "I learned long ago never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it."
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Things are starting to really pick up at work. You feel better about your job; and you feel better about your earning power. Bosses are impressed with you; and are likely receptive to your long-range plans for your career. You feel empowered! This bodes well for your professional life. However, at the beginning of the week, conflict with children, lovers (or possibly coworkers) might be a dark cloud on your horizon. Be gentle with the little people. You don't have to get your way. Everyone has their knickers in a knot about something at the beginning of the week. Big deal. Don't even go there. And don't get sucked in by others, either. Remember what your objectives are. Stick to them. Capice?
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
You're in a playful mood! Lucky Sagittarians are away on vacations. Plans related to travel, publishing, the media and higher education look doable. You're working hard to get something organized. But this is not a dull week. Oh no! You know that 'all work and no play simply makes Jack's widow rich.' You're enthusiastic, upbeat and excited about something. (Maybe you're all on vacation now and no one is reading this.) Steer clear of arguments with family members or conflict about real estate and domestic stuff. Arguments with relatives are the worst! There's so much at stake. (Lots of old buttons.) Anger only makes everyone miserable, including you. Therefore, cool thy jets. (Hey - if you don't learn to pause, nothing worthwhile can catch up to you.)
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
You can make amazing headway with anything connected with home, family, real estate, relatives, renovations, residential moves, family businesses or whatever you're concerned with in your private life. You believe in yourself right now! You feel optimistic. Furthermore, you're making sensible plans on how to use the resources of others, and deal with insurance matters, taxes, debt and shared possessions. This is all very good. Why spoil this with arguments with siblings or other acquaintances? Remember, after the words have left your mouth - its game over. Therefore, make your words tender and sweet in case you have to eat them later! (Oh yeah.)
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
You're cooking on all four burners. First, a kind of optimism makes you think like a winner right now. You're considering grand plans, partnerships, and enjoying working with others. In this respect, you're hot to trot! However, you're also involved with serious, long-term discussions with partners and close friends. You're really trying to nail down something in a positive, practical way. This too, is good. To keep this happy equilibrium, avoid arguments about purchases, cash flow, possessions and money in general. Will these arguments fix anything? I doubt it. (Always forgive your enemies - nothing could annoy them more.)
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
Things are starting to look sweet for you financially speaking. (Thank heavens! Your prayers have been answered.) Opportunities connected with the media, publishing, education, travel, dealing with foreign countries, and possibly medicine and the law all gwate (as Elmer Fudd would say.) Feels so good to have cash in your pockets! This is also an excellent time to make long-range plans about your work or your health. And with Mars in your sign, you're energetic, feisty and vigorous! And fair Venus wants you to redecorate at home and entertain. Life is wonderful! That's why you have to avoid arguments at the beginning of the week. Why wreck all this good stuff? Like duh?
