All Signs
Mercury is the smallest planet and the fastest. You might think it's the hottest planet because it's closest to the Sun but no - romantic Venus is the hottest. (Surprised? I was.) In astrology, Mercury represents communications and our daily routine. Every time it changes signs, it creates a shift of attention for everyone. Normally, Mercury is in one sign for about two weeks. This week Mercury enters Pisces to stay for two and a half months! This is because Mercury goes retrograde from Feb. 26 to March 21. What will this lengthy sojourn mean for everyone? Confusion. Wishy-washy communications. People won't know what to do. I'm getting a bumper sticker for my car that says: "I go where I'm towed."
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Be smart and remind yourself to slow down in the next 10 weeks because this will help you maintain focus. (You might function better by working alone or behind the scenes.) Old memories and dreams will surface, especially dreams about the past. And yet, this is a popular time for you because you're involved with friends and groups, especially in a competitive way. You might be schmoozing with creative types as well. Note: This Mercury retrograde could stir up feelings of self-doubt and second-guessing yourself. This is not how Aries likes to fly. You're about direct action, clarity and getting results. Don't worry because you're still that warrior. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be."
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Contact with friends you haven't seen for a while will take place in the next ten weeks. You might meet them in person, or hear about them, or interact with them on social media. Very likely, there'll be an aspect of confusion or misunderstanding. This element of confusion can also happen dealing with groups and organizations. Group plans and goals might change. Fortunately, this is an excellent time to reevaluate long-term plans because you might see things with a new set of eyes. Remember that you look great to others because the Sun is at the top of your chart -- something that happens only once a year. Relations with bosses and authority figures are supportive.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Be careful in the next 10 weeks because you will encounter delays, even reversals in career plans or something to do with promotions. In part, this could be due to confused communications with bosses and authority figures. Avoid office politics because they might be misleading. Whatever happens now might make you question your life direction. Wait until Mercury retrograde is over at the end of March to get your bearings. If you're unsure about what to do - do nothing because you are high viz. right now. People notice you and they will notice if you're uncertain or confused. Use this retrograde energy to finish old projects instead of starting new ones.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Mercury retrograde might make you wonder about religious and spiritual ideas. You might even query laws and customs that you've always taken for granted. It's as if your grounding is wobbly, or these beliefs no longer hold water for you. Expect travel delays and confusion about travel and plans for future vacations. Likewise legal matters and contracts will be delayed or held up. However, this is actually an excellent time to finish studies, or a manuscript, a book, or a major writing project. You can wrap up what was already on your plate. Relationships will be affectionate and romantic, which will be both supportive and distracting if you have demanding deadlines.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
This is a tricky time for you because Mercury retrograde will take place in one of your Money Houses. Expect delays with red-tape areas like inheritances, loans, taxes, debt and shared property. When dealing with legal matters and contracts, read everything carefully to avoid mistakes. You might find that old financial issues from the past are back in your lap again. Pisces can encourage escapist tendencies, which means you might want to run away from responsibilities. Fortunately, Mercury retrograde can help you finish these details. (Trust me.) Mercury retrograde is surprisingly effective at wrapping up old business. In the meantime, be patient with friends, partners and spouses. (For your own happiness.)
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Life will be a bit challenging in the next 10 weeks because encounters with ex-partners, ex-spouses and old friends from your past will occur in person, or online, or in social media, or in your thoughts and dreams. And here's the thing - you might be confused. As you recall a past relationship, you might not be certain of what actually happened? Mercury retrograde will bring these things back into your world but Pisces will encourage confusion about how you interpret it all. Perhaps it is clear to you now that you over-idealized someone. You didn't see the truth. Wait until the end of March to make firm relationship decisions.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Issues at work might be a bit maddening because of delays, confusion, mixed-up communications and errors. You might misplace items like phones, laptops, iPads, earbuds and headphones. On the upside, this the perfect time to rethink certain projects and revise your visions for the future. Definitely read and re-read work-related emails, instructions, invoices and contracts very carefully to avoid delays and later regrets. You might also be discouraged about a project that you were planning to do but now seems to be overwhelming or not worth it. Wait until the end of March before you pull the plug on something. Make that decision after Mercury retrograde is over.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Without question, Mercury retrograde will bring old flames back into your world. You might encounter these people in person, in social media or you might hear about them through a friend. Possibly, you'll dream about them or have imaginary conversations with them. You might wince at some of the people from your past that you were briefly involved with. (We've all been there.) Mercury retrograde can also create confusion in your current relationships with romantic partners as well as with your kids. Therefore, wait until the end of March to make any firm decisions. You can however, use this Mercury retrograde to finish artistic projects and creative ideas because things will flow! You will write like the Bard.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Two main influences will take place in the next 10 weeks during Mercury retrograde in Pisces. The first is that this will attract old family members and people connected to your home and family back into your world. They might be literally there -- sleeping on your sofa and eating out of your fridge. Or you might encounter them online, through social media, or bump into them in a store or a restaurant. You might hear news about them or you might even dream about them. Secondly, your current family communications will be subject to confusion and misinterpretation. Be aware of this and make an effort to be extra clear. Use this Mercury retrograde window to finish repairs at home and wrap up old business because these projects will practically finish themselves!
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
This Mercury retrograde in Pisces window is tricky for your sign because it's actually taking place in the "home" of Mercury in your chart. Expect confused communications. Misunderstandings, misinterpretations and disappointments will be par for the course. Even your daily activities will be dogged by goofy mistakes, misplaced items, missed appointments and late arrivals. Because you might feel mentally scattered, it will be hard to grasp where others are coming from and what they are saying. Travel will be delayed. Car problems, missed buses, technological glitches will be par for the course. Daydreaming interspersed with heightened intuition will occur. You might not know what to believe. Therefore, be careful. Don't be rash. As best as possible, wait until the end of March when the dust settles and clarity returns.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
While Mercury is retrograde in Pisces, you'll experience delays and confusion with financial matters, payments, income and expenses. Disputed issues from the past might arise. This is a tricky time for major purchases. (Keep your receipts and the box). Postpone important financial decisions because fuzzy thinking will be hard to avoid. Likewise, be smart and postpone major purchases because Pisces has a wishful desire to get the best. Be circumspect about new, moneymaking ideas that are get-rich-quick schemes. Be cautious about selling financial ideas to others because you will be persuasive because the Sun, Venus and Mars are in your sign. Be responsible. Do your research but be cautious.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
Well, it's all about you dear Pisces with Mercury going retrograde in your sign until the end of March. (In fact, it will stay in your sign until April 13.) You might find yourself questioning your choices. You might also question old versions of yourself as well as who you currently are. Misunderstandings with others are likely because of confused communications. You might question your identity and your values. Expect to have strong dreams and heightened intuition and empathy. Learn what you can from whatever arises but postpone important decisions until this is over because you're on shaky ground. It's like you're in a maze of mirrors that old circuses used to have. Exciting, exhilarating, but confusing and how do you get out?
