All Signs
Mercury is retrograde. (You can run but you can't hide.) The Moon on Sunday the 29th will eventually hit all five planets in Scorpio at a 90 degree angle. (Ouch!) Fortunately, this glitchy influence is brief. (Like tight underwear.) We do have the power to make adjustments! A month ago, I mentioned something for Aries that I'd like to pass on for all of us. Think of this story when you feel at odds with loved ones: Long ago, an old Native American grandfather told his grandson, "There are two wolves fighting inside all of us constantly - the wolf of fear and hate, and the wolf of love and peace." The grandson looked up at his grandfather and asked, "Which one will win?" The grandfather replied, "The one we feed."
Aries (March 21-April 19)
It's a mixed bag right now. In many ways, good fortune favours you at this time. Other people are generous. They might give you things, or do favours for you, or allow you an advantage of some kind. Whatever comes your way might be considerably large! Similarly, you might show others a great generosity as well. (You're certainly a generous sign.) Nevertheless, something you were expecting in terms of shared property or a gift or an inheritance might come under dispute or disappoint you in some way this week. Just let it go for the moment. It's old business. And it ain't over until the fat lady sings.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Relationships are in a muddle right now. Many of you are dealing with ex-partners and past situations. It's a mixed bag. Close friendships and partnerships have sweet moments; but there are also disputes about old business, plus an overall tension hovering in the background. Refrain from criticizing someone close to you. Once the words have left your mouth, you can never take them back. Think about your long-term objective. What is it you want to achieve? Don't respond or strike out because you're hurt. Read the grandfather's advice in All Signs above. It's important to know which mouth to feed.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
You're focused on your job and your employment scene. You're ready to work hard; and fortunately, coworkers are cooperative. Your ability to delegate and get things done through others is excellent. In fact, this is the area where you'll have your best good fortune in the next year. This means you can enormously improve your job or find a better one now or in 2007. However, progress comes in fits and starts. This week is a mixed bag. Disappointment or criticism from others might discourage you. In addition, retrograde Mercury is causing delays, confusions, goof-ups and silly, little errors. It's frustrating; but it's important to remember it's just temporary. (Courage.)
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Love affairs, romance, vacations, the arts, professional sports and activities with children continue to be your primary focus. Expect delays and readjustments in these areas. Your efforts to work with children could be tough. Remember Goethe's advice: "Correction does much; but encouragement does more." (Like anyone else, children wilt under criticism.) Be gentle with romantic interests. Remember that unexpressed expectations always guarantee disappointment. Don't be coy, Roy. Don't slip out the back. Jack. Ponder the advice (in All Signs above) of the wise old grandfather. Make sure your knee-jerk reaction is as positive as it can be.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
There's a lot taking place at home and within your private life. Increased activity due to renovations, redecorating, moving or visiting guests is probably creating turmoil for you. In some ways, it's quite lovely. Warm feelings with others plus an opportunity to make where you live look better really please you now. This part is good. But tension and disappointment are also in the picture. You're a terribly romantic sign, and no one is more dramatic than you. Are your expectations from others realistic? Are you building sand castles in the air and then regretting it when they crumble? No matter what your hopes, life is a kitchen sink reality. (Do you want to wash or dry?)
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Mercury is retrograde now in one of the toughest parts of your chart. Many of you will suffer from transportation delays, car breakdowns, glitches with machinery, as well as complete breakdowns in communications with others. Misunderstandings and confused messages are par for the course. Old business with siblings and relatives is also back in your lap. Fortunately, some of this is pleasant. But unfortunately, some of it isn't! Pay your phone bill. Stay on top of your transportation scene and fix whatever is dicey. Whatever you can head off at the pass -- do so! Try to be extra clear in all your communications. Double check everything. Be proactive. (What else can you do?)
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
This gaggle of planets in Scorpio totally focuses you on your earnings and whatever you do to earn money. You might be spending more as well. Your cash flow scene is critical. (Some of you are hemorrhaging cash.) Fortunately, you can make money now and for months to come. The Sun, Venus, Mars and Jupiter will all promote this. But retrograde Mercury is such a maverick! It will rattle your cage with money problems from the past, and old business that isn't finished. The good news is you'll be able to finish what's on your plate quite quickly and easily. (Retrograde Mercury is good for something!) Use this energy to your best advantage. Work hard to finish what you have already begun. Wrapping up old work will be relatively easy! (Thank gawd.)
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
You're bouncing with lots of aggressive energy because five planets are in your sign. (Yes - you're the cat's pajamas.) But this much energy is a lot to handle skillfully. (Oh yeah.) Things could go off the rails before you know it. Because you're bursting with so much drive and power, you might alienate bosses, parents and VIPs. (Ya think?) After all, you're the strongest, most willful sign in the zodiac even if no planets are in your sign. And right now - with five planets in Scorpio, you're gangbusters. Therefore, try to keep in mind how others view you and feel your energy right now. Be kind to the little people. You don't know what somebody else is experiencing until you've walked a mile in their wedgies.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Many of you are in a state of preparation about something. You're working behind the scenes. You might also be involved with the government or large institutions. Some of you also feel loss and sadness. This heavy concentration of planets in Scorpio stirs up memories from the past, especially about your childhood. However, there's a sense of waiting for something to happen. That big pregnant moment. This combo can be unsettling. You don't know whether to stand still or sprint forward. When in doubt, do nothing. Don't act rashly; avoid a knee-jerk response to others. Give matters a sober, second thought. Be polite to bosses and authority figures. Don't burn any bridges.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
It's hard to say what's happening with friends, and groups you belong to now. Something is definitely in the mix. (Is that a fly or a beetle?) It's a popular time for you. You're enjoying good times with friends and acquaintances. Nevertheless, someone is difficult right now. This person might criticize or oppose your ideas. (A proverbial pain in the butt.) Hey - nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! And no one likes to get shot down in flames. More than any other sign, you hate public criticism. (Public failure horrifies you.) So what are you going to do? Why not let this be an opportunity to practice tolerance and patience? (When you love your enemies -- it drives them crazy!)
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Others definitely notice you now because so many planets are at high noon in your chart. (The Sun in particular, acts like a spotlight on you.) This suits you just fine. Your ambition is aroused. You're hot to trot. Nevertheless, old problems from past jobs or previous bosses, or even difficulties with partners might take the shine off things right now. Tread carefully! It's possible somebody wants to trip you up. Perhaps someone is jealous of you? If criticized, don't bite back. You're the one who's holding the winning hand. You have the advantage. Therefore, step back. In a wonderfully cavalier style, show others your largess. (You ain't petty.)
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
You have high hopes for something connected to publishing, the media, higher education, medicine and the law. Quite possibly, it's related to travel or dealing with foreign countries. Keep these high hopes because the Sun, Venus and Jupiter favour you now. (Your goodies are on the way.) Delays in any of these matters, or even cancellations, are possible. But these are minor glitches. In the bigger picture, you're still moving forward. Don't get hung up on old political or religious differences. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. Learn what you can from this period of confusion and delay. Opportunity is everywhere - if you're paying attention.
