This week the Sun changes into Libra. (Happy birthday you beautiful people.) On the whole, this is quite a good week for business and commerce. It's also a great time to invest in art, or to buy beautiful things, or spend money on a vacation. The pleasure vibes are great! (Yummy - let's all have more fun!) People easily feel generous with each other. (This is a good thing.) Remember: True generosity is giving what is needed. That's Buddhist advice; however, I have just been called an Oyster! (That's a person who sprinkles their words with Yiddishisms.) Oy vey! (Ya think?)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
During the next six weeks, you have a chance to learn more about yourself through your one to one encounters. Since getting along with people is one of the most important things in life - what an opportunity! Examine your closest relationships. How do they fulfill your needs; and how do they fall short? How do you fulfill the needs of others? For a relationship to work well -- you must be as good for your partner as he or she is for you. A Native American grandfather told his grandson, "There are two wolves fighting inside all of us constantly - the wolf of fear and hate, and the wolf of love and peace." The grandson said, "Which one will win?" The Grandfather replied, "The one we feed."
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
You get satisfaction from a job well done. In the next 4-6 weeks, you'll be rewarded this way because you're motivated to get organized in every aspect of your life: domestic, personal and professional. You're hot to trot! Start off by giving yourself the right tools and the right equipment to do a great job. Get labels, file folders, plastic containers, hangers, shelving, cleaning equipment, -- whatever. Make it all come together for you. Be firm about giving up things or letting go of what you no longer need. Lighten your load. Refine and improve your techniques and procedures and ways of doing things. It's all about efficiency, effectiveness and results. Yes!
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Once a year, each sign gets the Green Light to play and have fun! It's your turn now, dear Gemini. The next six weeks are a fabulous time for a vacation. You're in the mood to play. It's also a great time for love affairs, romance and exploring the arts and your creative talents. Professional sports appeal. Playful activities or work with children will also be rewarding. Your primary drive is simply to do what you want. This isn't selfish. This is simply a time when the universe is giving you permission to do your own thing. Indulge in all kinds of amusing recreations. Be the free spirit you truly are! (No, dude --Pokemon is not a Rastafarian proctologist.)
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
The next six weeks suit you fine. You like to feel good about where you live -- your domestic scene, and your relationships with family members. And this is exactly what's on the menu. The month ahead offers you wonderful opportunities to steal time to be by yourself and ponder your private world. Quite likely, childhood memories will bubble to the surface. You can learn a lot from these because now you see these events through your adult eyes and your adult understanding. If you're a parent, you have a better appreciation of what your own parents were dealing with. Have you noticed that we judge ourselves by our motives, and others by their actions? Weird eh?
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
It's cha cha time! Suddenly, you've got things to do, places to go and people to see. Don't resist the accelerated pace of your days. Go with the flow. Short trips, conversations with siblings, and increased reading, writing and studying, and a desire to enlighten others keep your body and mind racing from place to place and subject to subject. It's totally appropriate to communicate your real thoughts and intentions. Don't leave others in the dark. Come clean; state your case. Take the guesswork out of your close relationships. When you express something out loud, it helps you see whether you even agree with yourself. ("Eek! I don't believe me!")
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Now your focus turns to money, possessions, your earnings and to some extent, your self image during the month ahead. That's because down deep you're searching for or questioning your basic value system. We all have value systems; although ironically, we often do not clearly define them to ourselves. Or we define our values by what we don't want or don't agree with. What do you think it takes to make you happy? (Get serious -- aside from that.) In the next 6 weeks, you have a chance to establish greater control over your life through what you own and what you value. It's been said "Great wealth and content seldom live together" -- but can't they be neighbours?
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
It's your turn to shine! The Sun, Mercury and Mars are now in your sign making you feel energized, replenished, refreshed, and downright saucy and flirtatious! You're physically active and keen to get exercise. (Fiery Mars is in your sign, and Mars rules the muscles.) Mercury (the ruler of how we think, talk and communicate) makes you put a lot of yourself into whatever you have to say. And you do want to say something! Meanwhile, the Sun attracts favours, opportunities, and people to you during the next four weeks. What's not to like? The month ahead is empowering and fortunate for you. Go out in full dazzle. It's time to recharge your batteries for the rest of the year.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Because your personal year (the year from birthday to birthday) is coming to an end now, this is the perfect time to withdraw somewhere and contemplate your navel. (I think the true meaning of the word abdicate is to give up all hope of ever having a flat stomach.) Oy! Work behind the scenes. Stay in the background. Enjoy some solitude. Now is the time to look over your shoulder back at the past. How well are you doing at the art of living? How do you want your new year to be different from last year? Write down a few ideas. It helps to know what you want. (Then when you get it -- you can celebrate.)
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
For various reasons, your popularity rating is climbing. You might become involved with groups more than usual (classes, courses, teams - whatever) because for some reason you're talking to friends and acquaintances. Yada, yada, yada. Perhaps something happens to make you realize how valuable your friendships are? In large measure, your friends are a reflection of who you are. (Something to think about.) This is the best time all year to share your goals and dreams for the future with others. Get their feedback. It will be helpful. This is not the time to go it alone. Enjoy team efforts. (I lost my Christmas card list -- now I have no idea who my friends are.)
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
The Sun is now at high noon in your chart. This acts like a spotlight on you. Because of this, others notice you much more than usual, especially VIPs, parents and bosses. (This also includes the police for those of you with a heavy foot.) Fortunately, these authority figures are unusually impressed with you. And (here's the good part) you don't even have to do anything special to earn this increased respect! (Go figure. I think it's good lighting.) Your interaction with a parent might be quite significant now. This is the best time all year for you to take a moment to examine your life as a whole and see if it's going in the direction you want. (I've always been fond of Southwest.)
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Your wanderlust is growing! You have a strong desire to expand your world either through study, travel, or exploring parallel universes. (Your sign can do this sort of thing. You love String Theory and far out stuff that tiny minds can never grasp.) This is a wonderful time to take a course to learn anything new. You might also become more involved with someone from another culture. Medicine and the law, as well as publishing and the media could become increasingly important during the next six weeks. Seek out discussions that involve metaphysical, religious or political subjects. You have strong thoughts about these matters. (The trouble with politicians is that deep down - they're shallow.)
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
The planetary lineup for the next month makes you feel unusually intense about everything. Nothing is gray. Everything is black-and-white. Actually, this is a good thing. It's a perfect opportunity for you to get in touch with your deeper being. "Helloooo? Anybody down there?" Don't worry if you feel a bit compulsive or excessive about something. This is totally appropriate right now. You might even encounter people who are unusually powerful or intense. ("Hi Darth.") In another vein (different arm) you're increasingly concerned with shared possessions and things that are held jointly with someone else. "This is my underwear. Puleeze!"
