This week we face a Full Moon while Mercury is retrograde. This is a bit like trying to do laundry with a water shortage. How bad is it really? Sweaty clothes for another day? Smelly - but doable. On Sunday, Venus and Neptune soften life. All is love, romance, sangria and music. When the Full Moon takes place in Capricorn on Monday, people are suddenly full of resolve to pull their act together. That's because Capricorn likes perfection: shiny brass buttons and polished boots. Let's have a little discipline! (You know the drill.) For balance, why not temper this influence with tolerance and patience? Hey - we're all mortals on this warming planet. Snafus and delays happen. Factoid. Why bother carrying a grudge? (While you're carrying the grudge - the other person is out dancing!)
This weekend you feel extremely fond of someone, perhaps even unusually sympathetic. Many of you will also express your creativity in magnificent ways (writing, sculpting, sewing, performing, singing or whatever it is you do.) Some will be so inspired by your Muse you'll just rest gently in this imaginative stage. (Daydreaming is permitted.) Be gentle with parents, authority figures and bosses on Monday: difficulties with others are painful and counterproductive. Don't scream out passionately. Avoid knee-jerk responses. Be like the wise Taurus who sleeps on things before big decisions in order to give matters a sober, second thought.
The good news is you're buying beautiful things for yourself and loved ones. The bad news is this is an accident-prone time for you. (Literally and verbally.) Monday's Full Moon will make you either blurt something out or paralyze your tongue. Tension and confusion on the home front are probably contributing factors. (Two toilets and a radial arm saw in the living room make entertaining tough.) Remember what your long-term objectives are. Keep these in mind. Ultimately, you want stability on the home front. You want to make improvements to where you live; and you want your family to run smoothly. Or at least hippity hop in unison.
Some kind of financial squeeze play comes to a head now for most of you. This could relate to earnings; it could also relate to how you spend your money or even what you owe to others. Lots of old stuff is back in your lap. Delays and confusion with communications (telephones, voice mail, cell phones, computers, e-mail, and faxes) and ground transportation (everything from cars to skate boards) is going bonkers. Yes, Momma said there would be days like this -- but weeks? Actually, many things are forcing you to make a decision. Who stays on board and who's left behind? Tension with siblings and daily contacts is also testing. Phfft! You're a whiz at tests.
This Mercury retrograde hits you in the pocketbook. Confusion related to earnings and how you spend your money (the cash flow thang) is mind-boggling. On top of this, (or to the side) you have to focus on partners and close friends because Monday's Full Moon directly opposes your sign. This isn't easy. You're not sure who to put first - yourself or others. You can't ignore your own interests. Nevertheless, you have to make a nod to others i.e. pay homage in some way. This you can do because you feel selfless and ready to help those who are less fortunate. (Admirable.) But don't throw the baby out with the bath water. You count too. And if you don't take care of your own interests, who will? You must help yourself in order to be in the position to help anyone else.
Retrograde Mercury in your sign always brings ex-partners out of the woodwork. Deal with these situations as gracefully as you can. (Appearances mean a lot, and one does have to keep up appearances. Eh wot?) Activities with groups and friends promote feelings of altruism and humanitarianism at this time. This is a good thing. However, something behind the scenes troubles you. You're distracted. Perhaps you're not sure what to do about a partnership. Dealing with large institutions and the government is also perplexing. Matters that have a long-term consequence demand your consideration. This can definitely overload the decision making process. Agghhh. (She loves me; she loves me not; she loves me, she loves me not.)
New love, especially with bosses or older or more established people can be wonderfully romantic now. We're talking the realization of a dream. (Sigh.) You might also be involved in a pleasant, artistic project. This could set up some tension between you and a member of a group or a friend. Is it a clash of ideals? Don't get your belly in a rash. Retrograde Mercury makes you second-guess yourself, which in turn, makes you imagine slights or insults. Give everyone (including yourself) the benefit of the doubt. Life is too short for bad wine and imagined slights. Cut everyone some slack. It's easier that way.
Your idealism is aroused. (You want to save the world before bedtime.) Not only that, your appreciation of beauty is also heightened. (And beauty to you is like food.) Nevertheless, difficulties with parents, bosses and authority figures strain your relations with someone. Sometimes you suffer in your eagerness to establish harmony and keep the peace. In addition, running into lots of past acquaintances can be a strain on your equilibrium. (A body can only take so much.) Just do nothing. Maintain your centre and your own sense of peace of mind. That's all you can do anyhow. Let everyone else take care of their own inner beings. (But do offer dark chocolate.)
Your generosity to others is appreciated. (Ironically, it brings even further gifts and goodies your way.) Tension with publishing, the media, higher education and dealing with foreign countries exists. Something could impact travel plans. Mars high in your chart arouses your ambitions, but retrograde Mercury creates problems, delays and misunderstandings with bosses, parents and VIPs. (Grrr.) This is one time when assertive action is not your best choice -- try gentle and seductive instead. (Who is more magnetic and alluring than you?) You have all the cards. You're the winner. You can afford to play a waiting game, and to throw out a bone or two. (Piece of cake.)
Partnerships are warm and cozy. In fact, things seem too good to be true. Nevertheless, matters with shared property, mortgages, and inheritances are stalled in the water. Delays and confused communications dog your steps. Fortunately, you're determined. You want something and you're going for it. (Patience is the operative word here because it's a waiting game.) Something or someone familiar is back in your life via teachings, philosophy, religion or dealing with foreign countries. This will inspire you, which is a good thing because you love to be inspired. (You know that when one door closes, a window opens, or perhaps an old chimney flu. I once saw a whole wall fall down. Life is like that.)
Things at work look swell. Co-workers are sympathetic and vise versa. However, on Monday it's the Full Moon. And not only that - it's the only Full Moon this year in your sign! Which prompts the question: how does one dress for a Full Moon? I think much the way you dress for a mid-life crisis. Expect resistance from partners and close friends. (Possibly ex-partners as well.) Fear not -- it's peanuts, really. Just sidestep whatever you can because it will fade by Wednesday. (Especially if left in the Sun.) Stay fresh and alert so that you can deal with old business connected with taxes, debt, shared property, insurance matters and inheritances. This is your chance to wrap this stuff up. (Cabbage or grape leaves are optional.)
Romance, pleasure, vacations, the arts, sports, and activities with children are a pleasant focus now. By contrast, something at work requires skilful diplomacy and patience. Make sure you have all the facts before you act. I say this because you might be distracted since ex partners are suddenly back in your life. (Whoa Nellie!) Although you generally like to "remain friends" not everyone can easily do this. Therefore, don't take it personally if someone you were once close to rejects your friendship. (Especially a diva Leo or a purge-the-past Scorpio.) After all, not everyone is as civilized and mature as you are about ex-partnerships.
Beautiful purchases for home or family delight you. Family gatherings are tender and sweet. (It's the marinade.) Monday's Full Moon could bring stress to working with children or the arts and the entertainment world. Romance might be choked up too. Just be patient in these areas because Full Moon tension passes in about 48 hours. Unfortunately, retrograde Mercury will wreak havoc with your efficiency at work for the whole month! Be encouraged by the knowledge that Mercury just screws up small stuff. It's frustrating but not devastating. (Not like trying on bathing suits in changing rooms under florescent lights with those mirrors that make you look waaay fatter than you are.) Oy!
