All Signs
Jupiter represents abundance, generosity, increase and good fortune. Uranus represents the unexpected. When these planets line up or create favourable angles to each other (120° or 60°) it heralds sudden windfalls and unexpected increase to wealth and activities. It doesn't happen often. But it occurred last week on Thurs. May 4, and because Jupiter is retrograde, it quickly happens again on August 29. I got a note from a family who read last week's Sunday column, and decided not to go to church; instead they went to the casino. (Yikes!) They didn't win. This bothers me. When two major planets touch base, it's hard to know when this influence actually manifests. I discuss planetary aspects when the mathematical apex occurs. The influence could manifest right at that time (and it often does); or it could be days or weeks before or after. Nevertheless, J.P. Morgan, said, "Astrology is not for millionaires, it's for billionaires." Yup. A billion here, a billion there -- pretty soon it adds up to real money.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Lots of unexpected events or surprises are taking place at home or in your domestic sphere. To begin with, there already was increased activity perhaps due to renovations, visiting guests or residential moves. But now the unexpected occurs. Drop-in guests? Changes to real estate deals? Upsets in family arrangements? Something might dictate the need for long-range planning with respect to the education or care of children. Amorous relationships could indicate a big shift. (He moves in/she moves out.) Something is causing a game of musical chairs in your private world. Inheritances, gifts from others and the promise of help or assistance might also generate these changes. It's an exciting week.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
You're excited! So many things are possible. Your mind is churning with choices, fantasies and future daydreams. Your daily routine is definitely accelerated or changed in some way. Siblings, relatives and neighbours might be the source of some of these surprises. That's why privately you're giving a lot of thought to long-range plans about where you will live, real estate matters and your family's shifting scene. So many things are possible! Refrain from criticizing family members. You might go overboard or be excessive with partners in some way. The timing of all this is appropriate. Last year and this year are excellent times to secure your home base. Where do you really want to live? Huh -- hmmm huh?
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
There's a lot going on. You're spending money more than usual right now. Some of these purchases are spontaneous and unanticipated. Fortunately, this unpredictable quality affects your entire cash flow both ways. You also full of great moneymaking ideas, and surrounded by unexpected opportunities to earn money. Someone older or more experienced might be willing to help you with advice or even enter into a partnership with you at this time. A temporary setback with the government or a large institution is hopefully minor. Don't let coworkers encourage you to go out on a limb if you don't want to (even though that's where the sweetest fruit is.) Accept help from friends and groups now.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Your life is full of all kinds of new activities and new encounters. There's lots of excitement and liberating influences surrounding you now. You might be considering doing something rather bold and unusual. If so, don't let friends discourage you. Have the courage of your own convictions. Once you make a commitment to yourself and others, you'll be surprised at how quickly the universe moves to support you. It's time to make long-range plans for your future because you feel bold and courageous, yet you're not foolhardy. Life is pretty simple really. When you're old, all you need is a bit of security: a comfy bed to sleep in and a little champagne and caviar.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
This is a good time to make long-range plans about travel in the future, as well as plans for going back to school or taking some kind of a course. Your appreciation of beauty is heightened; plus you want to learn more. (Perhaps you want to see a big city where people are lonesome together.) Unexpected support from behind the scenes will please you. (This could relate to government or large institutions.) The only dark cloud on your horizon might be criticism from a boss or a parent. Authority figures need to learn the advice of Goethe: "Criticism does much but encouragement does more." You're a generous sign. Nevertheless, avoid going overboard with goodies for family members. (Or the buck will stop before it ever reaches you.)
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
New acquaintances, new friends and introductions to groups, clubs and organizations are possible. You might also be engaged in unusual physical activities especially group stuff or team sports. Your fan club is active. Everyone in the peanut gallery is waving. Gifts, goodies, inheritances, favours and perks come to you from others. People either give you things or let you benefit from what they own. Be realistic when it comes to travel and educational plans, as well as matters related to publishing and the media. Caution: you might go overboard or be too optimistic about something. (What the large print giveth the small print taketh away.)
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Your ambition is aroused. Anything could happen. You're gung ho and ready to act on any opportunity that comes your way. That's good: if you want something you never had before, you've got to do something you never did before. Unexpected and surprise opportunities to promote your name or your own reputation or your standing in the community or your roll at work also arise. Act quickly -- this window of opportunity is brief. Partnerships also favour you now. In fact, long-term partnerships can be solidified or secured. Your world might change because a new boss is on the scene. Parents might also surprise you with sudden news.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
You're excited about big plans you're ready to hatch. Unexpected opportunities with publishing, the media, medicine and the law could fall in your lap. Surprise opportunities to travel or increase your education or training are also likely. Whatever happens -- act quickly. However, when you act, others might try to dissuade you from doing something 'rash'. They think you're going off the deep end. But you know what you're doing is exciting, fresh, and above all liberating! You're expanding your world! (It just goes to show you that one man's Mead is another man's Persian.) If you can suddenly grab a vacation now -- do it! The arts, creative opportunities and pregnancies create further surprises. (Like wow.)
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Random and unexpected opportunities to benefit from the wealth of others or from the wealth of a partnership exist. Stuff comes to you out of the blue! Plus the support, backing and resources you need from others are suddenly there. Yes! However, surprises connected with sex are possible. It just shows to go you that you never know when a good time is going to suddenly fall in your lap. (Of course, sometimes a banana is just a banana.) Make long-term vacation plans as well as plans concerning children. Enjoy creative, artistic projects. Give little thought to picky coworkers. (Programmers area feeling the byte.)
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Partnerships and close friendships are a source of surprise. New people are suddenly in the picture. Alternatively, an existing relationship might suddenly be rejuvenated or take an entirely new direction. Whatever you buy for your home now (or for a family member) will be practical and long lasting. However, you might be worried about children or something to do with sports and financial speculation. Just keep track of what's happening. (Documentation is like sex: when it's good, it's very very good -- and when it's bad, it's better than nothing.) Changes in relationships will be liberating for you.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Mucho surprises at work! Something related your job is quite unexpected. If you're unemployed -- you find work. If you're employed, sudden improvements or new technology changes things. Some of you will figure out how to break out of the cube farm. ("Run for your lives!") Something happens to spur you to make a break for freedom. (You love this kind of thing.) Ditto for news about expanding families through pregnancies and adoption. You can also make some solid coin. Long-range plans to earn money or change jobs look reliable and dependable for the future.
