It's Christmas; and the next day, Adam Sandler celebrates Hanukhah. Two different astrological aspects occur now: late Christmas Eve, Mercury nods to Neptune. (Mercury rules communications and everyday tasks; and Neptune is the sensitive Muse.) This makes Christmas Eve inspirational and magical! Dreamy wishes dance like sugarplum fairies in our heads. It's wonderful for little tots waiting for Santa. People will be caring to each other. By late Tuesday, Mars squares Saturn, and suddenly life seems hard. Authority types are heavy. People are uptight. You might be upset but can't say anything. (Oy vay.) But - tsk, tsk, stress builds character! (I know, I know -- you have enough character.) Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukhah! Aries (March 21-April 19)
This is a wonderfully idealistic time for you. Dealings with foreign countries, and people from other cultures or different backgrounds, matters connected with medicine and the law, and anything to do with publishing and the media delight you. Nevertheless, you feel a bit strapped financially. You don't have enough money to spend on children or on social events and entertaining diversions. It's been said that the easiest way to remain poor is to pretend to be rich. (Actually life is cheap - it's the accessories that'll kill ya.) Don't worry. According to an old Latin proverb you can't swim ashore and carry your baggage with you. Do what you can; use what you have; enjoy life.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
You feel generous to others now. Nevertheless, don't let your idealism make you give away the farm. (Unlikely.) Perhaps your stance on some issue triggers difficulty with parents or authority figures in your life? It looks like someone at home is not happy. And this person could be you! The real frustrating thing is you can't object or say anything, because if you do it's inappropriate and only makes things worse. (Dontcha love it?) Just let this pass. When Mars is in your sign for a little time, it energizes you and gives you lots of pizzazz! But after five months of living with Mars - oy! - it's taking its toll. Avoid conflict with others. Just be happy that your job will improve so nicely this year. Because it will.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Conversations with others are so uplifting and lighthearted, you feel almost saintly! It's easy to practice acts of kindness; and others are solicitous of your needs as well. On Tuesday however, you're assailed by feelings of doubt; or you feel anxious about something. ("Doubt? Is that you again?") Don't make a big deal about this. The thing to remember is it passes quickly. Of this there is no doubt. Actually, although doubt is an uncomfortable feeling; absolute certainty is absurd. Ya know? Then there's the Heineken Uncertainty Principle: how many beers did I have last night? Remember: you have the most fun-loving, playful, creative, romantic year ahead! Relax awreddy!
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
You feel unusually inspired at work now. Or perhaps it's doing service for others. (You're a nurturing, caring person.) You won't regret your acts of kindness. First off, in themselves they're rewarding. Plus what goes around comes around. Bummer detail: conflict or some kind of tension with a group or a friend on Tuesday could create angst. You generally says nothing when you're upset. You just sort of pout. Life is too short for pouting. For one thing, it feels miserable. Secondly, it's never attractive. Even experienced pouters are a drag to be around. Remember: where the river is deepest it makes the least noise. Also: the goat is waiting at the gate. Think of these things while pouting. (This is the origin of the phrase "that gets my goat.")
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
You have the Christmas spirit this year! December 24-25 are creative, delightful, fun-loving times! Enjoy playful activities with children. (Your sign rules children.) It's also a romantic time in a sweet, tender way. We're talking sparkle dust from the stars! On Tuesday when things are tough dealing with authority figures and bosses, just cool your jets. Remember you have a choice of response. I'm talking response within your self. You feel you can't talk back or anything like that. But how about going one step further? Just decide not to get your belly in a rash. Chill out. Lower your expectations. Consider this an opportunity to practice patience.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Family conversations and daily events at home are quite delightful now. If you work at home, you're inspired in completely new ways! You will also work lovingly on behalf of others, probably family members. It's easy to be giving now. On Tuesday, you feel stressed-out about publishing, the media, educational matters and travel. Possibly people from other cultures or a different background are difficult to deal with. This is nothing you cannot handle. Simply demonstrate grace under pressure. The more opportunities you have to practice patience -- the more patient you'll become! (I hate that part.)
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Something makes you feel dreamy, excited, whimsical, and very creative either intellectually or in everyday tasks. It's quite lovely. Others enjoy talking to you. Time spent with siblings is particularly inspiring and rewarding. However, you feel a bit stressed-out about sharing something with someone. Perhaps someone borrows something or uses something of yours and you're not pleased. Yet you feel you cannot express your displeasure without sounding petty. This is tough. We all feel petty at times! But it's never cool to show it. Oscar Wilde said when faced with a choice of two evils, a pessimist chooses both. (Petty and pessimism are linked.) You're feeling extravagant. And when you throw money around, you can make Leo look frugal! (That's because you don't blink at adding zeros to things.) Fortunately, this same astrological influence can inspire you with new moneymaking ideas, especially related to making money in pharmaceuticals, gas, oil, high fashion, plastics and anything to do with the ocean. Your patience is definitely tested in your dealings with partners and close friends on Tuesday. You won't express it overtly. You'll just stand in the doorway and breathe heavily. ("Hi Darth.") Actually, this tension is brief. Just go with the flow. By Wed/Thurs thing are mellow again.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
You almost believe in magic! That's how delightful things are. This weekend you're sensitive to the needs and wishes of others. Perhaps vice versa as well. It's all so gosh, golly good! Gee whiz!
