All Signs
On Monday, Oct. 3 at 6:28 a.m. EDT the second and final Solar Eclipse this year takes place in Libra. The previous Solar Eclipse was in Aries. The thrust of Aries is warlike and aggressive; whereas Libra wants harmony and peace. This Solar Eclipse heralds a shift in consciousness. The Peace Movement will swell in ranks and recognition. Of course, Libra is a fashion conscious sign. The fashion cognoscenti will police these events. People will discuss what to wear to Peace Walks -- what colours are in, that sort of thing. Expect clever slogans like "All is fear in love and war." Meanwhile, in an effort to save gas, people are being asked to refrain from eating beans.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
One of the biggest things taking place for you is a change in attitude towards partners and close friends. You see you don't want to paddle your own canoe all the time. The buddy system definitely has merits. The upside is you can enjoy someone's company, two heads are better than one, and splitting costs is cheaper. The downside is you have to be patient with someone else's idiosyncrasies, and you have to share your bed. (One good turn generally gets the blanket.) In other words, in order to get what you want, you have to give up something. Think about what you want and what you're willing to pay to get it.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Positive changes are taking place now that affect your job and your health. This is not a passive thing. You're part of the process. In fact, your desires to make improvements in every aspect of your life go beyond your health and your job. You want your whole environment to work. You want to get rid of stuff. You want to streamline your possessions and how you do things. You want to find a better way to live! Because Mars is in your sign for such a long time now (first time in your life) you have increased energy, focus and determination! You've got what it takes to make your dreams come true. Your first goal is to create the home you want.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Your creative vibes are hot. You're on a first name basis with your muse. You talk to each other every day. Many of you are expressing your creative talents more than ever before. Others are flexing muscles in love affairs, entertaining diversions, and exciting vacations. Those of you who work with children (this includes parents) can make great gains now. Your efforts to help and shape young minds are rewarding. New love, especially with someone from another country or culture is likely. By the same token, you're willing to drop a romance that's in the toilet. It's an interesting week!
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Wonderful changes are taking place at home and in your domestic scene. This Solar Eclipse marks a shift in how you approach family matters as well as your attitude to where you live. Many changes that you hoped for (but were afraid to count on) are now secure in the palm of your hand. Yay! You have a warm cozy feeling in your tummy about family, real estate and your home. (Is that apple pie I smell?) Go forward with plans to renovate and improve things. Get rid of deadwood. Give away, recycle and turf stuff. Don't defeat yourself by thinking, " Hmmm, I may need this some day." Be ruthless.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
The biggest thing going on in your life now is actually going on in your mind. You're undergoing a change of attitude. Certain truths are staring you in the face. You can't be Queen of Denial any longer. And you don't want to anyhow. You've decided to make reforms and improvements in your approach to your everyday world. You feel bolder, more positive about your future, and more hopeful about what you can achieve. Everything begins in the mind. Everything starts with a thought. Don't worry. This doesn't mean you can no longer have a meaningful overnight relationship. You can. The difference is now you know what you're doing.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
You're focused on money, possessions, how you earn your money, and how you spend it. One thing is certain, you want to make improvements in these areas. You want to be happy with how you earn your money. (You want to like your job.) You also want to be happy with how you spend it. You want your purchases to please you. You want to feel you get your money's worth for something -- be it an item or a service. In a weird way, a lot of this is tied up with your self-image: I am what I wear. I am what I drive. I am where I live. But am you? The truth is closer to Popeye, "I am what I am."
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
The Solar Eclipse this week takes place in your sign. I think it means you have to buy gorgeous wardrobe items, don't you? And maybe meet a friend for dinner afterwards? (Someone who really knows how to accessorize.) The fact is you do want to transform and improve your image in some way. You not only want to improve your appearance the first impression you create on others -- you want to improve how you relate to partners, close friends and major clients. You're on a makeover kick! Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
The Solar Eclipse this week triggers a desire for improvement and change in all of us. But for your sign, it's subtle. Basically, you're dealing with issues of faith and your own approach to your spiritual values. You know that your outer world is an external manifestation of what's going on deep inside. You've always known this. The question is -- what is going on inside? Maybe only your hairdresser knows. This is the part you want to get in contact with. You go longer want to be a slave to your unconscious impulses. You want to be in control. But control is an illusion. Sigh. Well, it's one of those necessary illusions. Who wants to be out-of-control?
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
A woman once asked the Dalai Lama how she could make friends. He replied, "Be friendly." This Solar Eclipse urges you to examine your friendships in your life. Friends are hugely important. They're important because they affect how you see things. They affect your mind, and your mind is how you make your choices and that in turn determines your life! Yup. Birds of a feather do flock to freshly washed cars. Are you hanging out with quality people? The same applies for clubs, associations and organizations you belong to. Do they improve your life or cause you angst? If you're not happy with your friends remember the Yellow Rule: forgive your enemies but always remember their names.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
More than any other sign, you have a sense of destiny. You want to be somebody. You want respect, status and prestige. (A Mercedes is a nice touch.) Right now you have an opportunity to examine just how much your reputation means to you. What will you sacrifice for it? Don't forget your sign also values home, family, God, motherhood and the flag. You like tradition. This Solar Eclipse also focuses on parents, bosses and authority figures in your life. The whole ball of wax. What do others think of you? Decide what sacrifices are worth impressing others and keep them happy. And where you're just going to draw a line in the sand and say "Enuff awreddy!"
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
The Solar Eclipse, the Sun, the Moon, Mercury and Jupiter are trying to get your attention. Hello? This heavy focus falls in the area of publishing, the media, higher education, travel, dealing with foreign countries, medicine and the law. (It also includes comic books and airports.) At a deeper level, it focuses on your belief system. (This is pretty heady stuff.) What do you believe in and do you want your name in the paper? All Aquarians are born 50 years ahead of their time. Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
Sometimes a person just has to clean house. Literally and figuratively. That's what you have to do right now. First you have to get rid of whatever weighs down your mind in terms of unfinished insurance matters, bills, debt, taxes and red tape stuff that just won't go away by itself. (Groan.) These are nagging details. Eradicate them from your life! Then you have to decide how shared possessions or jointly held property will be divided or managed. Then you have to find a decent sex shop. Passion is as important as dessert. And we all know how important that is. No dessert - no fun. After all, no-one wants to go to bed without dessert. Right?
