All Signs
We're in the throes of Mercury retrograde. (Wait until August 16 to buy cars, trucks, bikes, computers and phones.) All kinds of people from the past are popping up. Stock the fridge. Look your best. The upside is this is a good time to finish old business, finish research, finish unpacking, finish refinishing, finish building, and finish tearing down stuff (you get the drift.) Cope with delays and tiny goof ups. Aaagghh. Both the Sun and Saturn are now in Leo, putting a new spin on things for everyone. The next two years are 'grow up' time for the Fixed Signs! (Not grow op.) That's Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. Everyone else can remain immature and childish. (Of course, who will love you?) Remember: t he best way to stay young is to exercise daily, eat organic and lie about your age.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Your creative vibes are hot! You're full of bright ideas about hobbies, parties, entertaining and fun sports. Meanwhile, back in the bedroom, romance is sizzling. This lasts for six weeks. (Maybe longer depending on what you do with e-mail spam.) But in the big picture, you're dealing with increased responsibilities with children in the next few years. You're also asking yourself questions about your career and your life calling. You have that now or never feeling. You won't coast along anymore in just a " job." You want meaningful work. You want something that inspires you and pays pots of cash. Why not?
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
This bears repeating. About every two years, Mars is in your sign for seven weeks. Through a rare, celestial event, this week Mars enters your sign for six months! You're PowerPoint on steroids! Mars gives you tremendous energy, drive, verve and aggression. (It also makes you hot in the sack because Mars rules muscles and sexual energy.) Yeehaw! Baby needs a new pair of shoes! However, you must get increased physical exercise. (Yes, sex counts.) Note: this wonderful energy build-up needs a release, and if doesn't have a release, you'll end up barking at people. "Woof, woof!" How silly is that?
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
This will be a Mercury-retrograde to remember. Groan. (Sorry about that. I just report this stuff; I don't cause it.) Not only is Mercury your ruler, this particular Mercury retrograde is happening in your "home." (Your Third House.) Therefore, pay your phone bills. Stay on top of your ground transportation. (If something is going to break down -- it will!) Ordinary, daily events are subject to confusion and error. (Lost keys, lost papers, misplaced items.) Your interaction with neighbours, siblings and relatives increases. It's a busy time but it's also loosey-goosey. Meanwhile, in the big picture, the winds of change are starting to blooow.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
The current planetary activity strongly focuses your attention on money, possessions and your earning power or lack of it. Ostensibly, you're wondering what you should do to earn money. You're thinking about your job and whether or not you should get a different job. (Trainee brain surgeon! Diploma in only two weeks!) But at a deeper level, you're really wondering about your value system in life. In other words, what really matters? You want to put your money on the right horse. You don't want to look in the mirror at the end of your life and regretfully shake your head. Nooooo waaaay.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
The Sun, Saturn and retrograde Mercury are all in your sign. (This combo happens about three or four times in a century.) It has a quality of Dijon vu. (That's when the smell of hot dogs reminds you of your childhood.) You might feel stiff in your joints in the coming year. You might also need to pay more attention to your teeth. But in the big picture, you're in a new sandbox setting off on a whole new path! Yowsers! Actually, you're embarking on the process of reinventing yourself in the next 5-7 years. Downside: uncertainty. Upside: new wardrobe. You'll definitely be shopping for goodies! This is a significant birthday.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
The dynamic of your life is starting to shift in a major way. Essentially, you're going to start to dismantle much of what you created since 1994. In the next few years, you'll let go of people, places, possessions, relationships, and jobs as you streamline your life and downsize in a major way. All of this is a preparation for something entirely new in about two and a half years from now. You're not worried. You're making more money this year! (And you're spending more as well.) This rare six-month stint of Mars (see Taurus) stimulates your desire to travel and expand your education. You're going places!
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
The planet Mars, which normally passes through each sign in about seven weeks, is going to stay for six months in the part of your chart that focuses on sex, other people's money and shared resources. (Sounds like fun at the old homestead.) Meanwhile, old friends are back in your life. This could be a good thing. More and more, you'll interact with groups and friends to expand your life so that you're part of something bigger than yourself. ("Ralph Kramden, the biggest thing you ever got into was your pants!") In the month ahead, your popularity increases. Accept all invitations. Enjoy social times with others. Be friendly. Laugh it up!
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Now hear this. Now hear this. Mars is going to oppose your sign for the next six months. You've never felt this before. Your closest friendships and partnerships are going to be dicey and challenging. You can't get around this. Therefore, sit up, be a person. Accept this fact and decide how to deal with it. All you can do is acknowledge that your close relationships are testy, and you both will have to be more patient with each other. You can do this. Meanwhile, your career makes greater demands on your time in the next 6 weeks. You're in the spotlight. And your power and influence is increasing!
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
You're focused on publishing, higher education, travel and dealing with foreign countries. You're excited because you see what you really want to do now. (Or close to it.) This is a good time to do research in these areas and wrap up what you already initiated. Meanwhile, while Mars is in Taurus for the next six months (and this is most unusual) you have tons of energy to work and get better organized in every aspect of your life. It's time to grab the bull by the horns. You mean business. You should also grab opportunities to travel to places you've been to before. Ditto for publishing and educational opportunities. Remain positive about your future prospects.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Suddenly, you're in party mode! Love affairs, romance, vacations and creative opportunities or artistic projects all have an enormous appeal for you now. You can definitely research anything extremely well now. If you have to dig into historical research or anything in the past -- you're hot! (This is where Mercury retrograde actually pays off.) It's important to believe in yourself now. Resources and financial assistance (including assistance from partners) might be diminished in the next few years. Fear not. You can handle this. This simply throws you back on your own resources, and shows you how resilient and resourceful you really are. Oh yeah.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
In many ways, you're entering one of the most significant times of your life. Ever since 1991, you've been trying to figure out who you are, what your value system is, where you should live, and what you should do. Now it's time to enter the world (boldly in cowboy boots) and demand five-star membership. You're starting to take your powah! You're going to focus on your external options as never before. The problem is, as you start to flex your muscles, it probably creates tension with partners and close friends. They want the old you. They might even be afraid of the new you. Too bad. You're not going back in the box.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
This is an exciting time for your sign because you're gearing up to work hard at something important. You feel socially and intellectually more aggressive. Furthermore, this cutting edge quality to your thinking and your communicating style is going to stay this way for the next six months! (Maybe longer.) People will sit up and pay attention when you speak. Don't hesitate to get involved in projects that require sustained effort and commitment. You've got what it takes right now.
