An interesting week! Fiery Mars and unpredictable Uranus energize each other in a pleasant way. (This is like playing with nitroglycerin for kicks.) But what is most curious is that on Valentine's Day, fair Venus lines up with idealistic Neptune. How timely! This creates beautiful romantic expectations -- the stuff of movies. But it's really just smoke and mirrors. Nevertheless fantasy is always alluring. The absence of warts creates deluded moments of wonder. Shining, knights on non-defecating steeds scoop up fair damsels (no cellulite, great teeth) to ride off into a smog-free sunset. Great for romance, but inconsistent with kitchen sink reality. Ah well -- love is blond.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
You have fun with others now. Conversations are fascinating and laced with profundity. People make amazing political and religious observations. (You admire people who can wrap their head around the stuff like this. I mean, they're really thinking, ya know?) How refreshing to have your own mind jiggled into a new headspace. What a wakeup call! Since an aspect of opportunity is simply being ready for whatever presents itself -- you're on your toes! That's why marvelous career opportunities can take you in a number of different directions. The only catch is the window of time is short. But then -- so is life.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
You're restless; impatient with daily routine. Last-minute travel plans are likely. (Do laundry. You might be packing quickly.) Unpredictable opportunities exist with publishing, the media, universities and colleges, plus medical and legal matters. It all comes down to this: the curtain is opening on something new and exciting! (Hopefully sexy as well -- you're so tactile and sensuous.) Your drive for experimentation and new experiences takes you beyond your safe zone. Some of you will fall in love with your boss. (Or someone older or more experienced.) Naturally, this love is true, pure, everlasting, organic and without preservatives. (Practice safe eating: use condiments.)
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Clever, fickle Gemini. (I'll never tell.) Your idealism is aroused now. Marvelous ideas, heart-felt concepts! (It's true. The most exciting organ in the body is the brain. And boy, do you have a brain.) Many of you have sudden opportunities to travel for pleasure. Something luxurious and sweetly decadent. (Swimming in turquoise pools under moonlight?) You feel sexually experimental. (You love to probe new areas of delight to satisfy your curiosity about life.) Mostly however, you feel passionately idealistic about a religious, spiritual or even political idea. Naturally, this means you want to communicate this to others. You want to influence people for the better. You have something to say and you intend to say it.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Expect intimate, sweet and tender, affectionate times with loved ones this week. (Yup. Juicy diary entries and rambling e-mails.) You feel selfless in your love for someone. You might experience a soul union with a lover. Someone could be generous to you financially, or in practical terms; or you might be the generous donor to others. At work, you see new applications for things. New solutions to old problems. Don't hesitate to introduce better ways of doing things. You're intrigued by information from other cultures. Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
You're idealistic about close partnerships and relationships. Many of you will have wonderful, romantic Valentine dinners. Whether this happens or not, in the larger scheme of things (see Aisle 12) you feel a strong need to communicate something valuable and meaningful to someone. The knowledge that kindness, compassion, and caring for others is important -- is something you want to share. Not only will you talk about this in order to share these concepts with others, you'll look for ways to demonstrate these qualities. This makes you feel more enthusiastic about life! In turn, your enthusiasm helps you to see new ways of doing things at work. You're open to new technology. (Gads! Better mousetraps catch smarter mice.)
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
New romantic interests are intriguing and unexpected. (The best kind.) You feel bold and experimental. In fact, you feel eager to play and have fun in many aspects of your life now. And why not? Life is short (and fat.) Why let it slip by like a train pulling out of the station? Why not hop on board? (This metaphor is for those of you who are waiting at the train station when your ship comes in.) Work is rewarding because you enjoy helping and receiving help from coworkers. A lovely, mutual admiration society seems to be going on. Others want your advice. That's fine. You're in such good spirits, you find it easy to offer encouraging suggestions. Enjoy playful activities with children.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Well, the love metre thang is off the charts. Bang! It hit the bell. Actually there are three areas that are enhanced this week for your sign: (1) romance, (2) your creative and artistic output, and (3) your sympathetic love for and joy with children. In any or all of these areas, you shine! The main reason these areas are so beautifully invigorated is your own state of mind. Perhaps I should say your state of heart? Because you feel more selfless, more giving, more genuinely concerned for others, more attuned to their needs (their joys and sufferings) you spontaneously, naturally respond in the most appropriate way to the occasion at hand. (Others are gonna love you for this.)
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
You have a warm feeling in your tummy about family relationships this week. You find it easy to be selfless, giving and caring with a parent or any other family member. In turn, family members are particularly loving and warm to you. You're also interested in making where you live look more attractive. You might blow some serious coin on lovely, luxurious details for your home. (Yes, sheets can be that expensive.) Fortunately, not only does this promote good vibes all around ("is everybody happy?") these feelings trigger fantastic, creative impulses within you. You feel inventive! You're thinking out-of-the-box. (But you're still behind the metric system every inch of the way.)
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
The recent swell of the world compassion for tragic victims in other countries has truly had its impact on you. Something has softened your heart. Now, closer to home, you see just how much love there is in your daily life. Relations and siblings, relatives and neighbours are gentler and more caring. But at a deeper level, all your communications with everyone seem to spring from a more caring, concerned and more selfless source. (We're talking about you.) This is a good thing. It's so easy to be self-critical. This week you can counteract this impulse with thoughts of appreciation not only for your life, but for who you are. Naturally, this leads to impulse spending and cool gifts for yourself. Yay!
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
You're really in the mood to throw your money around now. Don't get me wrong. You don't like waste. But you do love quality (and designer labels.) That's why you're spending big right now. Fortunately, many of you are also earning more. (After all, your career is beautifully favoured this year.) But the really good news is that not only are you spending money on luxury for yourself and loved ones, you're also willing to give generously to needy causes and others who are less fortunate than you. You feel altruistic, and you want to do something -- in practical terms -- to demonstrate your concern. Money is energy. It gets things done. It buys building materials, freshwater and medical supplies. (But first, a little nosh before checking out that Louis Vuitton luggage.)
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Fair Venus meets idealistic Neptune in your sign -- right on Valentine's Day! You must give someone a Valentine. Something. Anything. (You'll feel good if you do.) You don't have to be "in love" to do this. You just have to show someone you care. And you do care. In fact, you feel rather noble about self-sacrifice now. Many of you will easily put your needs second to the needs of someone else now. This humanitarian impulse inevitably attracts people to you. (We all like the good guys.) If you have an opportunity to be a role model for fighting for the highest good - then do it! Meanwhile, back in the bedroom, romance sweetly beckons.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
More than any other sign, you can be self-sacrificing. It's not a martyrdom thing. (That's a Capricorn trip.) It's because you can be totally unselfish and caring about others. This is probably due to your natural sense of empathy. You can imagine what it's like to be in somebody else's shoes. (Especially if they're a half a size too small.) This week you feel a somewhat refined sense of beauty and the world around you. You visualize everything with an artist's eye. The inspiration this gives you galvanizes you into action with friends and groups. You want to join forces to get things done! (So little time, so little to do.)
