All Signs
On the 24th, Jupiter moves into Libra. The last time it was there was Nov. '92 to Dec. '93. Jupiter is 1300 times the size of Earth. It's huge! It's known as the "Great Benefic" because it brings benefit, increase, happiness and joy. (In fact, the Romans called Jupiter "Jove", hence the term "jovial.") But Jupiter brings more than just wealth and expansion. It signifies a person reaching out for growth, knowledge, and worldly experience. Jupiter rules the legal system and government officials. Jupiter in Libra favours the passage of just and wise laws. Yay! Wherever Jupiter touches your chart, you become richer and wiser. The downside is you can become fatter as well! (Increase and expansion.) This only goes to show that even perfection ain't perfect. Horrors! Time to let out another seam in the shower curtain.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Thank the Lord. In the year ahead, as Jupiter moves opposite your sign, it's a good thing. This generally heralds a time of culmination and success for you. (We like.) In particular, it means that you'll enjoy great success dealing with others, especially partners and close friends. Things go swimmingly well. People think you're fun and smart. The only downside is you might sound a tad smug. (Moi?) Because Jupiter rules wisdom (and does bring knowledge) you might start to feel that you know it all. Please don't fall into this trap. Have you ever met another Aries who knows it all? (I rest my handbag.)
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
You'll be pleased to know that your job will improve enormously in the year ahead. I'm not kidding about this. Your job can go from being totally the pits - past zero - into being surprisingly fabulous! Your horrid boss might quit or be transferred. You might get new duties or a different job description. You might even get a different job! Whatever happens, this area of your life becomes much more rewarding and satisfying. Your health gets a lovely boost, too. (Makes sense. Happier job equals less tension equals better health.) Minor caution: watch those desserts. A minute on the lips is a decade on the hips. (Gulp.)
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Somebody has to be the big winner every time lucky Jupiter makes a shift. This time it's you two. Double your pleasure, double your fun! If you've been sitting around twiddling your thumbs on Saturday nights -- fret no more! Love, romance, parties, vacations, and amusing little diversions will come your way. Your relations with children will improve. Your creative potential will increase. Even your luck will improve. You'll meet people who are quite different from you. (The best way to learn a new language is to take a lover -- no?) The most wonderful thing this year brings is an opportunity for personal growth and self-expression. You'll feel free to be you. Cancer (June 21-July 22)
The year ahead will definitely give you a warm, fuzzy feeling in your tummy. You'll love it. Everything to do with home, family and your domestic life will be warmer, richer and more rewarding. Family relationships will improve. Increased enjoyment at home is guaranteed. Not only that, it's a wonderful time for real estate. If you buy, sell, rent - whatever -- everything improves for you! It's definitely a good time to invest in real estate, that's for sure. Basically, you'll feel more grounded, as if you belong somewhere. You'll enjoy your home. You'll enjoy your loved ones. You'll sleep in a comfy bed with high thread count sheets. (Get a new pillow.)
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Jupiter's shift into Libra is an extremely fortunate transit for you because it affects your mind. Whatever affects your mind affects the rest of your life. (Consider this: The thought comes first; then comes the word. The word becomes the deed; and the deed eventually becomes habit. Finally, habit hardens into character. That's why your thoughts are who you become. Capice?) This year your thoughts are happy, optimistic, kind, wise, tolerant and forgiving. Great! That who you're going to become. Your plans for the future are large and expansive. You'll see that the only thing that's holding you back is you!
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
I'm sure it's music to your ears to learn and that you're going to earn more money in the year ahead. Money, money, money. A nice ring, don't you think? After all, money is so handy when you want to buy things. Speaking of which, not only will you earn more money this year, but your assets will increase as well. You'll be buying all kinds of goodies. Quite possibly, you'll spend more money in the year ahead than you've spent in ages. But somehow, you'll earn more, too. You might have better moneymaking ideas, or you might get a better job. Your self-image will certainly improve. (Society equates wealth with success.) Remember to share your wealth if you want to keep those goodies coming your way.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
I said that Gemini was the big winner because Jupiter now moves into Libra. But I lied. You are. (I'm admitting this in print.) Of course you are. Jupiter is in your sign. (Give me a break.) Actually, you're the one getting the big break. In a word, your happiness will increase enormously in the year ahead. You'll feel joyful, upbeat, optimistic and happy to be alive. This happiness will be so strong it will morph into appreciation. You'll appreciate who you are and what you have. (It doesn't get better than this.) People and opportunities come to you. New experiences give you a big learning curve. The only downside is calories. Lighten up on the Shiraz and the Havarti. (Sigh.)
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
More than any other planet -- even Neptune -- Jupiter is related to spirituality, wisdom, inner growth and self-knowledge. All that commercial stuff. "For only $9.99, you too, can be enlightened!" (Actually, I've heard it's cheaper in India.) What lies ahead for you this year is perhaps not perfect enlightenment, but imperfect enlightenment. (It's the next best thing.) That's where you act enlightened. It can be very impressive. Naturally, the year ahead will be accompanied by regular epiphanies and tiny Eureka! moments of seeing how life really works. (You mean it's clockwise?) You'll discover the value of practicing kindness and generosity. Who knew?
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Basically, you're a gregarious, social sign. (Even if you're hiding in a library, or canoeing alone.) You love social interaction because you're fascinated with the dynamics of society. That's why you're going to love the year ahead. Your popularity rating is off the charts! (Get that unlisted phone number now.) Friends, groups, organizations and clubs all want to see your face. You are loved! Furthermore, these people can help you now. (Don't hesitate to borrow a car -- or a cross-country van.) Your hopes and dreams for the future are big now. You see your limitations were self-imposed. This means you hold the key to your future!
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Do you think that you care if moneybags Jupiter slowly crosses the very top of your chart? Ha! Are bears in the woods? (Cleaner version.) You adore respect, status, prestige and success. In the year ahead, your profession, career, social standing and public reputation get a marvelous boost! All this stuff is right up your alley. You have always had a strong sense of destiny. You intend to be somebody. You don't put your pants on one leg at a time like everyone else - you leap into them from a flying trapeze. Expect increased travel with your work. Expect a promotion. Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Of all the signs, you of course, are ahead of the pack. You're the one aliens want to meet when they say, "Take me to your leader." (For one thing, you're the only person who will believe they even exist.) Writers are blessed this year because publishing and the media are well greased. Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
How sweet it is. All those goodies coming your way! In the year ahead, your partner will earn more. People will give you things. Inheritances are likely.
