Last week I mentioned a rare Venus transit (occurring June 8 for the first time since 1882) but what's it all about? Many think Venus is about love, but the Moon rules our feelings and emotions. Venus is about relationship (singular). It's how things relate to each other. For example, a beautiful face is symmetrical (the relationship of one half to the other.) The relationship of words, colours, textures, people and situations is the domain of Venus. Venus is a Yin planet, denoting receptivity. It draws things to you. Despite its rhyming potential, it's associated with the Feminine principle and pleasant things: beauty, balance, harmony, sweetness, money, and the arts. Venus is what we're attracted to. It's our bias. Bottom line: It's time for dessert! (Ah yes. A minute on the lips and forever on the hips -- but so yummy!)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Your relationships with your daily contacts are improving big-time! (Your neighbours, relatives and siblings.) How you talk and listen to others, how much you appreciate those who are in your life on a regular basis, how much beauty you see in your daily surroundings, and even your ability to negotiate, sell, and communicate -- these are the areas that are pleasantly blessed by this first-in-a-lifetime Venus transit. You'll still be the warrior of the zodiac, but you'll be ever so much sweeter. Artists, writers, singers, poets and artisans have a better chance of making money through self-expression now. Not just this week. For the rest of your life. This is a major shift.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Oh happy coincidence! We all know you love money. This doesn't mean you're greedy or materialistic. You're the financial wizard of the zodiac. You love your creature comforts. You manage your money well, and spend it with taste. Given the above, it's wonderful to know that this rare Venus transit occurs in your House of Money. Now what kind of a coincidence is that? In a word, you're going to start to feel wealthier and richer! This might happen in a literal sense (bigger bank account and more stuff) or it might come about through your perception of your world. This is a good time for financial investments and financial negotiations. You're laughing all the way to the bank! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Dahlink, it doesn't get much better than this. For the first time in your life, an occultation of Venus (an 'eclipse' as Venus passes between the Sun and the Earth) occurs in your sign! Holy Hubble! (I can't believe you're not going to get some new clothes out of this one, or maybe a different hairdo.) You're like a people magnet. Others are attracted to you like vampires to a blood bank. You're looking swell; everyone adores you, and you have a rare opportunity to patch up things and make peace with others. Your sex life can pick up. Your appearance will improve. Opportunities for fun and pleasure are increasing. (You're happy - even if you don't know it.)
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
The most subtle transformation of all (with respect to this rare Venus transit) takes place in your sign. In fact, it's so subtle you might not even notice it. (Just joking.) It heralds a shift in your inner world and your spiritual appreciation of life. It involves greater self-acceptance of not only who you are but also who you were. It's time to forgive yourself for past failings, decisions and choices. What's done is done. The question now is what are you going to do with the time left to you? Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Dio mio! What's with all those people fawning all over you? Do you have time for all this socializing? And now you're getting involved in more groups? A major shift occurs in your life now. As you bring down the curtain on one chapter (a world you created in the last 14 years), you're raising the blind on a whole new world. Fresh interaction with new people and different groups. Hmmm. Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Each sign experiences this "first in a lifetime" Venus transit in a different way. But for you -- it occurs at the highest point in your chart. (Mom always liked you best.) In a nutshell, things are improving so much in your life it's actually obvious to others! In fact, it's obvious to the point that some people envy you now. People (especially influential people like bosses, VIPs, teachers and parents) are super impressed with you now. Regardless of what you do for a living, you're probably making some kind of artistic contribution to something. Some of you might have a romance with your boss or someone older and more established. (It's not the Ferrari; it's true love.)
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Many ways, your idealism is aroused along with your appreciation for classic beauty. Your love of knowledge, wisdom and other cultures makes you want to travel and study. You know there's a rich, deep, meaningful world out there and you want to get some of it! After all, you only go around once, but if you do it right once is enough. This first-in-a-lifetime transit of Venus definitely brings you some goodies now. (Oh yeah.) They could be gifts from a partner or somebody else. You might get an inheritance, money back from the government, reduced debt, increased credit, or a benefit because your partner earns more. Wealth and increased assets comes to you through others. (It's a little bit of all right if you ask me.) There's more! Sex becomes sweeter and softer (oops, perhaps a poor choice of words.) It goes beyond the physical. You'll be picking up AM music in your Mercury fillings.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
This very rare transit of Venus occurs opposite your sign. This is the best placement for all your relationships (including your enemies.) Venus will restore balance, harmony and understanding to partnerships and your dealings with everyone (including customers.) You'll find your relations with everyone improve beautifully now! This makes life so much easier, so much more pleasant, and so much more fun! Others are impressed with your caring attitude, your patience and your generosity. In turn, you find easy to express affection for everyone. It's a love fest! And nobody's dropping acid. Your heart is just naturally expanding.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Since the turn-of-the-century, you've been busting your buns at work. I mean things were tough! Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
