All Signs
The Scorpio trip is definitely happening now. You can run but you can't hide. Give in, buy a mask and get in the spirit of things. (Boo!) This week Mercury bounces off Mars and Uranus bringing surprises and events that are out of the ordinary to us all. The upside is we won't be bored. The downside is life's like a hair-raising swoop on a roller coaster. Not everybody likes that much excitement. ("Give me back my velvet rut!") The upshot of this will bring reforms and improvements to things. Unfortunately, these improvements are sometimes the result of previous destruction. (Like my rock garden - last week, three of them bit the dust.)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
The biggest impulse that grips you right now is a desire to improve yourself. You get on this kick every now and then, but this week it really grabs you by the throat. Articulating clearly and wearing deodorant isn't enough. You want stellar results! Because you adore beginning things, you'll try to do it all. You'll go on a diet, stop smoking and drinking coffee, cut back on booze, reorganize your projects and throw away the unfinished stuff that's more than three years old. You'll paint the bathroom and fix that thing in the kitchen. You'll pop vitamins and get more exercise. And (yay!) you'll pay your bills. "Go me!"
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
A major concentration of planets (including the Sun) now opposes your sign. (Eyes across a crowded room and all that.) Although this can make you a bit tired (you'll definitely need more sleep), it gives you a beautiful opportunity to learn more about yourself through your relationships with others. This week in particular, friends and groups are full of surprises. They're coming on strong. You might meet somebody new and unusual, or somebody familiar might do something unusual and really amaze you. An element of novelty and originality certainly surrounds you now -- especially with partners and close friends. Go with the flow and look blase. (Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.) Or you could just let your mouth hang open.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
This will be a stimulating week for you. Your ruler Mercury makes strong aspects to both Mars and Uranus. This definitely lights your wick. You're bouncing off walls at work with bright, new ideas. In fact, you're so excited about something you want to share it with bosses and VIPs. Good idea. This is the perfect time to impress people with your snappy, quick thinking. Plus right now you have the confidence to express yourself with style and conviction. Talk may be cheap because supply exceeds demand, but smart talk is quite another matter. Whatever you do to present yourself to the head honcho will succeed. At the very least, you'll make a great impression. If you're lucky -- a raise or a promotion are possible. Speak up!
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
It's hard to say how certain planetary combinations could manifest in a person's life because there are so many possibilities inherent in the situation. But one of the possibilities for this week for your sign -- I kid you not -- is falling in love. Right out of the blue. Probably with someone you can't take home to Mom. Surprising twists and turns also relate to romance, creativity, the entertainment world and show business. Delightful, fun activity with children is also likely. This an amusing week if you just loosen up a bit. Don't be too influenced by past programming. After all, you only live once -- but if you do it right, once is enough.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
You're brimming with ideas about new and unusual angles, activities and applications for your home, real estate or family scene. This is not a typical week. All kinds of unusual events -- family related or domestically oriented -- take place now. You are both startled and energized by new ways of doing things. Home renovations suddenly yield stunning new dimensions. You might purchase unusual art or something rather high tech. In the same vein, (a little to the left of that artery) family activities are bizarre, different, hectic but exciting. But it's a good thing. Suddenly, things are moving forward clickety-click. (Time for Bilbo Baggins to sing a song.)
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Things are definitely buzzing this week. You feel alive, awake and ready for action. Life seems to have an electric, exciting quality to it now. You're full of all sorts of new ideas, especially about how to improve things. You want to build a better mousetrap. (You'll get a better class of mouse.) This is a good time to take a short trip or explore new possibilities with newspapers, teaching, driving and transportation, and public speaking. You've got the courage to push the sides of the envelopes a little now. In fact, you feel unusually bold and revolutionary. (This is allowed.) Have the courage to act on your impulses. "Even the tiniest person can make a difference in the world." (It's probably just a tiny difference.)
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Surprising events take place this week that affect your cash flow. One example would be an unusual or unexpected purchase. (Something noteworthy.) Another example would be starting a new job or getting a raise. Because it's a favourable astrological aspect, I doubt that the third example would be that you lose your job. No way. However, the surprises that occur are primarily related to your possessions and your earnings. But there is also a link to romance, vacations and children. Alternatively, you might purchase hobby related items. Or combine all of the above and take your new boss as a lover for a hobby. (Never confuse a hobby with a hubby.)
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Life is exciting this week! (Or overwhelming.) Conversations are lively, people are stimulating, and your mind is racing in different directions all at once. Naturally, you're pumped with three planets in your sign. (Plus you dig the Halloween scene: vampires, red lips, tombstones, hidden mysteries and just enough blood and gore to make it interesting.) Parties, entertaining diversions, creative breakthroughs and sly flirtations bring spice and interest to your week. You love this fresh break from your routine. This is definitely the time to put dental bleach strips on your canines. Get out of there and flash those pearly whites. (Maybe you can snarl a little, too.) What's a little love bite between friends?
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Surprise activity related to dealing with the government or large institutions is possible this week. Something will happen that catches you off guard. It might also relate to travel plans, publishing or neighbors and relatives. What surprises you might even be a secret that is suddenly revealed. "Ha! So it was you behind the curtain!" Remember however that you need more quiet time than usual. Get your rest; seek some solitude. Take some mental-health days if necessary. Ever since 2001, you've been really going for it. Recently, less support from others (including partners) has been stressful. Be good to yourself. You are your primary support.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Upsetting events (in all likelihood they will be pleasant and exciting) take place with friends, groups, clubs and organizations this week. Everything is up for grabs: nothing is predictable. However, in the midst of this swirl of activities, new acquaintances will delight you. Expect to meet a few characters. There's a remote possibility that one of your new contacts can affect your job or your earnings in the future. It could be a future partnership or it could be just a hot tip about something. Be open to sudden opportunities with publishing, foreign countries, travel, education, and legal matters. Life is so busy you feel almost driven. Just do what you can, that's all you can do. Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Surprise news from VIPs (or parents) makes you sit back and think. Suddenly, you have several avenues open to you. While choice always has its attendant complications and stress, keep in mind that happiness is having alternatives. This you've got in spades! Therefore, seek out stimulating people and listen to their opinions about things. Wild ideas that might ordinarily shock you now seem curiously insightful. It's as if you're putting a whole new spin on things. Similarly, others are impressed with what you have to say as well. Trust your creative impulses. In 2005, you'll get the feedback for all this hard work.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
This is the perfect time to take up a new study or to begin to research a new line of thinking, philosophy or religion. Fields that particularly appeal to you now will be involved with aviation, astronomy, astrology, technology, radios, computers, science, math and even the occult. You're drawn to new ways of thinking. You're extremely open-minded now. In fact, you might change your mind about something important. Growth always involves letting go of preconceived notions.
