All Signs
Pluto was in Scorpio from 1984-1995. In 1996, it moved to Sagittarius where it presently is and will remain until 2008. Like Shiva, Pluto is both the creator and destroyer. It tears down what no longer works in order to rebuild and renew. It digs deep and reveals secrets. Pluto in Sagittarius brings scandals and reform to (and about) the church, the media, higher education and the legal system. Its influence is inevitable and cannot be prevented or avoided. However, Pluto is like an "obstacle blessing". (Tough at the time, but in retrospect, a good thing.) Sagittarius and Gemini feel this current transit the strongest. However, we all feel it in different ways. (I feel it in my left big toe and now my cowboy boots don't fit.)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Pluto's transit in your chart (see above) is meant to alter your worldview. You will experience what might be perceived as crises that clearly demonstrate how invalid your old views are. They don't hold water anymore. This is a time of growing up for you. (Don't worry, it's a fake maturity -- you'll always be a kid at heart.) Specific experiences, teachers, gurus and travel bring profound new truths. Some of you will get religion. Others will change belief systems. Without question, your take on life (between 1996 -- 2008) changes dramatically. (People fear change, but change is a good thing -- and particularly satisfying when found in vending machines.)
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
This Plutonian transit is relatively easy for you because Pluto is going through its own home. ("Hi Darth.") It will revolutionize your attitude to sex and self-knowledge. It definitely impacts the possessions and resources you hold jointly with others. You will also experience important transitions of those who are close to you -- transitions that affect you. These experiences prepare you to face answers to deep questions. (Where's the money buried?) This week however, you are strong with the Sun in your sign. Mercury retrograde stirs up memories and people from your past. You are ambitious to improve your home now as well.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
This 12-year transit of Pluto through Sagittarius directly opposes your sign. You feel this the strongest when the mathematical opposition occurs, which is a 1 or 2-year window of time. What does this mean? It means major power struggles with partners and others! Invariably, one party attempts to dominate the other. You might try to make somebody over; or somebody else might try to do this to you. But in the bigger picture, during the decade or so of this transit, you'll find your closest relationships undergo a complete transformation. In large measure, this is because long hidden tensions are finally expressed. After the dust settles from all this - you will be stronger and more confident. (And older.)
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Pluto's movement through Sagittarius forces you to look at your health and pay more attention to your body's needs. Because Pluto has incredible transformative and restorative powers, whatever you do to improve your health -- yoga, workouts, whatever -- will give you fabulous benefits. (Far more so than at any other time in your life.) If your health is challenged, be assured you will get the maximum benefit possible for any effort you make to improve it. (Or your money back in 90 days.)We're talking complete physical regeneration. Major changes will also impact your job. It could be time to get outta of Dodge.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
During the time between 1996-2008, major changes and events will take place with respect to your children, grandchildren, and other people's children. Try to avoid power struggles with youngsters because they've got more staying power than you. Memorable moments with love affairs and romance definitely occur during this time. Heady stuff. We're talking juicy diary entries here. (Better to have loved a short than never to have loved a tall.) Love affairs are unusually intense, passionate and involved. (The kind you never forget.) Caution: beware of attractions to people who are not good for you. Toooo painful.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
As Pluto moves though the most private part of your chart, (no peeking) it affects your home, your family life and your most private existence. (No, this has nothing to do with porn sites.) During its 12-year transit (1996 - 2008) your home life changeS dramatically. Marriage, divorce, and separation are possible. Major renovations and repairs or a change of residence is also possible. Even your relationships with parents and family members change. Essentially, you are breaking away from anything that holds you back - including childhood patterns of behavior that are no longer appropriate. After this transit you will re-emerge as a new person. (But your eye colour will be the same.)
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
The transit of Pluto affects you in subtle ways, but then -- is anything really subtle? (Especially in an elevator?) For a wide variety of reasons, you've been and are still undergoing a period of acute self-questioning. It's as if the most casual conversations with others are suddenly fraught with significance. Your everyday beliefs, your everyday activities, and especially your dealings with siblings and relatives (plus neighbors) become significant and extremely important to you. Essentially, you are developing a new style of communicating to the world. Maybe you risk greater honesty now? Maybe you're learning a new language? How each day unfolds is important. You want your little moments to count. Good moments make good hours. (Bad moments make good stories.)
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Some of the most major changes taking place in your life during this Pluto transit deal with your job, your earnings and your possessions. By extension this means your self-image as well. You're breaking down old patterns and beliefs you had about how to find a job, how to hold a job, and how to make a living. New avenues of employment and creating cash flow speak to you now. In fact, your whole attitude towards property in general, might change radically. You're seeking a value system and a lifestyle that serves you better. This requires trust in others and especially trust in your self. (But you should still lock your front door.)
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Since Pluto is Sagittarius during this 12-year transit, your life will change the most dramatically of all. Pluto is about power and the correct use of power. The correct use of power is to attain a superior result. Ultimately, that is what you are striving for. You want a better body, you want a better self-image, you want better relationships and partnerships, and you want a high-speed connection to the Internet. Caution: your desire to improve yourself and everything around you can turn you into Darth Vader. Your attempts at self-improvement might trigger power struggles about control with those closest to you. Quit trying to improve your kids and your partner. Turn this inward -- on yourself. Even then, why not just accept who you are? (But keep your helmet on, Darth.)
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
For some years now, (and it continues) you've been forced to face your dark side or those hidden aspects of yourself you normally don't want to acknowledge. But this takes guts! When we refuse to face our hidden compulsions, they have far greater power over us. The consequences of your past actions are more obvious to you now. There's no point in kidding yourself or hiding. (Time flies when you're unconscious.) The name of the game is to own all of you. (What's to worry? You're not that bad.) Each of us has a dark side full of fear, insecurities, resentment, envy and dust balls. Your mission, should you accept to undertake it -- is to confront those hidden, unpleasant aspects. Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
By nature, you are global in your thinking and a net worker par excellence. But in recent years (and in years to come) you have taken these skills to another level. (Ladies Wear: Fourth Floor.) Your desire to participate in group discussions and group involvement to institute reform is practically obsessive now. Your ideals and goals are changing, and because of this you may drop friends from your speed dial. You're looking for a different kind of friendship now. Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
During the time of Pluto's transit in Sagittarius (1996 -- 2008) you will strive to go after what you want harder than ever before. You have the insight now to see what you want, and the power to go after it. Many of you will completely change your life direction. Either way, you will strive for success and self-realization with enormous determination. This is the most revolutionary time of your life! You will no longer be dictated to.
